thank you for this, every damn video i see, they act like you just jump on this bish and after 20 mins sort it out and your good to go, which is not at all how 99% of folks who get these experience it, this is how it will be for me too :)
Thank you... You gave me HOPE. :) .. I have had two days and have not progressed as fast as you. Thank you... There are muscles I didn't even know I had. Tried day three.. but had to stop as I needed to rest my legs LOL .. great workout ... Thanks again..
Ah These moments I truly appreciate, because all of this Makes you appreciate every moment you get better .. only thing is you can NOT forget all of this because when you do, you think you can do more as in going really fast and or doing things you’re not ready for and that’s when the problems happen. So appreciate and never forget the process and you’ll get better with more practice and time… I think no matter how great Anyone gets, 6 Months to a Year is when you really learn how to really ride and understand these Wheels. Great Luck to you ride safe and enjoy every moment you get better brother !
it's not only learning, it's also developing the new muscles. working on my manuals on bicycles and i went to move my leg sideways just now and my muscle there is absolutely dead. i assume it'll be like this for at least 2 months until my body gets used to the skill and adds muscle where needed. EUCs probably have a similar curve ontop of the skill gain due to all the weird small muscles that are probably not used(or at least not used to the same extent) for daily walking. Another big one is sleep, you learn a lot while you dream. Just look at this guys day 2 vs day 1, night and day. fresh muscles are a bonus but dreaming is hugely underrated for skill gain.
ohhhh dude this is how i fell first time i got on it except my landing leg twisted (still am recovering from it after a month and a half). Glad you have videos made of your journey. You are doing well on it btw. Im glad you started using a full face helmet too, and then you started relaxing near the end! Happy riding!
This was very informative. Thank you. I'm still waiting for my EUC to arrive in the mail so I've been looking at videos of how to ride. This one was the best at showing progression and what to watch out for. I love how the better you got the less you needed air bending to stay on the EUC. That part where you were waving your arms as if you were dancing to not fall cracked me up.
Great fighting my man! :D I learned literally by going full ham on tall grass, under 2 hours then I could go 5 meters money straight... 1 hour more training mount demount and one leg control, then i went for 15 km on bikepath and that was so easy.
Ha. I learned late in life. My Swagroller actually came with vary solid training wheels. I rode about a month or till i wore one wheel out and riding with just one helpped free me. 4 months later i needed more speed so i got the v8f i ride it in the snow. Even carry a load of groceries home on it, i like the wheel.
I practiced on an empty tennis court, with mesh perimeter fence to hold onto. I made my own training wheels, fitted to the foot pads... then months later discovered I could have bought them!
I took your method man ! For My maiden voyage today I put on 2 miles cruising in big laps in the dormant grass. I got up and rode right out of the gate. Never had any real issues. Previously, the last 2 nights I practiced in my kitchen hallway a bit. I took off outside today. Thanks for your video and motivation. I think learning in the grass is a bit more challenging but it's much safer if you crash. Try it out you guys ! I've ridden peddle Unicycles since I was 12. I'm 60 now..
That's great! I think riding in grass is one of the best ways to learn. Like you said, it's safer and it's also better off for your wheel's appearance if you're still falling over a lot. But the best thing about riding on grass is learning how to deal with inconsistent terrain. You learn the little tricks you need to keep you safe when dealing with the unexpected. I don't think anything made me improve more than riding on very bumpy grass, over tree trunks, through covered dips, etc. The ability to quickly react to the unexpected should not be underestimated in the world of eWheels.
Good progress for one day. Have you noticed how new riders use mostly their upper body for balance, and as you get more experienced, you use your hips and when you get really good, it's mostly the feet? I found that really interesting when I noticed it. These days I can close my eyes while riding as long as I know know there's nothing in my way.
That Fall 2:01 is the perfect example of why wrist guards are so important when riding these, see how it glides to the pavement? imagine if he wasn't wearing one ouch!
You're absolutely right. They definitely saved me some skin right there. The knee pads did their job as well, protecting me against that hard impact. ATGATT!
Just got done with my fourth day of riding as a newb with the KS-16x. I can ride around fairly easily. Mounting and dismounting still not natural and I have to concentrate when I do it. Riding forward is pretty easy now. I tried to ride backwards today against a fence, and my-oh-my was it difficult! Whenever I'm struggling (all the time) I get a recurring thought that says, "Wow. Whoever decides to dedicate themselves beyond the newbie level is truly a special kind of person; a masochist". Imagine being the first person to learn this skill? He must of been autistic lol... because this takes serious practice and patience and time
from what i read online most people don't even attempt rearwards riding at all until many months in. did you end up figuring out reverse riding right away or did you leave it till later? i have a feeling you figured it out though.. practice is key
I have ninebot s2,maybe it's to small for me,I should of got v8, maybe later I still need to learn some more,my legs hurt I wait, wow ur doing aws now, congrats to a hard wk
No it's probably harder. I think riding on grass helps a lot when you're learning though. Since grass is uneven, it forces you to constantly rebalance yourself. So I think it's better practice and will help build muscle memory faster. Also, if you only practice on asphalt, you may not develop the skills necessary to handle unexpected bumps. Riding on grass will teach you how to react quickly to situations like this.
This guy was doing exactly what you should not be doing when you are learning to ride on EUC (I was doing the same ). The wheel must be loose between the legs, and you can balance side to side without waving your arms!
I was doing exactly what you should be doing when you are learning, and that's figuring it out however you can. I wasn't able to stay on the wheel any other way at the time. If you're able to ride this thing without gripping it between your legs on your first day, more power to you! If not, then don't hesitate to do it if it helps! Some of the most well known riders grip their wheels after years of riding. I myself do not, but it is a style that some prefer.
The movements of your arms was like you were conductor for the background music! 🎵 😀
Loved the video. Reminds me of one of those old time silent movies
Even after along time the music and video are so fun ^^ I`m laughing happily ^^
I love the conductor-like hand movements. Really goes well with the music.

Oh wow this gives me fond memories of when I was learning to ride in Mar of '19. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you, Daniel
Your video gives me faith
that I will learn to ride my EUC.
I just got my Inmotion V11. 😊
You will and you will love it, trust me! I think my v11 ships tomorrow. Can't wait!
@@benjie9061 This makes zero sense.
Same. Just rode my first 30 ft on my V11 last night. Practicing against a stone wall and black top really helps.

Enjoyed your video! Very encouraging to watch your progress. I just got my EUC so I'm just now watching these clips. Hope you are still riding today!
Thanks and yeah I'm still riding. I just rode down to the convenience store a few minutes ago on the v11.

at 3:20 I saw those spikes on the "billboard?" and then I realized why you had added that face protection!

Hey, Daniel, Its been 3 weeks since you posted this. Do you have an update?
Yes I do! Expect a new video upload in the near future :) I just finished shooting some more footage this morning.
Great! I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Is it easier on your legs to learn on grass? I spent day 1 in asphalt playground and took my body 3 days to recover from all the soreness.
No it's probably harder. I think riding on grass helps a lot when you're learning though. Since grass is uneven, it forces you to constantly rebalance yourself.
