YOU MISSED OUT ON THE DAYS WHEN WE COULD WALK INTO A BANK AND BUY SILVER COINS BY THE BOXES BUT I DIDNT AND NOW I SIT ON ALL MY SILVER COINS FOR A HEDGE AGAINST INFLATION AND I WON! My grand children will inherit my fortune and my decisions to save my wheat cents and war nickels and all my liberty dimes half dollars and quarters is paying off because I held my coins all my life
Mayron ako deto LlBERTY 1979 one dollar

I enjoy finding wheatback pennies and silver coins. One day, a customer paid for his meal in the exact amount. I automatically knew it was a great moment for me. Having handled money over several decades I knew I had a treasure without looking, but by the weight in my hand. I pulled a quarter out of my pocket and exchanged it for the one the customer gave me. I got a silver quarter, and the meal was paid for. Once as a customer, I was given change back. Amongst my change was a Winged Liberty dime. What I have may not be big sellers like in the video, but they are worth more than face value.
I'd enjoy finding a wheatback, 1909 - S VDB penny even better!
I used to work in a grocery store. I was the only person there that was into coins, most of the cashiers would save any silver for me, or just old looking coins. One day a lady paid for something with 5 Franklin halves, but those days were very rare. I can't even recall the last time I found anything cool in my change and I check every time. The amount of cool coins in circulation is getting to be very small. During covid I exchanged for over 400 dollars worth of quarter's just to find one W mint mark. A sign of the times I guess, too many coin collectors . I think the days of randomly finding silver in change are gone forever .
Great video as always Couch! As for those watching if you do find a nickel with misplaced mint mark i wouldnt expect a $1,000 return if sold. The nickel in the beginning of the video that sold for $1,000 for misplaced mint mark is mostly because it was a part of the Fred Weinberg collection that on its own gives it a lot of value. Always remember no matter what you think you have condition means everything. It will determine 99% of the value of your coin 99% of the time. 😊 Good luck everyone i wish you well and good fortune.
I appreciate your videos that actually convey knowledge as most on TH-cam are so ridiculous on the values and misinformation .
I enjoyed watching this video, thank you very much for sharing, Have a great day, take care. 😊
The 71-72 nicks have mm as well. Thanks Justin. EIEI OH MY MY!! 👌👍🏴☠️🇺🇸 oh chit, I have a 1955 penny that might have been struck on the wrong planchet. Now I need to track it down and weigh it. I'll let you know. It's a odd error. Part of the edge is thicker towards the reverse of the penny...👍
Hi Justin. Just wanted to thank you for your informative video, it perked my interest. I'm not a coin collector, but I do have a small amount of family coins from decades past. I decided to re-examine to see if I had anything of worth. Low and behold in cache of 31 Indian Head Pennies, I ran across one 1862 cent that was much thicker and exhibits a die break, But the really unusual thing is it looks like the coin was made on a silver not a copper planchette. Your thoughts and comments would be helpful.. You never can tell what you might run across. Thank you again for jogging my interest in coins.
I'll stick with 1964 and older silver quarters, dimes, half dollars and dollar coins. 90% silver baby! I tried that rare numismatic routine, lost patience with it and concluded that all the "good sruff" was taken. Just my take.
Love watching your channel. One thing I think about when considering coin sold value is cost of grading service and shipping. So grading at pcgs is around $40 without variety consideration. Then shipping cost. So a coin selling for $30 on eBay minus thier 10% , grading cost and shipping cost don't think there is any room for profit. Just saying
All these videos will keep you insane looking for a needle in the haystack. Coin shops don't even look for errors.
I agree. A family friend gave me $440 in quarters to roll up for her and to look for errors and I only found 6 error ones and the errors weren’t even that notable. The only really decent quarter she had was a 2019 W San Antionio mission quarter that I paid her $10 for and a couple of uncirculated ones from the 2010s that I needed.
@@glennmillerfan it's still a decent pastime. Buying rolls to search then saving up to purchase PM's. A person could do a hell of a lot worse.
@@glennmillerfan❤😊
to RollerSkatinSAGActor:i noticed your name and thought to sell you some adjustable rollerblades! 😊
@@SoBelleI thank you very much for your offer however I'm a old school skater and if you put me on Rollerblades I will end up on the floor lol I grew up on skates but I definitely need eight wheels:-)
Awesome very informative videos. Thanks!
Crushed the like button! Excellent information and thank you so much for sharing!
So you sell a coin for $25, $40 or $60, how much does it cost to have it certified?
Unless you're a dealer with Elite membership and bulk submission rates, submitting coins worth under $100 would likely be a waste of money. For NGC, the cheapest membership level that you would need to submit coins directly is Associate, which is $25/year. Then, it's $19/modern coin (1965 or later) + $10 handling fee per submission + shipping. Older coins are $40/each. Additional options like variety attribution, special labels, internet imaging, etc are extra. If you don't want to pay for annual membership, you could go to a local coin shop and they can submit them for you for a small fee. They can also advise you what would make sense to get graded or not and why.
What about the one I have
I have so many coins ..my question is where do I sell them as I'm in SA ..
