When Logan came out, Hugh Jackman said he was done with the character after playing him for 17 years, then he saw Deadpool a few days later, and immediately regretted saying that, because the Deadpool movies are *exactly* the kind of movie he wanted to make as Wolverine. That's how we get to Deadpool & Wolverine :)
Genuinely, watching Cassie crack up at the 'Green Lantern' script joke is one of the funniest things I have seen on this channel. I love that Cassie now knows that reference. One of us, one of us, one of us!
I personally only enjoy reactions with more than 1 person, so I only end up watching when both of them are on. I find it's better with at least 2 as they will each have opinions and play off each other
You guys need to watch “Blade”. It’s Wesley Snipes most iconic role. The third installment may of not been the greatest, but it did lead to Ryan Reynolds become Deadpool.
If you remember in X-Men Origins : Wolverine, Ryan's character, that was meant to be Deadpool but every single fan hated due to what they did to the character, had a scene when they exited the elevator and he deflected the bullets from a room full of bad guys with his swords. That's why Deadpool does the same thing in the trailer against Cable, except he only deflects the first one and its then full of bullet holes.
In case no one has said it yet: The legs ( Wade's baby legs) crossing is a homage to Basic Instinct where Sharon Stone uncrosses then crosses her legs flashing herself. Also they play the same music score in the scene
For Cable's powers. He was infected with a techno-organic virus (basically nanotech designed to attach and attack organic material) as a baby and was sent to the future by his parents hoping that there was a cure. Cable wasn't able to get cured (obviously), but his telekinetic and telepathic powers manifested which helped him keep it at bay. He has the capabilities to be one of the most powerful mutants period. He's also the son of Scott Summers (cyclops) and a clone of Jean Grey.
Mr. Sinister created a clone (Jean Grey's) which he named Madelyne Pryor who's the mother of Nathan Dayspring Summers aka Cable. One of Cable's first moves (traveling to the past) was training the next generation of students The New Mutants into a strike force that could hold their own against most called X - Force.
And Cable isn't married with a child, he's actually dating Domino. And he's the one who started X-Force. And Deadpool doesn't room with Blind Al, she's his prisoner. As long as we're quoting things from the comics that aren't necessarily true here.
There's an extra end credits scene where Deapool travels back in time to 1889 to a maternity ward in a hospital in Austria where he finds a certain historical figure as a baby.
I read that Brad Pitt agreed to play the "Vanisher" for a cup of coffee. Apparently, he and Ryan Reynolds were chatting, and the role came up. Ryan bought Brad a cup of coffee to make the cameo.

Cable is an amazing character who had a recurring role in X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997), making his debut in Season 1, Episode 7, "Slave Island." At this point, there were no hints of him being from the future, the story portrayed as a mercenary who helped Gambit escape and later went on to rescue other mutants like Jubilee and Storm. Interestingly, this was before he was depicted with his iconic metal arm, Cable was only introduced two years prior as well in the comics. Cable would return in the two-part Time Fugitives episode from Season 2. Here, we get a glimpse of the year 3999 A.D., a post-apocalyptic future where Cable is a Kyle Reese-like rebel, fighting against Terminator-inspired robots controlled by Apocalypse. This would be the debate of his metal arm in the show. His final appearance was in the four-episode story arc in Season 4, Beyond Good & Evil, a massive storyline once again involving Apocalypse. I don't want to reveal his backstory or family history to avoid spoilers, especially for anyone who hasn't seen X-Men '97 or future Marvel projects that may explore Cable’s origins. While comic fans might already know these details, I believe that it's always best to keep things spoiler-free for newer audiences. Cables got such a rich history that it would be a shame to spoil it under a comment.
And more importantly Cable is the shining creation of the creator of Deadpool himself; Mr. Rob Liefeld. Also the creator of Domino of course, the queen in all of comic books for the coolest looking albino.
If you look into the theme song for this opne, you'll learn that Selene Dion was in the middle of a depression and thinking about quiting her carreer, when Ryan Reynolds wrote her aletter asking her to do the theme song, stating that her music was more important to the world than she realized. So, she was facing an existential crisis, and decided to give her incredible voice to yet another mediocre song for Hollywood. Well, that's just groovy. Oh, and it's Celine, not Selene.

