- The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene is a massively popular book. It has helped tons of young professionals understand how to navigate the working world. Myself included.
I’m a huge fan of Mastery, which is also by Robert Greene.
Hopefully this helped you understand the context of the book. It’s more about what not to do, and what to watch out for-at least for me.

I just reread 48 and man it really is amazing.
I have been so eager to pick up Robert Greene's books - all of em. Thanks for sharing such an insightful review of Power.
Just picked this book up.
Bro, please make a video about your favourite 20 American authors and their works?
That honestly sounds like a fun challenge. May make a video like that at some point
Thank you for this video!

The book can be applied outside the corporate world
1.Conceal your intention.
2.Work on the heart and the minds of people
3.Disarm with the mirror effects
4.Despise the free lunch
5.Say less than necessary
6.Use absence and presence to increase respect and honour
7.Plan all the way to the end
8.Avoid the unhappy and unlucky.
9.Appeal to self interest not gratitude
In each of the laws he explains it under the topic keys to power .The power Robert Green is talking about goes beyond position ie legitimate power but control iethe ability to control what happens to you inyour social circles .
The book is not just about laws it also includes reversal and powerful quotes ,stories, poems written in red that applies or works in relationships as well
For eg in law 2 Bewary of friends make use of enemies he stated in the side of the book that a rich man and poor man cannot be friends ,a wise man and a Phool cannot be friends etc ....
@@augustinetwumasi5031 God bless you. I was looking for these laws. If I may ask are there others

you definetly make some interesting points so I’ll get the book and read it even though I heard really bad things about the book also why not try turkish lit sometime? I haven’t seen any videos on youtube about turkish lit why not be the first one to make it?
Do you have any Turkish lit recommendations? Let me know!
@@williampdozier Unfortunatly not a lot of Turkish books have translations but the ones I would recommend would be
Memed,My hawk by Yaşar Kemal
Madonna in a fur coat by Sabahattin Ali
The Museum Of Innocence by Orhan Pamuk (a author who won the nobel prize)
The Wren Reşat Nuri Güntekin
and if you want modern lit I highly suggest Elif Batumans books

That's not always the case I read this book to do good with the book and protect yourself from evil people
@@Hard_hustle if you wanna read a book to learn how to do good read the Bible. It has everything you need. You don’t need to learn from all these snake oil salesmen
