Yesterday We have had a special edition of the 'Beste Zangers' in the Netherlands. It's a eurovision version and Floor Jansen posted her cover version of the eurovison contest song 'Euphoria' on youtube, yesterday.

I've noticed by relistening to the older albums that a lot of what Floor adds is singing with the backing tracks and other vocal fills. All that adds so much to songs.
@@michaeldougherty2807 Sorry, I forgot this - Turunen's voice type is soprano. Over the course of her career, Turunen has developed a vocal range of three octaves. Her range is apparent on her album My Winter Storm, where the lowest note sung is F3 in the song "The Seer", while in another song, she aimed for D6. I sang a repertoire of a mezzo-soprano for many years and because of that, still today, I have rarely quite low register for a lyrical soprano. This is actually their biggest single originally sung by Annette the previous singer. There are other live performances with Floor where she singe all the lines, I think on Decades. I know she has a designer she works with for her outfits, she posted a video about how she chooses her outfits on her channel.
Yup, I noticed Tuomas standing in awe of not only the crowd, but, I believe, in awe of Floor. I put her right up there with Freddie Mercury, for charisma and stage presence. And I love Jukka's stick twirls. Such an animated drummer.

Don't forget it's Tuomas that writes the setlist. He makes sure he gets the best out of all of them by setting the pace for them, so Floor and the boys don't tire.

she changes 1 time during the song Last of the wild. ( instrumental.......... well sort of ) only Troy's Ullian pipes are singing in this one. In that song you can realy hear how good the band is. you dont get lost in Floors voice in this one, thats why.
This was the audience participation song, Floor had asked the audience to sing with them, that’s why she stopped singing a couple of times. Ghost Love Score was the next song on the setlist!!

Floor chooses her outfit style based on the album theme at the time. She has a lady in Austria that creates them. The design you mentioned that you would create is very close to the dress she wore at the Tampere 2015 concert. The heels on her shoes were unicorns. As to Tuomas head banging while playing the piano, he started playing when he was seven. I’m sure that by now his muscle memory allows him to do whatever he wants while playing. 😄🤘
As you say, Floor's stage presence is incredible. When she goes into the main part where she stokes up the crowd with the "hey hey heys", just watch Tuomas, who is standing there with his head in his hands. It's like he's thinking "what on earth have we unleashed on the audience?"

Came here from Floors 'Euphoria' cover on Beste Zangers Songfestival. Highly recomment that! It's a beautiful song (my favorute of the Eurosong festival lists over teh course of years and then SHE sings it! 8D) XENA! That was a very good observation about conserving energy in order to have enough to properly finish a show. Floor doesn't fly around the way she did in her Revamp days. The exception being "I want my Tears Back" from the Buenos Aires 2018 show, which is off the charts energy-wise.
Nightwish - My Walden (Official Live) It is from the Tampere Finland 2015 concert, outdoors. That's a happy song, still not too light, you know what I mean. I don't remember you reacting to any video from Tampere. I'm sure someone will tell you about Floors outfit in that concert, and the shoes. I think, not sure, those are the ones she wore when she fell down on stage in another concert. But she handled the situation just fine with humor. When you are a performer anything can happen. Tuomas aunt, Miitta Sorvali, is a well known actress in Finland. A month ago or so she was on the cover of a magazine with a quote from her: "Being able to laugh at yourself kills the feelings of shame." Something like that. You are looking good, like the outfit.
Floors stage clothing is based on their ideas, but has them finished by different designers. She has two with her in Wacken. The change happens during an instrumental song. Because you asked...Floor does a costume change when the band plays the instrumental "Last Of The Wilds"(song #9 of the concert). Trivia : There is a costume mishap. The zipper becomes jammed under her left arm and she is a split second late on her first vocal note of "Bless The Child"(song#10). You can see her running from backstage to the mic. The zipper being down a few inches is visible and she continues until Ghost Love Score and the interlude break where everyone leaves the stage. Back on stage and the zipper is fixed. :-)