I like it when Cassie is trying to explain to Carly the alternate universes @18:45 and Carly looks like she's thinking to herself, "You never go full geek, you went full geek!"
Yeah the reason for the multiverse is that each character had several writers who wrote in episodic continuities and then people misuse them as a bad writing device to resurrect characters.
lol, sigh now I have to go back into the multiverse and back in time to edit my original post to time stamp it because apparently in this universe Cassie highlighted my comment.... 😜Oh wait, I guess I can just use the edit button? 🤔
Fun fact, the 2 hillbillies chatting about toilet paper and baby wipes (before being tazed by Cable) are played by Matt Damon and Alan Tudyk (K2SO from Rogue One, Wash from Firefly, HeiHei from Joanna, etc.).
Juggernaut was in X-men 3, played by Vinnie Jones. In this, he looks more comic accurate, not just a guy in a muscle suit. In the comics, he is also the step brother of Charles Xavier and grew resentful of Charles who excelled at everything compared to him. He also isn't a mutant in the comics, instead using a mystical crystal (and later bracelets) which changed him into a hulking behemoth. He is also partners in comic book crime with Black Tom Cassidy, who's powers keep getting rewritten.
31:10 - Deadpool blocking bullets with a sword flurry isn’t “so random!” - it’s a reference to Deadpool’s first action scene in X-Men: Origins - Wolverine (and how unrealistic it was - hence a bunch of bullets getting through here. “Ow.”)
The kid's name is Julian Dennison. He was in Hunt For The Wilderpeople, the second Godzilla movie with Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things and a movie called Y2K coming out this year. He is from New Zealand.
Green Lantern is actually a hero from DC comics. Ryan Reynolds once played the character but it didn't work out so the scene at the end was a sarcastic joke for the film
Deadpool and Wolverine is an incredible movie and I can't wait for you to see it. But just like seeing the X-men and MCU movies gave you context for the jokes in the first two Deadpool movies I think there are three movies you have to watch before seeing the third: Blade (1998) Daredevil (2003) (Director's Cut) Fantastic Four (2005)
It's a classic Mormon f-bomb substitute. Ever since I started watching Cassie's reactions, I've often wondered if she (and later, Carly) grew up Mormon. She lives in Provo (UT), she says "oh my gosh", and she's been catching up on movies/shows that likely weren't seen due to a Mormon upbringing. After hearing Carly say "Oh fetch" repeatedly during this reaction, all doubt has been removed. Good on them for broadening their horizons!
Just to let you know Logan does take place in the main X-men timeline. They originally wanted Logan to be its own thing, but Hugh Jackman said that near the end of development they made it a few years after the 'happy ending' of Days of Future Past
You two did see Juggernaut before. He was in "X-Men - Last Stand", the third X-Men film in which Logan had to kill Jean in the end. They thought it would be funny for Vinnie Jones (the actor playing Juggernaut) to use the line "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" because it had been an internet meme at the time
Juggernaut did appear in X-Men 3, yes, though the Juggernaut in this movie is more comic book-accurate, including the fact that he's Charles Xavier's step-brother.
Cable is Scott Summers' (Cyclops) Son, Nathan Summers, who got sent to the future as a baby. Never got explained in this movie, because the Fox Deal hadn't gone through yet.
@@Jutrzen There were reshoots to this movie and when the Fox Deal happened, they added of the group of X-MEN that Fox owned the rights to. Certain characters could not be used beforehand, therefore, your comment about this comment is utterly lacking in common sense in trademarks and copyrights knowledge.
I just think they missed what was, in my opinion, the absolute funniest part of the movie, which was the bachground music when the fight with Juggernaut starts. The lyrics are priceless, especially with that music.
Cable is the son of Cyclops and Jean Grey's clone Madeline pryor. He was infected with a virus that turned is body into an organic metal by apocalypse. His parents sent him into the future as a baby to get treatment. He returned as a grown man as you see him in this movie.
Ryan Reynolds is the only one that could do these movies. His comedic timing, sarcastic, off point comments put the perfect exclamation point on the character and the 4th wall breaks are sheer perfection. Also, "Deadpool" is the movie Ryan Reynolds was able to make, with budget he was given. "Deadpool 2" is the Deadpool movie he always wanted to make and "Deadpool & Wolverine" is the movie he wanted/was able to make with MCU money.
