Škoda Favorit a její verze combi s názvem Forman dostala spousty verzí výbavy. Od úplně té nejnižší až po vozy s 6 repro, radiem Blaupunkt, bočníma lištama, tonované skla, ostřikovače světel, střešní okno, centrální zamykání, střešní nosiče, mlhovky chránné mřížkou, zadní spoiler, tonované přední sklo s tmavým pruhem, kožený paket (volant, řadící páka ). Z dnšeního pohledu je to málo, na tehdejší dobu a problémy s materiálem to bylo luxusní lidové vozidlo. Kufr byl obrovský, po sklopení sedaček ještě větší.....u modelu s názvem Forman jste po sklopení sedaček mohly stěhovat cokoliv. Bylo to bezproblémové vozidlo, na současné poměry bez výbavy, na druhou stranu se nemělo co pokazit. Jediný problém po 200 000km byl těsnění pod hlavou motoru. Oprava za 100 euro v té době. A zase se jezdilo dál. 3/4 oprav šlo udělat doma. Stačilo pár klíčů a šroubovák popřípadě něco navíc. Ještě podotknu že jsi celou cestu nesvítil. To první tlačítko vlevo zapíná světla, pokud není zamáčkuté tak ty další ztrácejí funkci. Krásné retro video.........ačkoliv kdysi běžného favorita tak dnes už vzácného. Pokud by se ti podařilo sehnat někoho s Favoritem nebo Formanem třeba s označením Black/Silver/Green/Solitaire line nebo Million Edition tak určitě udělej recenzi. Zdravím polské bratry z Česka! :) I totally love your video. I have driven the exact same Favorit as an university student between 2014-2016 almost every day. Looking at this old rubber steering wheel and eating some student meal on it or learning for tests during lunch breaks inside the car was my everyday student story on a parking lots in Olomouc. I have had both versions - the carburateur (shown in your video) and later even the younger facelift with BMM Bosch mono motronic injection system and better looking dashboard and black plastics inside the car. I absolutely love that familiar cliking of the blinkers, that sound of 1.3 engine (later used in Felicias) and hunderts of squeeking and strange noises every minute of driving. I must say Favorit is my most popular Škoda model. It was incredibely cheap, quite relibale, gas consumption was good about 7 litres/100 km and in the winter the heating system was an absolute beast! I sold my last Favorit in 2018 and now I own only Citroën models from 90s and I do not like Škoda cars anymore expect these old ones (Favorit, Felicia), before VW f...d that brand up. That 1.3 seems like a remarkably good match for the car. Great gearing too! Happy it has a 5th gear or you'd have bleeding ears but jeez, that thing responds smoothly for a 1.3. Impressed!
They were great, the torque curve is contunuous just like as if it was a diesel. And the gearbox in the Favorit is the best gearbox fitted to a "people's car". So easy to use and so precise. There was also the Favorit 136 version (1987-1991), which had a tougher final gear ratio (3.895 vs. 4.167 in the 135 Favorit), which allowed the car to be much quieter (in 100kph it would rev something around 2 200rpm. The Favorit is all mechanical car and the people designing it gave it a fine tune with the help of Porsche of course.

Very nostalgic car. My grandpa had one from new, year 1990. He had to stay in a line for two days at the Škoda plant just to get a chance to buy it. Crazy to think he only had one car his whole life for 30 years.. It finally broke down in 2018 when rust had completely eaten the chassis and it was unsafe to drive.

Nice video :) one small correction from the description: the fuel tank in this (and all carburettor) cars was 47 litres. 42 litres stands for the fuel injected versions, where the 5 litres are occupied by the in built electric fuel pump unit, thus making the fuel tank capacity lower. The carburettor cars have a mechanical camshaft driven fuel pump mounted on the engine bloc.

Firstly it's Škoda, not Skoda. We had the Škoda 120, Favorit(1.3) and Felicia (1.6). This is the last actually Czech car. I have driven it on few occasions and I must say, it kinda holds well, even for today standarts. Its not really fast or anything, but as a basic everyday car it was great. Yea the fuel consumption was around 8-9 liters etc etc, but we actually drove in it 2000kms on a trip and it held up fine. No electronics so anything that happens you are able to repair.
how much range do you have with a reserve tank? As far as I can see, the light on the fuel gauge always flashes... I had the same one 22 years ago and was driving on the freeway and it happened to me that I stopped on the emergency lane
