I had a former racing dog from Italy. My son was stationed in Italy ad he brought her home to the Navajo Nation and left her with me. I love this dog. Her name was Gypsy.
Dogs shoot out of the gate like a bullet. Ran like they were chasing a cat. I've seen Greyhound Races overseas and they use a mechanical rabbet around the rail of track. I haven't seen Hurdle Racing but it does make it more challenging and fun to watch.
Great companions, they ran 50 mph into my heart! I've had Greyhounds and lurchers for the past 27 years! I watched Greyhound racing in Galway Ireland! When they get through racing, please keep them as family members!
@@MairiVoorhees I'm sorry, I don't have that kind of information! I just teach golf! Loved Ireland, lovely people! I wish I could come across a lovely puppy Greyhound. Cheers!

I have a 10 year old ex racer. After her racing and breeding days she was in a rescue centre. Had to take her. We decided now, no more puppies, but ex racers. Live retirement in a family home
Hounds are described the qualities: HEAD LIKE SNAKE , CHEAST LIKE BEAM , LEGS LIKE CAT, TAIL LIKE RAT. EYES LIKE EAGLE . THE SHAPE LOOKS LIKE CHEETA WHILE RUNNING
You've beautifully described the qualities of greyhounds in that video! They do indeed have a head like a snake, a chest like a beam, legs like a cat, a tail like a rat, and eyes like an eagle. When they're in action, their shape is reminiscent of a cheetah running - truly amazing creatures! 🐾🏁
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad to hear that you appreciate dog racing and that you're a fellow dog lover. I think it's great that we can appreciate the unique aspects of this sport. Ultimately, what's most important is that we ensure that all dogs are treated with love, care, and respect, whether they're racing or not. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts, and I hope you continue to enjoy my content!
Is this Towcester? Never been to that track, I honestly can't see the point of the crowd being so far from the action. LOVE hurdles, the dogs used to love it too.
Yes, this is Towcester. The setup might be different, but some enjoy the thrill from a distance. Hurdles add excitement; it's great that the dogs used to love it too!

@ACequestrian They are not shoved into the box. They lift them in so they don't get hurt. They actually love going into the box because they know it's time to race and they love to race.
@ACequestrian the dogs aren't shoved in. And the dogs don't mind it. And it's not mean, It's better then just being let off leash. It's so they can get a good start and not crash into each other so that's why they are in boxes, to stay on the line that the gate is on.
Absolutely! Greyhounds are born to run, and they absolutely love the thrill of the race. It's in their nature, and many of them find great joy and excitement in the activity. Responsible owners ensure that they provide a healthy and safe environment for these amazing dogs to indulge in their natural instincts. 🐾💨

Yes. in the Middle East, countries like Saidi Arabia and particularly Qatar race camels. They use robotic jockeys that are control by the trainers with a remote control that could activate an electronic whipping device to urge the camel to run faster. Imagine the cruelty behind those electrical charges devices on the animals during a race ! A single race would usually lasts for more than 10 minutes. The camels are practically exhausted to the brink of collapse after a race !! They call it a " sport"

As a passionate lover of greyhound racing, I respect your perspective, but I must respectfully disagree. Greyhound racing, when conducted ethically and with a strong emphasis on animal welfare, can be a beautiful showcase of the athleticism and grace of these magnificent dogs. While I understand concerns about the welfare of the animals, it's crucial to acknowledge that many efforts are made to ensure their well-being in reputable racing establishments. Additionally, the bond between the dogs and their handlers is often profound and based on mutual trust and respect. It's essential to approach greyhound racing with an open mind and a commitment to the highest standards of care for the dogs involved.