How could he be the only one when RDJ literally plays Tony Stark the exact same way... Funny, sarcastic, great timing people exist everywhere. The internet only likes to focus on celebrities that do it. Were you all watching Ryan Reynolds before DP...? What made him a household name...? Everyone needs their break to get known. The same career trajectory happened with Chris Pratt... With Channing Tatum... It's not rare. You just don't appreciate everyone else
Ryan does a good Deadpool, and (with respect to RDJ) no actor worked harder to get a superhero movie from pencil and paper to the big screen than Ryan Reynolds. RDJ is to Ironman what Hugh is to Wolverine, but as much as I love those guys Ryan is a lot more involved in the writing, the directing, the marketing, the meeting with hollywood execs and fighting for with Fox for Deadpool to be Rated R and fighting with Disney to make sure Deadpool is still Deadpool even in the MCU. I'm certain we would've had an Ironman and Wolverine with or without RDJ and Hugh. We never would've gotten Deadpool without Ryan Reynolds. There, now that we've all gotten a big Canadian facial from that little paragraph. Ryan does a good Deadpool but he's not the only one, right here on youtube is a guy who has two Deadpool Musicals that are movie quality and just terrific. Nolan North does deadpool both in the cartoons and voiced him in Deadpool's only video game so far (which came out before the movies). They all do the character justice. It's just Ryan Reynolds did all of that as well and then some.
This was so much fun. The two of you crack me up. I especially love the horror movie reactions. I have been watching your channel for a long time and for some reason never subscribed. Well, that changed tonight. Thank you for being so entertaining, that means both of you Cassie and Carly.

In the X-Men comics, Colossus was one of the best and Kitty Pryde loved him dearly. All of the X-Men combined could barely defeat Juggernaut. Colossus was out of his league by far here.
Yeah a moment of awwwww..she just asked her sister if she'd seen "Say Anything" and she smiled that secret knowing smile ' boombox'...'John Cusack' 😮😂😊😊❤ you got it Cassie.❤❤❤
This is probably the best reaction to this movie I’ve seen. This was so much fun to watch live. You guys made the movie more funnier and made me appreciate this film a bit more. Can’t wait to see the next reaction! : D
The comic book version Domino and Cable are actually teammates in the comic book X-Force. The funny thing is the comic version of Vanessa is a mutant and she masqueraded as Domino for a while.
There are so many inside jokes in this film! It cracks me up that even helping the kid is just basically mocking Logan. Domino was great! I loved her! Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of DP's gf Vanessa...so I didn't mind the "seemingly pointless" story. Some people may hate on this film...I can honestly say that it helped save my life. It's 1 of the reasons I got back into wrestling...to help train other wrestlers. Helping them...helps me. Thanks again ladies!
In the extended version, Deadpool asks Wolverine not to "hang up his claws", and that when Deadpool asked him to get back in the saddle, he should answer yes
Cable, X-Force, Shatterstar, Domino, and Deadpool were all created by Rob Liefeld of Marvel Comics in the 90’s. He was the youngest artist ever employed by Marvel, at least at that time; a brilliant young mind and good artist who couldn’t draw elbows, or knees.
@@NarwahlGaming the kid (now a man) was quite talented. He got better and went on to Image comics with a lot of the other Marvel artists, at the time. There’s no question that he left a very important mark on the comic industry. I don’t know what he’s doing, these days, but I always liked him.
Hey ladies. Fun comic book fact, Cable's real name is Nathan Summer. He is the future son of Scott Summer and Jean Grey. Also Cable turned the mutant team The New Mutants into a new military style mutant team X-Force and he was their leader, he's the original team leader of X-Force.
The New Mutants gets a bad wrap because it isn't about the Xmen, but it's pretty good as a stand-alone. Other great super hero comedies worth checking out is Mystery Men, Kickass 1&2, and Hancock.
You ladies are so much fun with reaction videos, especially the Marvel/Sony superhero movies. The sad music playing during Deadpools "death" scene was the same music playing during Logan's death scene.
Juggernaut is basically "the unstoppable force", once he starts moving he can't be stopped unless he wants to. He was played by Vinnie Jones in the third X-men movie where he chased Kitty Pryde through a bunch of walls as she was trying to protect the mutant that could suppress other mutants powers, he then tried to run through a wall when his powers were suppressed and got knocked out. He's Professor Xaviers half-brother.