❤ 😊 love your updates of information keep it up
Makes me wonder about those times in the arcade when a quarter would get rejected constantly...
Oh wow. The only thing I can think of like that is one time I worked at a place and a guy paid with a role of nickels and it had a few slugs in it. Couldn't believe it - only about three slugs for all that trouble.
is that discolored area what to look for? what do you do if the corrosion on the penny you can’t see the year or mint mark?
Thank you so very much!
Have @ Wonderful New Year's!//thanks
Twaskyou sr for the information
Blessings
Good job man thanks congratulations
I have a 1993 Quarter that has a mess up in the dye on the front. How do I find out if it's worth something?
Thank you
Its depends but some coins old dirty are good find in ground using metal detectors
I have some error coins, where do I sell them?
thank you for sharing this video
i have a wheat penny collection and one i think is a 1944 or 45 and i dont know if its an error coin or not but it has what looks like it had molten lead or amother soft metal on the face id like to send you some pics if theres a way to
I find it much harder to find the eagle quarters, White House nickels and the older copper pennies
you mean Monticello?
I know that in the laundry vending business I would find 1970 quarters because they would ring like silver quarters. I'm sure many of these that I heard and found were of the dime stock thickness. We were tossing back into the till because they were not silver quarters . Go figure.
I might have that 1970 d i gotta check
Justin- For weeks now I have been trying to show 3 Jefferson Nickels to any legit dealer - but none want to look. They all have very low mint marks - like at the very bottom of jeffersons hair- 1970S- 1972D and 1971S- Is it really that if they havent seen it- they think it must not exit??? For real?
These videos continue to make me go crazy considering im new and the odds of me finding a error coin thats new oe worth alot of money is slim yet i continue to search 😂😂
Man you would think that those coins would be worth thousands of because of the extreme error something that's already messed up and if that isn't true why would the 1955 that's all dirty and old and because it has a double die it's so for millions of dollars the whole coin game is contradicting. itself and the grading really doesn't have any impact because you could go on coin facts right now and you see coins for lower grads sell for hight prices and higher grads sell for next to nothing and in an auction is supposed to be a place where you can take your collectible and get the highest price possible and yet somehow someway that's not happening so looks like to me like somebody is making up their own rules or selling their coins and making sure that everybody else's coins are just a smoke screen so it's not so obvious when it's really a luck of the draw because that got to let somebody win sometimes otherwise it would be completely obvious and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out
Yep and I wonder if you get your coin graded how do you k is if you actually get your coin back ?
شكرا
Hi I have a question with 1983 no mint mark. I found one that looks like a DDR. I would like to send you pic if you could tell me if it is.
I have a 1957 D that looks close to mint
I have a 1911 penny with a clamp underneath Lincoln at the rim. What is that worth...if any? Also the L in liberty is not lined up correctly.
I have two bicentennial quarter with mint error. How can I get it graded.
I want to know where do you go to verify the value and where do you go to sell it.
First, get it certified by A reputable service like PCGS in Manhattan. They'll clean it, rate it and, seal it in a plastic holder for approx. $20-$50 (usually $35) with this and give it an official rating; keeping it sealed, you'll get the best price you can and most likely every place you go will offer you an amount in that ballpark. Also you can now look it up online and find the going price rather than haggling with some store clerk who haggles every day. Oh, yeah, Bring your online rating with you!
Not sure about sending it off how do you know if you get your coin back
@@belindadavis493 Send it by certified mail return receipt requested so they sign they recieved it and you get proof. They can send it to you like that too.
Where do you go if you have a value coin?
I made a mistake once I spent a quarter that only had 3 numbers on it, 198 there was absolutely no essence or smashing or imprinted reminince of a fourth number
Sir i have a liberty coin dated 1776 - 1976 half dollar at reverse coin the word independence is incomplete...INDEPEN NC HALL ...is this an error coin how can i send it to you...from philippines
I have a quarter that's 1941 quarter, and it's super clean, no wear and it's SHINY BIG TIME. IS IT VALUABLE
Melt only. About $3-$4.
I live in Florida close to Tallahassee. Where would I go to get my coins certified ? Help Please
Can u tell me whT u think I have a North Carolina quarter here odd versus very smooth it looks like scratches but they're very smooth
where do you go if you have a value coin
I believe I have a couple of the 1945-S Wheat pennies but other than it looks darker how do I actually tell if it the one's worth $1,700?
I have plenty US old dirty coins:1909, many 1944 etc.. 57 pcs...
I have a silver 1980s penny curious on it are there errors throughout for silver colored pennies
@@user-wr9qn1ro7bnot true. Probably nickel, zinc, or lead plated.
I have a few weat Penny's as well
I have a quarter that would not fit in a washing machine or dryer. It is dark, year 2000, a Virginia 1788 quarter. It has a punch, like a large dimple on the cheek of the president.
Don't know what it might be worth.
Just a dirty clad quarter. The nickel in these turns dark when in the ground. Likely a dug coin found by someone with a metal detector. No value over face value.
A great daily habit to get into is to never spend any change...if it means busting another dollar bill then so be it....or if I'd listened to my Daddy I'd taken 20.00 outta every paycheck and let it grow.....