This and Bye Bye Beautiful both are singles and have over 100 million views on TH-cam. Which is why there was some fan vocals because it was such a massive hit and Floor knew that the crowd would know the lyrics. They are both from Anette's first album with Nightwish 'Dark Passion Play'. I. My humble opinion It's their best album and it has no "bad" songs.
The Night wish journey mine started in 2004 .Floor is an incredible vocalist my thing is I came to love this band with Tarija their first vocalist was there from the beginning went 10 yrs was a big reason for their success is what drew me in and alot of the songs that people hear Floor do are Tarija songs once again I've been following Floor back from the After Forever days so appreciate Tarija and go back to the End of an Era DVD and listen to Ghost Love Score or Nemo or Bless the Child Dark Chest of Wonders I thought all 3 singers bought something great to the band oh hell for all that watch the concert from Denver Colorado when Annette became" sick" so in stead of cancelling the show they asked Elze and Alyssa White Gultz if they would go out on stage with them and they had to hours to learn the set list one of the greatest moves I've ever seen a band do for their fans watch the concert I'm 61 yr old rock and roller playing drums for yearrrrrss and I've seen a lot of bands over the years and that is what it means to really appreciate your fans and a little something extra my introduction to R&R was in 1964/65 I watched the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in black and white I was 4 yrs old and I'm still that same kid I remember being mesmerized by Ringo at the age of 9 I started lessons Good Luck in your music endeavors I've listen to a couple of your songs I love that rasspness in your voice I believe that all female rock bands or fronted bands are strong right now and I think the power struggle is over Heart, The Runaways bolt that foundation it will never crumble.thanks for listen jimbo. If you do end up doing this whole concert, be aware that some versions online have a glitch and play back 4% slower. Also pretty sure she did 1 outfit change at the midpoint (last of the wilds), this song was in the second half just before GLS.
The Blu-ray release of Showtime, Storytime had a problem where the songs were slightly slower than what they're supposed to be. The DVD version luckily has the correct speeds. Just have to be careful with some of the "very high quality" YT videos since they could be captured from the BR disc.

Great music is timeless, it's only a matter of exposure. I had never heard of Nightwish before about a year ago. And I am a old person. Now I listen every day. Tuomas sure seems happy here. He is probably thinking to himself "Man, did we make a good decision bringing on Floor". Here is Floor again with her 80,000 back up singers. I think at times the guys are amazed at the control Floor has over the audience. She surely does.
You have to remember that she was not an official member then and the band and her were still learning each other during this concert. I'd suggest watching " you need to learn the songs in 48 hours" it's an eye opener

