    Tim, glad to see the big guy on that compact scooter! Those E-TWOW models are really spunky for their size and the range, for me as a less big guy, has been impressive. Go Double Unicorn!

    Hi Tim, I have the smaller s+ model and it’s great. It just lacks the drum break and kickstand and has a 500 watt peak motor pretty much (look at my user icon pic and that’s the model I have in black). Its also a tiny bit shorter. It’s solid rubber tyres though don’t think they are foam filled. I’m 84kg and my sport is great for trips to the store or short journeys for fun, great thing is the etwow scooters are small enough to carry in the shop with you, stick in a trolley etc. I gave some feedback to etwow a while back saying about water resistance and indicators and they said indicators they are working on and also pointed out to me that the 2021 GT SE can now be ridden in light rain and through puddles up to 1cm deep! Apparently they have changed the controller housing and battery. Electron surfer did a great review actually of the old sport vs the newer sport. I rode a voi rental scooter here in the Uk which is basically a ninebot max with front fork suspension and I was slightly underwhelmed that the ride comfort wasn’t as better as I thought it would be compared to my etwow sport so just shows how good the etwow suspension is. Only downside is the solid tyres make going over bumpy surfaces a bit noisy. I think honeycomb or dual density tyres, indicators, ip55 rating (just in case) and the GT would be the best scooter by far for dry weather commuting or fun. I hope they add the drum brake to all their models also 😀 keep up the good work.

      @TimsElectric  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Anthony
      I love my little GT SE.
      I am shorter than you (6') and at present just 260lbs
      I use it all the time to ride into town, off to the stores, soccer pitches, massage treatments etc and love it.
      I wouldn't want to go more than 5 Miles on it (as it's small and so is the battery)...I reach for it all the time :)
      If you wanted some hills and longer range then maybe look at the Varla Pegasus...solid tires too but bigger battery....but it's also quite a bit heavier.....I use the Pegasus for longer rides...hope this helps :) :) do let me know what you decide on and how you like it after a few weeks :)

      That's a really good question....I'll need to do a range test....but I use it for short hops at present...but Melissa follows me all of the place with me and we get home and she has (80%) lol ,...but for a big guy I'll do a range test :)

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do ride it in wet pavement and with mild rain...no issues....but I don't see a rating on their website...I'll reach out as and ask :)

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uscooter got back to me right away :)
      Here's what they say:
      The scooter is water resistant not waterproof so you would need to use good judgement. If you know it’s going to be heavy rain you should try to avoid riding and always steer clear of deep puddles. It has a rating of IPX4 so riding in a light rain won’t cause a problem but you need to use caution as the roads get slick. We do silicone around the battery compartment before it leaves our warehouse for some extra protection. We sell 1000’s of scooters a year and do not see very many water related issues as most people use good judgement. If you know it’s going to be heavy rain covering the display with saran wrap for example is something some daily commuters do. The key is to avoid puddles and heavy downpours and be safe on turns as roads get slick.

      @@TimsElectric thanks for the detailed reply. My issue is that I moved from Australia to Malaysia and it rains often. That's why I was thinking of getting one of the ninebot scooters, either max or F40, but I want something with more torque and speed and is lighter. The new e-twow gt se is what I want. I guess it's so light I could also get a waterproof bag for when the rain gets heavy.
