I’ve hit 35 mph going down hill and 29-30mph on flat ground. Then again I weigh 155 lb.

    Well balanced review.
I received one of the first Uscooters GT Sport, but had a ton of problems with it:
    - Less than 10 mile range
    - Very poor acceleration when battery was less than 40%
    - Error message, followed by complete shutdown and burning smell from scooter when doing range test
    - Very poor electronic braking (weak, jerky)
When I reported these issues they tried to gaslight me, claiming that I was the only one experiencing problems. Then a few weeks later they suddenly released a new controller for the scooter, claiming it would fix any issues that customers were experiencing. They refused to return my scooter after I had sent it in for repairs/replacement, claiming they were afraid to “disappoint” me again! 🙄 They also refused to send back the AirTag that was on my scooter.
I ended up getting a NIU KQi3 Pro for half the price of the Uscooters GT Sport and it has *much* better build quality than the GT Sport. It feels like an actual vehicle rather than a toy. While the KQi3 has a lower top speed, I prefer that to not having to worry about all of the problems I had with the GT Sport.
It’s concerning to see that so many defects were let through quality control after two years of development of what is just a rather incremental upgrade to the old GT SE model. I hope you don’t end up regretting your purchase.

Yeesh, I keep hearing some people saying it’s great and other people saying it has all sorts of problems. Thanks for the detailed list.

You’re welcome. On paper the GT Sport sounded like the perfect commuter scooter. Unfortunately, it was released before the bugs were worked out.
I’d recommend potential customers do a bit of reading and decide for themselves. If they still get a GT Sport and find out it’s a lemon, they can’t say they weren’t warned.
For me, going forward I will now only buy well built scooters like the ones put out by Segway, NIU and Inokim.

Thank you for your review. I received my E-TWOW GT Sport on 9/6/22. I am a first time electric scooter buyer so, admittedly, I don’t have anything to compare it to. I bought the scooter as a last mile commuter vehicle for my doctors appointments because there’s no parking by my doctors offices. I wanted something that is lightweight and portable that easily fits in the trunk of my car and doesn’t take up too much space in my apartment. After some research I chose this particular scooter.
So far it has met my needs very well. It is a solid scooter although it is ultra portable and lightweight at about 28.7 pounds. The ride is a bit jittery but that’s what I expected as my research revealed that solid tires will give you that jittery ride. However, the suspension system takes the larger bumps well. It is a very zippy scooter that powers up the hills I’ve ridden nicely. I am 5’11” and weigh between 217 to 220 pounds, and it took the hills that I went up with no problem. I don’t have a grade of the hills but they were pretty steep. The other day I rode 16.3 miles on 80% battery. The fastest I’ve gone so far is about 23 mph on speed level four. I will soon test to see how fast I can go when I put it on unlimited speed level five. I don’t want do too much too fast as I am a new rider as I mentioned before.
I only have a total of 45.9 miles so I can’t speak of it’s durability. But, from what I’ve read, E-TWOW has a decent reputation for quality scooters so I hope it will last a few years.
One note: I read that the battery will not operate at peak capacity until three charge cycles. So, it may not get top mileage on the first few rides.

Hi, have you ridden it in rain? Does the battery degrade much after 3 years?

    • @anthonydash3150

@@Trust_but_Verify No, I haven’t ridden it in the rain. I don’t think it’s advisable due to the solid tires and their lack of traction on wet surfaces. As for the battery, I’m not sure as I’ve only had mine for about 7 months. I haven’t noticed any degradation yet.

I just received my GT Sport in orange on 9/20/22 to replace my old Booster V which had been used for almost 3 years due to motor failure, and admit it to say that this scooter is a BEAST!! The acceleration is very strong just because it has 200W more power than Booster V which has 500W, and it really go fast, but it also means that it will drain the battery more quickly and less mile range, so I set the speed limited to 16mph, it still pretty fast for me but hey safety first, and it get more mile range which is good for me.

I’m assuming you tested a recent build of this model? How are acceleration and regen braking for you? Does regen still kick in at high speeds?
I heard earlier 2022 models had 0 regen until 16mph and under. Are you able to begin using regen above that speed?
I also heard that the acceleration and regen levers are both poorly programmed, basically only capable of being on or off. Was this your experience, or do you find that can you ease into them?
Lastly, is the acceleration jerky? I’d really appreciate your thoughts. I’m seriously considering one of these to replace my recently stolen Hiboy s2 Pro, but there are so few owner experiences out there. If the rumors are true, they could be dealbreakers.

reading 100% are you having that
issue. I contacted uscooter and they