At 8.12 the crowd is louder than the band pushing 50000 watts into a first class sound system I have worked in Live sound reinforcement and that folks is unbelievable. Okay, there was a lot of stuff going on in your reaction this time, I'll try to respond to them one by one. It'll be a wall of text for sure. I'm sure I forgot the exact order you mentioned these in, so lets just go through them randomly. You talked about this being a happier song, and that's not absolutely wrong. It's not exactly a happy song in the end though, as you noticed during the bridge. One way to get an idea about the story plus all the missing lines Floor outsourced to the crowd would be to just listen to the music video of Amaranth. Honestly I think that's one of the best ways to get a good first impression of the previous lead vocalist of Nightwish, Anette Olzon, who was replaced by Floor in late 2012 in the middle of their US tour. She performed best in studio environments, while both Tarja and Floor are best enjoyed live. As to why the crowd sang the lines -- Amaranth was a HUGE radio hit. Well maybe not in the US, haha. When I think about this song in my head I still hear Anette's voice sing it, because I heard it so, so many times on the radio. It felt like it was played 24/7 back then. Anette Olzon was the lead vocalist of Nightwish from 2007 to 2012 and they released two studio albums with her: Dark Passion Play in 2007 (including Amaranth) and Imaginaerium in 2011 (including Storytime). Dark Passion Play as an album was quite different from what Nightwish had done before that, and one could argue that the two main factors leading to this were the departure of Tarja Turunen from the band (which Tuomas in particular took as a heavy hit) and also the different vocal style of Anette who had no classical background. Just as a sidenote, in Storytime the climactic bridge where Floor goes all out came from a backing choir track with Anette, but with Floor they're either not using that or it's kept to a very low volume in the background. Considering that you might note that Storytime otherwise is much less technically demanding from the vocalist when compared to... lets say Ghost Love Score as an example. This is all still just an expression of music in its various forms, and I'll never forgive anyone who wants to shit on Anette because of this or anything else. For any vocalist, DPP has one extremely demanding song that I'm sure you'll get to eventually, no need to worry about that for now. You'll hear it once you go through the Wembley 2015 concert, that's the last time they played it and from what Tuomas has talked in interviews it seems like they will never play it again. As you get to know the band and its history more you'll eventually get to appreciate DPP in all the ways it portrayed the mental state of Tuomas at the time and the darkest days of Nightwish where they seriously considered just disbanding the group between 2005 and 2007 when they had no lead vocalist. The shortest route to get there is to keep doing exactly what you've done so far, to have a firm grasp on what kind of a band Nightwish is like with Floor Jansen as the lead vocalist and then it makes more sense to contrast that with everything that happened in the past. One important thing to note about Nightwish and how Tuomas composes his songs is that he works closely with his band members, and he clearly tailors his technical solutions around the band members he has available. None of the songs they played in this Imaginaerum world tour were composed for Floor Jansen, that would happen only in 2015 with the release of Endless Forms Most Beautiful, and from there you can once again hear how Tuomas composes different materials for different people. Of course his ambition as a composer has also -evolved- grown over time, so that has an effect as well. Then you talked about the clothes. If you want a Nightwish lead vocalist who pays a lot of attention to costumes used on stage, then Tarja Turunen might be worth getting to know. She was the first lead vocalist of the band from its founding in 1996 all the way to the End of an Era concert in Helsinki 2005. She was fired from the band shortly after that night. Tarja's clothes are always amazing, and she switched them a lot all the way through the concerts too. Floor typically uses 2 sets of clothes for every concert: The first costume includes pants, and then she switches the lower portion to a dress sometime in the middle. She also uses a lot of leather, which is a pretty unforgiving clothing choice for a singer. Tarja had more colorful and complex costumes a lot of the time. I'll just add a warning that since Nightwish has 3 distinct eras with different lead vocalists that means you have several distinct "camps" of fans. The Tarjaholics were insufferable after she left the band, and they had a second uprising when Floor jumped on board. The Floorfans respond to this by saying that Floor is the only actual singer the band has ever had, and the earlier vocalists were just crap. Time might have helped to still this fight, as a lot of those who listened to Nightwish between 1996 and 2005 are now grown ass adults who don't have the interest in random arguments like they used to, and many of them probably moved on to follow Tarja's solo career. If you end up ever making a reaction video to a Nightwish song with either Tarja or Anette singing you'll 100% draw some of this controversy in to the comments, and sometimes if people are tired or something it can get a bit ugly again. The wounds from Tarja and Anette leaving the band run deep, and it doesn't take much to bring back the negativity associated with it. If you want to just keep on doing more Wacken 2013 stuff I'd recommend Dark Chest of Wonders next. Song of Myself is my favorite out of everything they played in this concert though. The Amaranth music video would be an option to "spice up" the Nightwish experience, though you've only just started so it might not be relevant for now. The only reason I'm mentioning it is because some of the things you talked about in the reaction. As has been said, one change of stage clothing, form pants to a skirt. And an unintentional quick fix for a wardrobe malfunction where her (IIRC) top left zipper came unfastened up her armpit. As I've heard in an interview, Floor designs her stage costumes in collaboration with two stage clothing agencies, which also provide the final product. And let's talk about the singing, Floor's ability to add that little bit of vocal fry here and there emphasizes the flow of this song. I like Anette's studio version of the song (that was a big radio play hit in Finland at the time), but this is very different and... Here I end my comment, respecting the no-comparison of lead singers policy.

You might get a better perception of the song if you saw the video with Anette which portrays the song's interpretation by Tuomas of the art work "The Wounded Angel" by Hugo Simberg. The painting was voted the most loved painting of the Ateneum Art Museum in Helsinki in 2006. The song came out on the Dark Passion Play album originally (2007). When you see the video, you understand the musical shifts better.