There were 2 X-Men related live action series that are both currently available to watch on HULU. 'The Gifted' centers around a family whose lives are turned upside down when the twin teenagers are discovered to be mutants. The show lasted for 2 seasons. 'Legion' is a more mature & trippy series centered around David Haller who has dealt with mental illness all his life, and it's discovered that things with David aren't exactly as it seems. The show lasted 3 seasons.
the song at the beginning when Deadpool is killing all the mob guys is Country singer legend Dolly Parton, who started her career in the early 1970s and is still alive and well and still performing to this day...
For the uninitiated: Cable (Nathan Christopher Charles Summers) is the child of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Madelyne Pryor (a Clone of Jean Grey). As an infant, Cable was infected by a Villian known as Mr. Sinister with techno-organic virus meant to kill him. His parents sent him to a future where he could be treated. He is a supremely powerful telekinetic and time traveling warrior, though DP2 doesn't really explore his telekinetic powers.
Of course, the silver lining on the dark cloud that was “Green Lantern” is that Ryan Reynolds met his wife making that movie. So he can’t exactly say it was completely bad for him. Just for the fans and the critics.
When Logan came out, Hugh Jackman said he was done with the character after playing him for 17 years, then he saw Deadpool a few days later, and immediately regretted saying that, because the Deadpool movies are *exactly* the kind of movie he wanted to make as Wolverine.
As a major metal head, I can honestly say without shame that the opening song from Celine Dion is absolute 🔥🔥
“I’m just gunna use this brick”🤣
Just to let you know Logan does take place in the main X-men timeline. They originally wanted Logan to be its own thing, but Hugh Jackman said that near the end of development they made it a few years after the 'happy ending' of Days of Future Past
You two did see Juggernaut before. He was in "X-Men - Last Stand", the third X-Men film in which Logan had to kill Jean in the end. They thought it would be funny for Vinnie Jones (the actor playing Juggernaut) to use the line "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" because it had been an internet meme at the time
They haven’t explained it in the movies, but Cable is Scott and Jean’s son from the future. It’s why his eye glows. 💛💛
Not technically Jean - Jean's clone Madelyn Pryor The Goblin Queen
The eye glows because of the T-O virus.
Ahh I just sent this too. Should have checked the Comment Section..
@@LordVolkovHmmm didnt know that. .🤔😎
Ooooh WOW I did not know that. 😲
39:53 Lol.... Carly's F-Bomb (Fetch)
Juggernaut did appear in X-Men 3, yes, though the Juggernaut in this movie is more comic book-accurate, including the fact that he's Charles Xavier's step-brother.
Little bit of information for you... Cable is Scott (Cyclops) and Jean's ( Phoenix/ Dark Phoenix) son from the future.
Vinnie Jones played the Juggernaut in 2006 X-Men: The Last Stand.
Cable is Scott Summers' (Cyclops) Son, Nathan Summers, who got sent to the future as a baby. Never got explained in this movie, because the Fox Deal hadn't gone through yet.
Cyclops and a clone of Jean Grey
@@Mortigantoj Let's continue this useless fact train... A Clone that was created by Mr. Sinister. 🤣
@@Mortigantoj And also technically known as Nathaniel Grey, The X-Man (Another version of Cable), in an Alternate Timeline.
Your comment is stupid, since the deal had nothing to do with it.
I think you will both enjoy Deadpool and Wolverine
The Deadpool and Wolverine story was so forced to me. Or is it always like that in the comics?
Jim Carry?
This was so much fun. The two of you crack me up. I especially love the horror movie reactions. I have been watching your channel for a long time and for some reason never subscribed. Well, that changed tonight. Thank you for being so entertaining, that means both of you Cassie and Carly.
Fun Fact: Josh Brolin was also in The Goonies, that's why DP called him One Eyed WIlly, Josh played the older brother Brand
Nothing fun about that.
It is so awesome to see Cassie. Go through this transformation from 2 to 3 years ago. Now it's Carly that I can barely hang.😂
"Why didn't he eat his Pop-Tart?" That made my day little momma, thank you. Tell your production team that it's better if you two don't pre watch the films; but if you do prewatch, act like you didn't better.
Infinite love & gratitude from Colorado!
In the X-Men comics, Colossus was one of the best and Kitty Pryde loved him dearly. All of the X-Men combined could barely defeat Juggernaut. Colossus was out of his league by far here.
