The instant I saw the micro adjustor, I was thinking that looks similar to what Jer Schmidt did. Props for giving him credit and linking to his channel.
I just wish some of the manufacturers watched these videos and got ideas they could incorporate into new saws. The fences on the cheaper saws are usually crap and let the whole saw down.
Wow! You are so many levels above where I think I could ever get! Still, inspirational and some day if I get the time and will power, I will use your videos for inspiration. Thank you! Your work is awesome!
I've binge-watched several tablesaw fence videos--this is the best design. This basic design with lots of tweaks and variations--EXCELLENT. I'm already thinking through where I can get me some surplus acme thread shaft...
Great work little over kill but not bad true is that the fence is very inportante for safety to be accurate and firm otherwise you will have kick backs and flying wood peaces to your face so great job .
Great job and nicely documented. Thanks for the video. I really love woodworking and the tools/toys that go into it, but to top that off with just an adorable kitty! I
I need to make one of these, bought a Makita table saw the other day and the fence is absolute trash, has 0.5 cm movement in the back end… Good build though so well done..
Can I ask about the truss Bearings please my friend?? Why are they so important for this fence? I watched the other guys videos too. As I saw I bought a 16mm x 1000mm Threaded Rod for my table saw fence build. I'm a little bit stumped about why those special bearing are needed though? Do they allow u to get the precision movement with the fence? I have everything else to build my fence but this is the part I don't understand. If u or anybody in the comments could explain the use of the Truss bearings I would be very grateful.. Thanks all..
Hello Jhon. I love the fence build. I bought M16 meter long Rods. I actually bought 2 of them just incase I mess up one. LOL I'm about to start building my own table saw. I will begin this month early...ish. I need to get some drawing down on paper 1st before beginning bcos I want to have something to fall back on if I need it. U get my meaning bro. U made a great job of the fence. I saw that guys other video u spoke about. Can I ask why u used a rod with 20mm incremants?? I thought he used 1/16th himself but I'm probably wrong. I have bought the nuts as well for M16.. I'm going to build the whole frome from Steel. I want to build the tilt mechanism into my saw as well. I have an old crappy table saw from TITAN. It's pure garbage but the motor/arbor is really decent. It's nearly 2HP so that's enough for me atm. I weill upgrade the motor to be a belt driven saw in the future but cost is a bigger thing atm and I want to recycle as much of the old saw as I can. I'm also going to build in a sliding table but it will not be too heavy either. I watch a guy do his jsut there and he had so much weight built into it that he couldn't get rid of the play from it. The great thing about TH-cam is guys like u and Jer Schmidt and many more who make awesome videos that teach ppl like me how to do this dso thanks very much for this and explaining it so brilliantly.. Salute from Dublin, IRE.
@@Steve-dr7rr you can pay professional welder to do this joint sir, but on my point of view every body can be a welder even though not a professional welder, for making a simple welding joint like this, That if you want to purchase a cheap welding machine
Awesome! I'm going to get started on this right away. As soon as I get a circuit installed that can handle a welder and a welder. And then learn how to weld. 😩
Ya, Jeremy's fence design is amazing! I've wanted to build one ever since I saw his original video. Nice job on replicating this for your own. Your video on the sliding table is fantastic! I will re-watch it and take notes. The custom built sliders are very impressive! Your table saw is really coming together!
Another nice copied project. Do you actually make anything yourself? Or is everything copied and then claimed by you as your own? Just blatant copying stuff without giving credit.. This is a John Heisz design...

Good job, good fance system, I like your video.

Estuve viendo el vídeo y me gustó, acabé y le hice el amor a mi mujer, fue muy bonito, gracias
I made a similar one before. Use stainless threaded rod and nuts, galvanized wear out and don't lock correctly after a while.
Welldone
Makasih mas did
Use 2 half nuts with a spring and another cam locking the micro adjuster to eliminate backlash.
Jeremy Schmidt made this design ages ago and needs to be recognized as the creator of this idea.
He does
Absolutly
He said that in the opening of the video already.
Duly noted.

1:31 what kind of metal are the two strip plates ? also iron?
That just regular strip plate iron with 3 or 2mm thick will do fine, because it only going to be adjuster spacer for the fence