You should listen to her singing a christmas song at the Heavy Christmass show (its a Finish metal show where people from the metal scene ( bands ) come together and perform metal versions of christmas songs.) within 10 seconds of the video you can spot why Floor can't perform at her best. I love seeing your reactions, as you really get it, and have the musical background to grasp all the important features. Floor had one costume change in this set, during the 9th, instrumental, "Last Of The Wilds" and it didn't quite go as planned - the side zip-fastener of her top jammed and wouldn't close properly. She just barely makes it to the mic at a sprint for her vocal cue after the intro for "Bless This Child" and the zipper wasn't fixed until the intermezzo of Ghost Love Score (which is right after this), so if you look carefully in "Bless This Child", Romanticide", this song and the first section of "Ghost Love Score" you can see under her left arm that it is not closed all the way. (at 02:54 in your [this] video) you can see it. You almost described Floor's costume for Tampere 2015 when saying what you'd design, although it also had a motif around it, connected with the theme of the "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" album. :-) Musically Amaranth seems mostly happy and is (by Nighwith standards) relatively simple, but the lyrics are pretty mysterious, at least to me. It has a music video (which is great, although I've never understood how it connects with the lyrics!) for the studio version with Anette Olzon, who was the singer when it was recorded (although I understand she was not selected until after the "Dark Passion Play" album was written), but Floor has only ever performed it live - they've never re-recorded older songs after changing their line-up, so the studio version of every song in this show is with either Anette or Tarja. Floor has performed songs from every album Nightwish have ever made though, notably during the "Decades" world tour, 2018. My 4 kids were born in the late 90s to mid-00s, and all of them are into rock, but then that is what was played most as they grew up! They have different tastes though, ranging from classic rock (Iron Butterfly, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, Yes, Journey, Styx, etc), classic metal (Led Zepellin, Black Sabbath), Grunge rock (don't really follow that genre much, myself) and Death metal (I don't have a clue) through to Sabaton, symphonic like Nightwish or Ajen Anthony Lucassen's various projects, particularly Ayreon. So they just got a direction from me, it's not a copycat thing. Also some of the young up and coming stuff, like Motion Device, Iron Cross, and others. Lots of collaborations these days, as tech has made it so much easier, so a number of individual artists collaborating in various combinations, which make it abundantly clear that current physical distancing laws and regulations are certainly NOT the "social" distancing they are commonly known as - I've certainly socialised more in the last year than any other in my life! Just not face-to-face (maybe I have a great face for radio). There are some very "feel-good" Nightwish tracks. They also have some which move towards Folk-rock, like "My Walden" or Elvenjig/Elvenpath". "I Want My Tears Back" is also a pretty fun one, particularly as performed in Buenos Aires 2018, when they have a real party onstage and the whole venue joins in - or maybe the other way round! As someone already mentioned, this song was on the album that came out when Anette (2nd singer) was in the band. Then again, most of the songs you've listened to on the channel so far have mostly been songs written for previous singers. During Anette's period in NW, its my opinion they got more pop-y. Nothing wrong with pop, but then again, metal or go home ;-)
I recommend you to react to Nightwish performing The Islander. The lead singer for that song is Marko and their live performance from Tampere will blow your mind once again, believe me that :D Also their cover on High Hopes (originally by Pink Floyd) performed during End Of An Era is out of this world and Marko sings that one too :)
Floor usually works with an Italian? designer to develop the concept for her outfits. She also has a favorite tattoo artist, but I don't remember what country she is from. I'm sure someone on the board has all the details.
This is the first Nightwish song I can remember hearing back when Anette was still around. Its one of the few songs that I think Anette sings better. Not that I'm knocking Floor at all, she crushes this song but I prefer Anettes version

This performance is, of course, magnificent. However, Tuomas writes music for each singer's special talents and, while Floor is a special singer and can do justice to anything, each Nightwish singer has particular songs that stand out for them. This is one that I think is performed best by its original singer, Annette Olzen. It would be worth checking out the music video and you could do it as a reaction because it's a different singer. WARNING: don't fall into the trap of comparing the singers. You will start a war. They're all good or they wouldn't have been with Nightwish. They're just all good in their own way.

Those song were made for previous lead singers (schooled mezzosoprano) Tarja and more pop style Annette which both gave their share to Nightwish, band that was 16 years b4 Floor stepped the ranks) and she had to inhale and mold them for her own style fitting - and She did..
I've noticed by relistening to the older albums that a lot of what Floor adds is singing with the backing tracks and other vocal fills. All that adds so much to songs.

