I have Scaler 2 and am still at the beginner stage after 1 year. It is fabulous for chords and some of the instruments are really nice. Thank you for making this video. I would love to get a more basic beginner course on it becaue I find with age, and with a ADHD brain there is so much stuff to look at on the interface I very quickly get distracted. I love your calm and easy way of showing what you learn and sharing it with us... I would love to watch a very simple break down of the plugin capability in a user context...
Excuse me, can't figure out how can I map(bind) a key(in A section) to a specific chord? I chose a specific key B min, I got all 7 chords in Section B, I dragged them to Section C, and now I want to select a B key for I chord B min, D for III D maj, and so on. I thougt it should have been MIDI Capture, but it didn't work.
The ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ button in each section bind the chords in that section to your midi controller so you can execute each chord with 1 finger pressing a key.
Apple loops use a *.caf format, which automatically adjusts to the key of the project (GarageBand or Logic). The more typical *.wav files can also be adjusted up or down in pitch, but with tools in your DAW, it's not automatic.
@@JeffyG gotcha thanks, so if i have wave gotta do transposition, but would not be a problem to import sound in scaler 2 via audio recognition, because from there can write infinite midi with scaler2
Hello, I've watched your tutorial several times specially the part that you can just type in the chords. I downloaded the Scaler 2, with all the the in app purchases just over a year ago, and still can't complete a single backing track. I can't seem to find the "chord search" area where you can just type in the chord"s name. Thanks and enjoyed your very informative tutorial.
Hard to answer without sharing a screen shot, but...far right, next to the keyboard, select '2 Chords' to bring up the chord edit page. You'll see the circle of 5th in the middle. Right next to the circle is a text box labelled 'Chord Search'. Just start to type in the chord name...like 'C min' and it'll show you all the chord names than match.
@@JeffyG Thanks so much JeffyG, I'll try to find it when get back home. If you have any other suggestions on easy way input chords into Scaler 2, I'm all ears. This app is incredible, except when I try to input chords then I go bonkers. Thank again and more power to you,
Really appreciate you explaining at a slower pace that gives me time to FIND the thing on the app! This is really helpful!