How can anybody send any of these coins off for Grading and end up paying more for Grading then what they are getting for them, need some explaing please.
Bulk submissions are cheaper than the regular ‘consumer’ prices
Anybody know if there is a die cast mule in nickel 1978? Is someone looking for quarter 1964?
Watching host, beautiful sharing vedio for learning ❤
I have Quarter Dollar 1966 D mint nickle 1970 D mint nickle ,1987 P mint nickle and 1 Dime 1965 nickle ,.5 cent 1990 D mint nickle and 5 cent 1975 D mint nickle any offer?all in nice conditions

May i know where to sell the coin pls. Ty ❣
God bless you 🙏❣️🙏
I only have one 1970 D out of over $700 in quarters I went through
I can’t spend any change now
What do I do with them then? Can't trust any of these coin shops, near impossible to get to an auction place, then to proof is nearly a nightmare but I've also only tried a few times.
I have a lot of these coins listed on evilbay, but they will never sell
I have every single coin you're talking about where do I go to get rich cuz I've called all the coin places around me and stuff like that and they don't seem to know
I was given a 2009 rare penny with Lincoln log on the back. I wish I could find out how much it is worth.
Not much. It's part of a 4 coin series depicting Lincoln's stages in life. 10 years ago they were all the place in change, I haven't seen one in my change in maybe 4 years. I managed to save maybe 10 sets of them , but if they aren't BU it better , not worth much, for now
Eu tenho quart dollar 1982 com este error com a sigla (D) mas entupido totalmente, abraço do Brasil!
They must have been smoking in Denver in the 70s
What if a quarter did not get the grooves on the side? It also is missing details, such as all the leaves on the trees and there aren't any feathers on the duck.
Quack😆a duck?
I bought book on coins to get value
American coins book
Duck???? WTF???
Eagle
How should I sell them ?
After I watched your video about fraud on the internet. I get nothing but the ei videos that invaded my phone. I had to find you again on line to get you back. Thanks for the update. Very incidious people 🙈🙉🙊.
I have a 1918 Clam Shell penny, on both sides i n the same place on both sides. where would be the best place to send it off.
Thanks for sharing your coins
I have the 1966 quarter with error at bottom of the date, bottom of date is flatter then rest of date
Looks just like one in pic at beginning of video, bottom of the 66 is flatter than rest of the date.
I have a Bicentennial quarter with no mint mark. Is that valuable?
No
Where can sell coins
I have a 1920 wheat penny. Some other pennies 40 and 50. Are they worth anything?
That nineteen twenty sounds pretty rare- you rarely run across those.
What would something like that bring through the proper channels. The shops where I live will not give anything for it and will not even tell me what it true worth is.
@@sterlingrachwal1320 Hi, I tried to find a reply I read under one of these videos and I can't find it. But they said something about a website that would grade coins. Please be very careful. A lot of people will offer you like a quarter for a penny and they're worth so much more. My brother sold some comic books on ebay and he goes ...guess how much I got guess how much I got? I said forty dollars. He said how'd you know? I said do you know a number one Superman is worth a million dollars you better be real careful what you're selling for $40!
they're worth a cent
I have a 1966/1 coin. How much is it?
I want to know how you know if a penny or any other coin was put on the wrong planchette like a Peru planchette how would you how can you tell if a penny was put on a different planchette.
Weigh it
Cent NOT penny. The penny is a British or Irish coin.
One cent, so what you're saying is I have to weigh each all the one cents.?
How do I found the people to sell the coin
I have this 1935.1965.1975 coins dollar.were can i sold it.
I have a 1944 wheat penny with no mint mark, but there’s an L above the word liberty on the left side
True this
1944 wheat around ms67 could you let me know the value
I have that coin five cent , and quarter dollar coins
I have a 1936 D penny that looks Steel and in MS condition, what went wrong.
If you find a misprint coin who do you contact?
Hi, Sir. Newbie “collector” / tuber here. How can I share a couple of my vids with you for input and critique?
Well that answered my own question, I guess I just did by commenting, HA! Any input you could offer would be greatly appreciated
Where can I sell it sir?❤
I've always wondered how a coin from the US mint could be struck on a foreign planchet? Did the US mint coins for Peru or other countries at some point?
Good question
U clean coins using 2:39 distill water: like for iron it’s no minerals in water.
Just got a 2020 penny. It's aluminum
Zinc, with the thin copper plating taken off.
What if i have one on that coin yes , who will buy in this coin please
Hi, I have a quarter looks like a misprint, but I’m not sure I’d like you to take a look at it somehow if you could get back to me
I found a 2016 Harper's Ferry quarter with a "p"...wonder what's the value
25 cents
Harper's Fairy
still I have 70as how can I sell it how can I sell it??
Eu tenho várias moedas destas
I would not by from SD Bullion again. They offered "random descriptions" of more rare coins in a lot, but sent none of the older coins pictured in the description. For another constitutional coin, their lot was double the price of other reputable dealers. Their explanation? That's the way it is, "thank you for your understanding..."
What is a gold nickel worth because I do have one
Meron Ako nyn
I have that coin here in phillipines if you interested
Nice video.