Her range is apparent on her album My Winter Storm, where the lowest note sung is F3 in the song "The Seer", while in another song, she aimed for D6.
I sang a repertoire of a mezzo-soprano for many years and because of that, still today, I have rarely quite low register for a lyrical soprano. Nowadays, I see myself as a light lyrical soprano.

she changes 1 time during the song Last of the wild. ( instrumental.......... well sort of ) only Troy's Ullian pipes are singing in this one. In that song you can realy hear how good the band is. you dont get lost in Floors voice in this one, thats why.

Floor chooses her outfit style based on the album theme at the time. She has a lady in Austria that creates them. The design you mentioned that you would create is very close to the dress she wore at the Tampere 2015 concert. The heels on her shoes were unicorns. As to Tuomas head banging while playing the piano, he started playing when he was seven. I’m sure that by now his muscle memory allows him to do whatever he wants while playing. 😄🤘
As you say, Floor's stage presence is incredible. When she goes into the main part where she stokes up the crowd with the "hey hey heys", just watch Tuomas, who is standing there with his head in his hands. It's like he's thinking "what on earth have we unleashed on the audience?"

That was a very good observation about conserving energy in order to have enough to properly finish a show. Floor doesn't fly around the way she did in her Revamp days. The exception being "I want my Tears Back" from the Buenos Aires 2018 show, which is off the charts energy-wise.

That's a happy song, still not too light, you know what I mean. I don't remember you reacting to any video from Tampere. I'm sure someone will tell you about Floors outfit in that concert, and the shoes. I think, not sure, those are the ones she wore when she fell down on stage in another concert. But she handled the situation just fine with humor. When you are a performer anything can happen.
Tuomas aunt, Miitta Sorvali, is a well known actress in Finland. A month ago or so she was on the cover of a magazine with a quote from her: "Being able to laugh at yourself kills the feelings of shame." Something like that.

Floors stage clothing is based on their ideas, but has them finished by different designers. She has two with her in Wacken. The change happens during an instrumental song. Because you asked...Floor does a costume change when the band plays the instrumental "Last Of The Wilds"(song #9 of the concert). Trivia : There is a costume mishap. The zipper becomes jammed under her left arm and she is a split second late on her first vocal note of "Bless The Child"(song#10). You can see her running from backstage to the mic. The zipper being down a few inches is visible and she continues until Ghost Love Score and the interlude break where everyone leaves the stage. Back on stage and the zipper is fixed. :-)

This and Bye Bye Beautiful both are singles and have over 100 million views on TH-cam. Which is why there was some fan vocals because it was such a massive hit and Floor knew that the crowd would know the lyrics. They are both from Anette's first album with Nightwish 'Dark Passion Play'. I. My humble opinion It's their best album and it has no "bad" songs.
All Nightwish songs are fantastic, but this one is my favorite one.
The Night wish journey mine started in 2004 .Floor is an incredible vocalist my thing is I came to love this band with Tarija their first vocalist was there from the beginning went 10 yrs was a big reason for their success is what drew me in and alot of the songs that people hear Floor do are Tarija songs once again I've been following Floor back from the After Forever days so appreciate Tarija and go back to the End of an Era DVD and listen to Ghost Love Score or Nemo or Bless the Child Dark Chest of Wonders I thought all 3 singers bought something great to the band oh hell for all that watch the concert from Denver Colorado when Annette became" sick" so in stead of cancelling the show they asked Elze and Alyssa White Gultz if they would go out on stage with them and they had to hours to learn the set list one of the greatest moves I've ever seen a band do for their fans watch the concert I'm 61 yr old rock and roller playing drums for yearrrrrss and I've seen a lot of bands over the years and that is what it means to really appreciate your fans and a little something extra my introduction to R&R was in 1964/65 I watched the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in black and white I was 4 yrs old and I'm still that same kid I remember being mesmerized by Ringo at the age of 9 I started lessons Good Luck in your music endeavors I've listen to a couple of your songs I love that rasspness in your voice I believe that all female rock bands or fronted bands are strong right now and I think the power struggle is over Heart, The Runaways bolt that foundation it will never crumble.thanks for listen jimbo. If you do end up doing this whole concert, be aware that some versions online have a glitch and play back 4% slower. Also pretty sure she did 1 outfit change at the midpoint (last of the wilds), this song was in the second half just before GLS.
The Blu-ray release of Showtime, Storytime had a problem where the songs were slightly slower than what they're supposed to be. The DVD version luckily has the correct speeds. Just have to be careful with some of the "very high quality" YT videos since they could be captured from the BR disc.

