Come On admit it that everyone loves Mark Dire Straits - 🌎 Globally

Dire Straits always has their unique sound of music.
I grew up listening to Dire Straits I’ll die listening to Dire Straits🤍😮💨
First band I ever really got into as a little kid, before Kindergarten age. First musicians that made me think of music as something that I knew I HAD TO DO one day, not just something 'cool' or something interesting or 'nice' to listen to.
Least I can say I enjoy every word
Amen 🙏

Dire Straits was big in Australia. Booked to play 4 concerts in Sydney and Melbourne. Sold out within hours so added more concerts. They did 11 concerts before Sydney people would let them leave to go south to Melbourne where they , not to be outdone , performed 12 concerts. The energy was electric. I’m now 70, and still remember those days.
I saw them at the King George V oval in Hobart. The place was absolutely full. One could scare my move. It was that packed. An incredible evening !
It would be nice to see Mark and the boys back together again for one more concert
they actually performed 21 in Sydney
I’m also 70 and was at one of the Sydney concerts. Just the best! The energy, the vibe, the musicianship, and that quiet shy smile of Mark’s? I was smitten then and still a fan!
Much more meaningful now that I’m 69. Wow. Where did the years go?
He was the master of the strat, telecaster and the Les Paul
And never laid a pick on the strings. Magic fingers on that right hand.
@@tenaciousb7868 While being left handed.... extremely impressive! Truly the best guitarist of all time in terms of raw skill :)
He IS
After 40+ years.. still helping millions everyday with 'the walk of life' - bravo Mark & dire straits for this epic anthem forever 🎸👏
Walk of life
Привет с Сибири!)
Great…just great…nothing else need be said. A R & R anthem for sure. Timeless.
One of my dad's favorite songs, RIP Dad, You'll always be missed🥲🙏❤
Sorry for your loss
@@remondijk, I appreciate that.
your dad was a legend for showing you good music.
@MrHyde.. but you always didn't like their songs, right? Just your dad who liked them. Heartfelt story though.
Sorry for your loss, same with my dad he loved this song so much. He was there in fact lol. Just lost him last month❤️❤️
I’m only 28, but this has to be one of the coolest tunes of all time

