Riding the Marietta River Trail & more on the Inmotion V11
มุมมอง 1.4K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Just having some fun riding my EUC on the Marietta River Trail in Ohio.
Trying out the Inmotion V11 Seat (EUC Seated Riding)
มุมมอง 2.4K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my first time riding an electric unicycle seated. I'm using the official seat on the Inmotion V11. I had to remove the Fly Pads I had attached so that my feet could be positioned further up the pedals. I really enjoy the seated riding experience.

Learning to ride an EUC
มุมมอง 19K4 ปีที่แล้ว
A compilation of clips taken from my first two days of owning an Electric Unicycle (EUC). Model: Inmotion V8F Update: Added subtitles around the 1:45 mark
1:59 wrist guards to the rescue
That was an astonishingly-good video, thank you.
Riders of the night 😎
Look at this conductor over here
Keystone cops music lol😅
I love the conductor-like hand movements. Really goes well with the music.
1:45 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Where is your V8F?
I'm looking for some 1st EUC buying advice. I'm debating on a non-suspension Kingsong 16x vs a V11. Which one would you recommend & any reasons why would be greatly appreciated. I thought about getting a V5/F but I think I would get bored too quickly with it and just waste $$
If it's strictly between those two, I would no doubt get the V11 but I've never rode a 16x so take from that what you will. There's not a large weight difference between the two, and with the V11 you'd be getting something newer, from a better brand (my opinion), and with suspension. I own a V8F and a V11 and while the V8F is fun and great for learning, I never ride it anymore because the V11 rides smooth as butter, it's faster, has more range, and I can comfortably sit on it. Now this comes from someone who already knows how to ride an EUC. If you a) don't know how and b) are not sure if it's something you'll stick with, then it may make sense to get something cheaper and easier to learn on. That's why I bought a V8F first before jumping to something on the higher end. And if that's the case, then my advice would be to save even more money, get a V8F (used even), figure it out and if you like it, and THEN get a v11 or something kick ass. Then you don't waste as much money if it's not for you, and if it is for you, you'll end up paying a bit more, but you'll have 2 different styles of unicycles, one that's agile, lightweight, and easy to ride, and one that's more comfortable, large, and long range.
@@danieldilly thanks for the response. I bought a mid-range electric skateboard but it stopped charging and it's out of warranty so I started looking for a new toy - I'm not commuting with any of these - just riding for fun and chasing my kids around the neighborhood on their ~19mph electric dirt bikes. I want to buy used but only have a couple options within my area - V11, V12, Begode RS, KS 16x & a T4 (that I need to keep telling myself is too much).
Thanks for sharing!
How are Inmotion V8F?
Enjoyed your video! Very encouraging to watch your progress. I just got my EUC so I'm just now watching these clips. Hope you are still riding today!
Thanks and yeah I'm still riding. I just rode down to the convenience store a few minutes ago on the v11.
Loved the video. Reminds me of one of those old time silent movies
Pads?

Ah These moments I truly appreciate, because all of this Makes you appreciate every moment you get better .. only thing is you can NOT forget all of this because when you do, you think you can do more as in going really fast and or doing things you’re not ready for and that’s when the problems happen. So appreciate and never forget the process and you’ll get better with more practice and time… I think no matter how great Anyone gets, 6 Months to a Year is when you really learn how to really ride and understand these Wheels. Great Luck to you ride safe and enjoy every moment you get better brother !
it's not only learning, it's also developing the new muscles. working on my manuals on bicycles and i went to move my leg sideways just now and my muscle there is absolutely dead. i assume it'll be like this for at least 2 months until my body gets used to the skill and adds muscle where needed. EUCs probably have a similar curve ontop of the skill gain due to all the weird small muscles that are probably not used(or at least not used to the same extent) for daily walking. Another big one is sleep, you learn a lot while you dream. Just look at this guys day 2 vs day 1, night and day. fresh muscles are a bonus but dreaming is hugely underrated for skill gain.
Bravo maestro! 😄
Damn come a long way since the "learn to ride" video.
Even after along time the music and video are so fun ^^ I`m laughing happily ^^
at 3:20 I saw those spikes on the "billboard?" and then I realized why you had added that face protection!
Hehe looking back its so funny.now we are a pro.wow what a hard1 to do but we did it
Strap (force) your hands to your side, they don't doing you any good...
Lucky you...
C'est encouragant!
I practiced on an empty tennis court, with mesh perimeter fence to hold onto. I made my own training wheels, fitted to the foot pads... then months later discovered I could have bought them!
Good progress for one day. Have you noticed how new riders use mostly their upper body for balance, and as you get more experienced, you use your hips and when you get really good, it's mostly the feet? I found that really interesting when I noticed it. These days I can close my eyes while riding as long as I know know there's nothing in my way.
what kind of helmet is it?
Bell Super DH MIPS
This guy was doing exactly what you should not be doing when you are learning to ride on EUC (I was doing the same ). The wheel must be loose between the legs, and you can balance side to side without waving your arms!
I was doing exactly what you should be doing when you are learning, and that's figuring it out however you can. I wasn't able to stay on the wheel any other way at the time. If you're able to ride this thing without gripping it between your legs on your first day, more power to you! If not, then don't hesitate to do it if it helps! Some of the most well known riders grip their wheels after years of riding. I myself do not, but it is a style that some prefer.
