Presidential Dollar Coin Errors- What To Look For In 2007-2016 Series

- The first release of the series featuring George Washington had a mintage of more than 300 million pieces across the Philadelphia and Denver Mint facilities. After this brisk start, the mintages for subsequent issues of the Presidential Dollar program would experience a fairly steady decline. While the new $1 coin series found a welcome reception with collectors, the coins failed to achieve widespread use within commerce.
Even with production significantly curtailed from earlier levels, stockpiles of excess dollar coins began to build within Treasury vaults. The situation came to a head at the end of 2011 when the Treasury Department announced the decision to suspend production of the series for circulation.
From 2012 onwards, the Presidential Dollars have not been struck for circulation and only produced in the limited numbers necessary to fulfill demand from collectors. These coins were only available within numismatic bags and rolls offered by the US mint at a premium to face value. Accordingly, mintage levels for this portion of the series are significantly lower. The lowest mintage level for the series occurred with the 2013 Woodrow Wilson release, which had 7,980,000 pieces minted across the Philadelphia and Denver facilities.

Hey big D I have some Sacajawea coins you can see the edges was stamped but you can tell they Smooth or polished the lettering off the edges but you can tell they were stamped and make some of the lettering out
Big D has another video regarding that. I think they go for big$ but you have to pay to have them graded.

Man I have a $1 Walter Van Buren double die obverse coin with a double stamp D mint mark. I can’t find anywhere where it states that those exist and yet I HAVE ONE!! No one is paying attention to my appraisals, I mean is it even worth anything? I just want to know if I have something or not. The doubling can be seen to the naked eye so it’s obvious that there’s doubling happening. This his name and the lettering underneath the prez head. Bob Stephenson if you typed it in it could be worth a hundred thousand or can be worth $100 depends on the condition and the year that it was made in the production run and how many they made in that run
Google.... "Star Note Lookup" It will ask the year and serial # to give you the mintage rarity of the bill.

I have the presidential quarter set up to when they quit selling them to the public which was Ruthford B Hayes gutterboy autocorrect I guess they don't know how to spell Rutherford in Bangladesh we'll slap my face they do. There are no HD facts on the first three presidents and none on Polk or Tyler. George has a darker finish than the rest don't know if that makes any difference. For extras I have to Abraham Lincoln's 1 Ruth for B Hayes, 1 Ulysses S Grant, 2 Andrew Johnson, and 1 John Adams. And I have the presidential dollar coin collection kits that they are in including 64 page full color book of president facts with the overlap with the Constitution with a picture of Jimmy Carter, JFK, and Theodore Roosevelt. Oh did I mention it has a magnetic overlapping its clasp fancy. Anybody interested I was thinking about collecting the whole set when they came out like the quarters but I only got two full sets of state quarters and the Sanford Center presidentials that I quit cuz I got five grandchildren quite cover equal gifts any buyers out there. one set of state quarters George is a little different colored also that makes a difference.
For extras I have to two Abraham Lincoln's Karma, and there are not Annie side effects on the first three presidents have to State it differently what the heck got out of HD fax I have no idea and I hate to type with my fingers!

The act specifies that for a president to be honored, the former president must have been deceased for at least two years before issue, hence former presidents Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and current President Donald Trump were ineligibles to have a dollar coin issued in their honor, the series ended in 2016, after honoring Ronald Reagan, the last President who was eligible. Sincé the program has terminated, producing coins for those presidents not yet honored would require another Act of Congress.