Yup! I am 80, and ths is still one of the very best! Rock on,!
I agree 🤩🥰
One of the best straight-up Rock and Roll songs ever written, in a terrific live performance by my favorite group, led by Mark with his iconic red Telecaster. It's a great song to listen to, and always a crowd pleaser! Thank you all for this great musical treasure.
This is probably one of the most lively performances Dire Straits have ever done, together with Walk Of Life from Sydney '86. On The Night's version is great but you can't deny the huge amount of energy they had when they performed Walk Of Life in the 80's.
It was a huge hit. That brought joy with the awesome synth riff blended with a heavy rock guitar... great base and spot on drum beat. What a band and tour this was. Alchemy is mb the best live album ever.
The ALBUM is a bench mark.
Without doubt Mark Knopfler is a brilliant guitarist
I get a cramp watching how he holds his hand, all folded under like that my son plays guitar and he’s just like that’s gotta be hard as heck specially, for a long concert
The right or left hand?
Typical style for a claw hammer picker@@Badmom1956
Ahhh, the good old days.
Yes...
80's Still the best.
Those were the best.
Long Live the 80's Music.
Ah, you must be a youngin' - LOL. The 60's was a turning point. 1967 was a peak in music, then came the early 70's with Floyd, ELO, Moody Blues, et el. Others followed and did amazing things like Dire Straights. More is to come. Remember this my friend, there were such greats as Mozart, Beethoven, The Duke, Satchmo, Parker, Bessie, that shaped where we are now.
Well. No. 1950's and '60s.
I love seeing and hearing these older live recordings! The Live 1978-1992 albums have been on repeat for me since their release! Thanks so much for these wonderful recordings!
Edit: typo.
Great times!! ♥️🎸🥁🎤
Me too
So have I. What’s your favorite live version on the album?
@kentkarlstrom8993 It's hard to pick just one, but I've been loving the On The Night version of Brothers in Arms.
@@ericetodd for sure. I jump back and forth between On The Night Money for Nothing or Alchemy Solid Rock
Omg i LOVE this song! I love all the musicians energy and enjoyment of the song. Actually, the more i listen to Mark and Dire Straits, the more I realize I don't have enough words to describe how BRILLIANT they are!! ❤❤
My dear deceased brother loved U guys. Whenever I listen to U I recall him. Such a pleasure and a blessing to feel this although some tears still drop, but not of sorrow, but of the joy to recall all the good moments we shared ❤. Tks always guys for your music 🤘🎵
How great Jack Sonni was on that tour, giving it his all, and playing barefoot on some occasions, he loved the guitar. Mark and Jack, like Mark and Phil Palmer in OES, the best of the best
Yes, it was reallyfun watching him playing. RIP John Thomas.
❤ son verdad muy grandes
This song got me to Dire Straits. So nostalgic of a song!
классные ребята, могу их слушать бесконечно... браво МАРК
Knopfler has EXCELLENT rhythm playing 😮💨
Jack Sonni (RIP) on rhythm guitar is great too
Super Show. Das waren noch Zeiten. 🎉😊
Yes they were.
I luv the keyboards in this song!
Wonderful keyboard players
Here I am enjoying Dire Stairs once more.
Without a doubt this is the best group of Dire Straits band members ever, the Brothers in Arms Tour group, Mark, Jack Sonni, (RIP) John Illsley, Guy Fletcher, Alan Clark, Chris White, & Terry Williams. And you gotta love Jack Sonni's blue suede boots!
Perhaps the best Liveband of all times...
Divno!! Hvala na obaveštenju.❤
Awesome video of an awesome live performance. Sure do miss those days. Rock on guys.
It doesn't matter how many times you see Dire Straits perform this song, it's amazing! I never get tired of it. The guys always bring their very best and make it a fantastic hit! They seem to have a great rapport, which filters down from the top...Mark. Super talented singer and songwriter. Brilliant guitarist. Legend...❤❤❤
Coś pięknego, dziękuję za ten utwór☺️👍
This is the song of my Glory Days.
Alright, this is where Wembley does the walk. Now I know they don’t let you stand up in this place, but if you all do there’s nothing they can do about it!
Greating from Croatia Split
I think they like it, reallly.
@@TomMarvan 😂
This quote should he engraved in the wall of the Wembley Arena.
@@domenicov_versus3789 agreed
How good is Mark! I literally listen to this song over and over. Different concerts but always the same brilliant performance! Damn they're good. (I used to think i could play the piano, but nuh... can't put myself in a league anywhere near them!) I so enjoy listening to Mark sing...feeling his enjoyment. He really is the epitome of what music is all about. Even younger generations think he's awesome. Mark Knophler...the Best. ❤❤
Wonderful ❤...Gotta grab 'n squeeze Mark&DS ...wow!!!!🎸🕺💃🎶❤️
This reminds me of much better days.
Band was on fire !
hope we get a brothers in arms live boxset on cd dvd covering a few of the shows from this tour
I’d settle for just this full show! But yeah, would be great to have a BIA live DVD. I believe no multi-tracks are available from the tour though, so I don’t think it will happen. These official cleaned up videos are great though 😃
If I recall correctly, this show was broadcast on HBO in the states so just releasing that on a Deluxe Brothers set would be amazing.
The best live version I have heard of this song.
Love it perfect cycling rhythm! It’s an honor to my brother Tony❤ My Hero!
He was a great drummer!
Picked up "Brothers in Arms" when it was first released. Didn't know what it was, but was absolutely blown away(to put it mildly).
This is one of those songs where you can just party like never before. One of my favorite songs
Dance as if nobody can see you. Always.
One of the first songs I remember hearing when I was young along with the music video. Great tune.
Great song!
From a legendary album!
To the one and only, Larry Bird, basketball legend.
Knopfler is just so amazingly talented effortless grace and precision
What a performer!! Mark totally takes my breath away... love him!!
The song that introduced me to this band in the 80's. 👍
These guys have brought so much enjoyment to the world...... And continue to do so
One of the best base lines ever
I love this band. Mark is genius and Jack Sonni and John Illsey really bring a special kind of energy.❤
Os caras canta toca e dança ao mesmo tempo. Talento admirável
Might be one the best songs ever made
Always an excellent performance, never tire of same songs. Real professionals, 👍 great and I salute you all!😊
27 DE ENERO!! BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA 🎉🎉🎉
I Beatles stanno al mondo come i Roling Stones stanno al Regno Unito come Mark Knopfler sta a Londra. Ringrazio Iddio di aver vissuto tanto da godere di tutto questa immortale musica
There is just this pitch/sound, that is strictly Dire Straits. It's not just marks guitar, even the synth has the same sound. Instantly recognizable.
Whitley Bays finest. We need to name a boozer after the Fella.
Love this, but need tunnel of love from Live at Wembley next please! 16mins of pure heaven!
One of the best songs ever performed, this one is my favourite!
Mark is one of the best guitarist ever!
I love Dire Straits ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As the song goes the boy can play
My date and I were in line to get our college senior dance picture taken and this song came on and we headed straight for the dance floor.
Panowie jesteście wspaniali Polska
Mark knopfler is a beast.
Es gibt Top Jazz Schlagzeuger, die bei "Walk of Life" gnadenlos scheitern würden. GO TERRY!
Thank you Big Guy!!!❤
Back in the 80's as a teenager in Brazil, the first vynil albums I bought were Iron Maiden and Dire Straits😂👍
I Really love this song !! 💕🎸🎤
Best tune from my younger ages... That's the spirit ! More of this kind of songs.
Dancei demais 💃🏻💃🏻. Fez parte de minha adolescência. Amooooo 😍💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Ah gençliğim.Oh my youth.
Love this band. Adore Mark, John and Jack Sonni.
Beautiful Song 😊👍🥰😊
Amo está música...saudades
I was shocked when I learned they were from London. I grew up thinking they were a southern rock band.
They were formed in London but none of the band members were Londoners.
@markydh83 where are they from? Not the USA, right?
@@AdamBiggers81 From the original lineup, Mark and David Knopfler are from Blyth (near Newcastle upon Tyne), whilst John Illsley and Pick Withers are from Leicester. Later arrival Alan Clark is from County Durham. Hal Lindes (who replaced David Knopfler) is from Monterey, California. Terry Williams (who replaced Pick Withers) is from Swansea. Guy Fletcher (added to the band in 1984) is from Maidstone. Jack Sonni (who replaced Hal Lindes) was from Taylor, Mississippi. There were many more musicians who acted as session and/or touring artists but were never official members.
@markydh83 either way, I really thought they were from Louisiana or somewhere in the deep south. Crazy. You taught me something today 😄
Haz sentido que hay música que sientes qué te da vida. Este es el caso!!!!!!❤😊 Inmortales 🎉
