Having extra space for storage is both a blessing and a curse. I think to some extent we have all experienced the effects of shorter attention spans and lack of focus even if it may not be to thr level of diagnosed add or adhd.

Yes Angie, I talked to my 11 & 14 year old about the party boat with seniors and daring the boy to jump in. This generation is fearless and will do anything for notoriety and to go viral ! That poor boy was killed and the guilt of the kids that dared him. Sadly this is a good thing to talk to our kiddos about. Good friends don’t dare, they look out for eachother. ❤ Thanks for being your authentic self ❤

You are awsome! I just found you a couple of weeks ago and I loove how honest and real you are! I don’t have any friends, close true friend, that are not like you! I have a huge pile of all kind of things that I can’t declutter that needs my husbands’ help to deal with. I can see much of myself in you and I am just in the sofa, not wanting to do anything for the second day in a row… I also make piles everywhere and as we moved from our big house of over 30 years into a small apartment without enough closets and space for our necessary things it is overwhelming. We do have a small house as well but space is precious and to buy more cupboards, cabinets etc. is taking for ever to do and is expensive. Phu! You inspire 🥰

The realness is what many of us relate to and appreciate most. Life is a challenging, chaotic, messy struggle, but what joy there is in the beauty we also experience and get to help create, the fellowship we find, the laughter in the inperfection, the ideas and inspirations we get to share. It's all the great adventure and journey. So much to experience, do, and learn, as we rely on God to help us with the assignments He has given to us.😊❤

Oh girl! There are 2 methods of cleaning/organizing. The Mount Vernon or the Mount Vesuvius method. Mount Vernon goes clock wise around a room, cleaning, dusting and tidying. Mt. Vesuvius takes everything out of the room and only moves back in what matters. I am so much a Mt. Vesuvius kind of organizer. Spent almost 20 years as a Navy wife, packing up and leaving anything we didn't need or love every 2 years. Imagine my shock when I've spent the past 22 years in once house?? One place! Disaster. Still teaching for help and others to help me manage is disaster. One room at a time in my youth was the way. Breath and please care and love my friend in your mirror??

Hopefully, I will conquer this way of doing because I love recycling, giving away, donating and throwing away when there is no hope anymore for the thing. I should also mention I am a bit of a fabric hoarder and I cannot get rid of that. I may need that fabric to complete one of the dozens of quilts I am planning to make 😂😂.

Omg!!! I don’t think I am adhd or add but I have wondered on some level. My husband is so I am learning on how to be patience with him. When you said you were going to take everything out of the space - I got excited because I was thinking about doing this in one of my rooms because I’m downing in stuff. It’s my own fault but we have to move in the spring and we have six young kids so I feel like I am never going to get ahead. This is actually a strategy from a book my husband read and suggested years ago titled “the joy of less” by Francine Jay.

You should try doing powder dip nails! They are the best for me! I do mine and they stay 2-3weeks!🎉

There was an American guy (28) who died a couple days ago here in Hungary. Jumped off of a boat in the Danube river because of a dare. He was a good swimmer but that river is wild. We Hungarians do know that but he did not. They found his body the next day I think. These drinking on a boat+dare “games” have to stop.

I am doing the exact same thing in one of my rooms. I could not continue on without emptying the whole thing first. ADD stinks!

You’ve given me inspiration to tackle my office/school room/extended pantry/junk room… your room is tame compared to mine. Trust me… scary lol
On a side note I love your nail polish 😊

Thank you so much for sharing this!! This is soooo me lol. My husband is Type A and doesn't understand why I make piles everywhere, and it gets to the point I feel overwhelmed when I try to go through stuff to get rid of it. BUT I'm at the point in life (you and I are almost the EXACT same age) I just want it gone, so this past week I've been tackling my homeschool room and office as well (and I also move everything out of the room first!). Hoping to finish today. Oh, and I also have a daughter named Ivy 😊

What I don't get is you took it out and put it on storage. To see if you would use it in the next year. Did you use it in the last year? If not why not just get rid of it now, instead of hanging onto it another year?

Could you share where you bought your brown desk chair? Thank you!!!

Wow! That’s a lot of stuff. Do you really use all that stuff? That would suffocate me but there are a lot of people who are overwhelmed and continue to live with it. You are helping those people to deal with it. Donna