I took your method man ! For My maiden voyage today I put on 2 miles cruising in big laps in the dormant grass. I got up and rode right out of the gate. Never had any real issues. Previously, the last 2 nights I practiced in my kitchen hallway a bit. I took off outside today. Thanks for your video and motivation. I think learning in the grass is a bit more challenging but it's much safer if you crash. Try it out you guys ! I've ridden peddle Unicycles since I was 12. I'm 60 now..
That's great! I think riding in grass is one of the best ways to learn. Like you said, it's safer and it's also better off for your wheel's appearance if you're still falling over a lot. But the best thing about riding on grass is learning how to deal with inconsistent terrain. You learn the little tricks you need to keep you safe when dealing with the unexpected. I don't think anything made me improve more than riding on very bumpy grass, over tree trunks, through covered dips, etc. The ability to quickly react to the unexpected should not be underestimated in the world of eWheels.
Nice progression man ! Thanks for the motivation and straight to it on point style of videos
Nice job man ! If I'm half that good in a month I'll be stoked for sure. 60 years old and looking forward to the journey.
I would not recommend this activity for us older folks. In also the month in, 53, 150lb inshape guy, has had 4 big falls now and have given the sport up. Three falls were like fast walking speed, with one sprained thumb, one huge bruise and skin taken off my shin from the euc spinning up on its side and bouncing back into my leg. One 15 mph fall which was only a bruised hip. Worst was last week, practicing low speed tight turns, fell sideways and did s light shoulder fracture. Never hit my head. Wearing full pads everywhere but no shoulder protection. This is a sport you have to spend like 20mins just to get all the safety gear on. Be careful, it is a ton of fun but a broken shoulder is not worth the pain and future problems. I'm sad I have to give it up.
Wow a total transformation from your first ride dude I just got a v12 today and it's way harder then it looks awesome can not wait until I'm boosting around like this you look just as good as chooch.
Thanks man! Stick with it as the payoff is totally worth it!
Just got done with my fourth day of riding as a newb with the KS-16x. I can ride around fairly easily. Mounting and dismounting still not natural and I have to concentrate when I do it. Riding forward is pretty easy now. I tried to ride backwards today against a fence, and my-oh-my was it difficult! Whenever I'm struggling (all the time) I get a recurring thought that says, "Wow. Whoever decides to dedicate themselves beyond the newbie level is truly a special kind of person; a masochist". Imagine being the first person to learn this skill? He must of been autistic lol... because this takes serious practice and patience and time
from what i read online most people don't even attempt rearwards riding at all until many months in. did you end up figuring out reverse riding right away or did you leave it till later? i have a feeling you figured it out though.. practice is key
This was very informative. Thank you. I'm still waiting for my EUC to arrive in the mail so I've been looking at videos of how to ride. This one was the best at showing progression and what to watch out for. I love how the better you got the less you needed air bending to stay on the EUC. That part where you were waving your arms as if you were dancing to not fall cracked me up.
Had my V8f about a month now. Has been great for me to learn on and it took about 5 or 6 days to click. I may upgrade some day but I know I will keep this wheel. It's so compact and light compared to what's out there. If you are watching Daniel here and are thinking about the V8f, I say go for it.
How to accelarate and brakes
You tilt forward to accelerate and you tilt back to slow down.
Most serious v8 rider ever ! I love it
This was fun to watch! I’m picking up an EUC soon, thanks!
Is it easier on your legs to learn on grass? I spent day 1 in asphalt playground and took my body 3 days to recover from all the soreness.
No it's probably harder. I think riding on grass helps a lot when you're learning though. Since grass is uneven, it forces you to constantly rebalance yourself. So I think it's better practice and will help build muscle memory faster. Also, if you only practice on asphalt, you may not develop the skills necessary to handle unexpected bumps. Riding on grass will teach you how to react quickly to situations like this.
@@danieldilly totalmente de acuerdo. Salud
Hey dude what are those kneel guards u r wearing?
^^*
Ohh you are in Marietta,Ohio ! There is a Marietta,Georgia where my grandmother lives. I was like this is not familiar haha
The transition from watching your first video to this one is mind blowing ! Nice work !
Thanks. Maybe I can inspire others to keep at it. It's all about persistence. Did you just get yourself an EUC?
@@danieldillyyou definitely are an inspiration and yessir it came in Friday..Veteran Sherman. I know it's not recommended to get that as your first wheel but I learn quickly and am already making great progress and I've only ridden it for about 4 hours. I think all the other activities I'm involved in definitely help.
@@masterofnone11 That's awesome! Stay safe!
@@danieldilly was able to ride 10 miles on the road this evening ! It clicked !
1:10 ...wax on wax off mfer !! 🤣 ..I love it !
This video is epic !
thank you for this, every damn video i see, they act like you just jump on this bish and after 20 mins sort it out and your good to go, which is not at all how 99% of folks who get these experience it, this is how it will be for me too :)
Ya lo tienes, Sean, conseguiste domar a la bestia ?. El mío llega el viernes, deséame suerte 😬. Salud 🤙
He looks like Juan from thatswasepic's channel
I like the video, cool music, geared up properly and gliding with style!