Yeah a moment of awwwww..she just asked her sister if she'd seen "Say Anything" and she smiled that secret knowing smile
' boombox'...'John Cusack' 😮😂😊😊❤ you got it Cassie.❤❤❤
"Knight and Day" starring Tom Crusie, it's like they wrote that movie with you two in mind
That's exactly the sort of movie they should mix in after watching something tougher for them.
And Collateral
31:09 Deadpool calling Cable "One-Eyed Willy" is a reference to "The Goonies" a film that Josh Brolin was in.
And then xmen origins deadpool sword scene happens😂 again
Apparently Josh Brolin's first scene, was the baby legs gag. He hadn't even met the the rest of the cast beforehand.
This is probably the best reaction to this movie I’ve seen. This was so much fun to watch live. You guys made the movie more funnier and made me appreciate this film a bit more. Can’t wait to see the next reaction! : D
Nobody quips and breaks the fourth wall like Deadpool.
The comic book version Domino and Cable are actually teammates in the comic book X-Force. The funny thing is the comic version of Vanessa is a mutant and she masqueraded as Domino for a while.
Deadpool and Wolverine will be the perfect way to cap off their Xmen journey, so good.
These two don't believe in extended/directors cuts. The shorter the better for them.
There's an extended version??
@@Drax514 It's known as the Super Duper cut, it's comprised of alternate jokes/scenes and extended scenes
@Drax514 yes, it's around 15-20 minutes longer.
47:29 It's funny that Deadpool went back in time just to save Peter (and not the whole team).. 😅
Cass, I hate to tell you this, but these movies are all in the same X-Men timeline. Meaning that Logan IS THE LOGAN from X-Men 1 and so on.
Excellent reaction. I also love at the beginning as Carly is still grossed out and Cassie is just laughing!
BTW. Shatterstar is from Mojo universe.
Also absolutely loved drawing unecessary pockets on everyone
He had trouble with feet, too, if I remember. 😂
He's an inspiration - showing you don't have to be perfect to make it.
@@NarwahlGaming the kid (now a man) was quite talented. He got better and went on to Image comics with a lot of the other Marvel artists, at the time. There’s no question that he left a very important mark on the comic industry. I don’t know what he’s doing, these days, but I always liked him.
"Give me your best shot, One-eyed Willy."
Josh Brolin was in The Goonies.
Cable was born in 2004, he is basically a gen-Z
Nathan Summers was born in 1986. _(Uncanny X-Men 201)_
Mystery Men was way ahead of its time and was too weird when it came out. I loved it from day one. It is a superhero staple comedic for me.
Love the instant excuse when Carly is squeamish, "HE'S GONE INTERNATIONAL CARLY!" 😂😂😂
"gimme your best shot one eye'd willy"
amazing reference, josh brolin was in the goonies lmao
Cassie cackling and wheezing throughout this was fantastic to watch. This instantly became one of my favourites on this channel!
Carly, blink twice if Cassie is holding you hostage! 🤣
You ladies are so much fun with reaction videos, especially the Marvel/Sony superhero movies. The sad music playing during Deadpools "death" scene was the same music playing during Logan's death scene.
"Remember the little hand?"
"I'll never forget the little hand."
It was wonderful to see Cassie laugh that much.
"One Eyed Willy" Josh Brolin(Cable) was the older brother in The Goonies.. where One Eyed Willy was a main focal point.
In case you didn't make the obvious connection, Josh Brolin's dad, actor James Brolin, is married to Barbra Streisand. Hence the Streisand film clips.
The music in this movie its amazing, the acoustic version of " take on me" its beautiful
the song at the beginning when Deadpool is killing all the mob guys is Country singer legend Dolly Parton, who started her career in the early 1970s and is still alive and well and still performing to this day...
The guy who played Russell was also Belsnickle (the angry rogue elf) in The Christmas Chronicles 2 with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.
I love the bit with Yukio in the end credits that you did not show
Bye Yukio. :)
I wonder if cassie and carly ever saw flash dance?
I was one of the few people who liked Green Lantern.
I liked it, and thought it was good, but even if i didn't like it... I love Ryan Reynolds in everything lol
@@keithneale6223 It wasn't the WORST movie i've ever seen but it definitely wasn't a blockbuster.