Great music is timeless, it's only a matter of exposure. I had never heard of Nightwish before about a year ago. And I am a old person. Now I listen every day. Tuomas sure seems happy here. He is probably thinking to himself "Man, did we make a good decision bringing on Floor". Here is Floor again with her 80,000 back up singers. I think at times the guys are amazed at the control Floor has over the audience. She surely does.
this is Wacken 2013, they also have the live recordings from Wacken 2018 and Buenos Aires 2019, so that's why it looks like she is changing outfits.
You have to remember that she was not an official member then and the band and her were still learning each other during this concert. I'd suggest watching " you need to learn the songs in 48 hours" it's an eye opener

Okay, there was a lot of stuff going on in your reaction this time, I'll try to respond to them one by one. It'll be a wall of text for sure. I'm sure I forgot the exact order you mentioned these in, so lets just go through them randomly.
You talked about this being a happier song, and that's not absolutely wrong. It's not exactly a happy song in the end though, as you noticed during the bridge. One way to get an idea about the story plus all the missing lines Floor outsourced to the crowd would be to just listen to the music video of Amaranth. Honestly I think that's one of the best ways to get a good first impression of the previous lead vocalist of Nightwish, Anette Olzon, who was replaced by Floor in late 2012 in the middle of their US tour. She performed best in studio environments, while both Tarja and Floor are best enjoyed live. As to why the crowd sang the lines -- Amaranth was a HUGE radio hit. Well maybe not in the US, haha. When I think about this song in my head I still hear Anette's voice sing it, because I heard it so, so many times on the radio. It felt like it was played 24/7 back then.
Anette Olzon was the lead vocalist of Nightwish from 2007 to 2012 and they released two studio albums with her: Dark Passion Play in 2007 (including Amaranth) and Imaginaerium in 2011 (including Storytime). Dark Passion Play as an album was quite different from what Nightwish had done before that, and one could argue that the two main factors leading to this were the departure of Tarja Turunen from the band (which Tuomas in particular took as a heavy hit) and also the different vocal style of Anette who had no classical background. Just as a sidenote, in Storytime the climactic bridge where Floor goes all out came from a backing choir track with Anette, but with Floor they're either not using that or it's kept to a very low volume in the background. Considering that you might note that Storytime otherwise is much less technically demanding from the vocalist when compared to... lets say Ghost Love Score as an example. This is all still just an expression of music in its various forms, and I'll never forgive anyone who wants to shit on Anette because of this or anything else.
For any vocalist, DPP has one extremely demanding song that I'm sure you'll get to eventually, no need to worry about that for now. You'll hear it once you go through the Wembley 2015 concert, that's the last time they played it and from what Tuomas has talked in interviews it seems like they will never play it again. As you get to know the band and its history more you'll eventually get to appreciate DPP in all the ways it portrayed the mental state of Tuomas at the time and the darkest days of Nightwish where they seriously considered just disbanding the group between 2005 and 2007 when they had no lead vocalist. The shortest route to get there is to keep doing exactly what you've done so far, to have a firm grasp on what kind of a band Nightwish is like with Floor Jansen as the lead vocalist and then it makes more sense to contrast that with everything that happened in the past.
One important thing to note about Nightwish and how Tuomas composes his songs is that he works closely with his band members, and he clearly tailors his technical solutions around the band members he has available. None of the songs they played in this Imaginaerum world tour were composed for Floor Jansen, that would happen only in 2015 with the release of Endless Forms Most Beautiful, and from there you can once again hear how Tuomas composes different materials for different people. Of course his ambition as a composer has also -evolved- grown over time, so that has an effect as well.
Then you talked about the clothes. If you want a Nightwish lead vocalist who pays a lot of attention to costumes used on stage, then Tarja Turunen might be worth getting to know. She was the first lead vocalist of the band from its founding in 1996 all the way to the End of an Era concert in Helsinki 2005. She was fired from the band shortly after that night. Tarja's clothes are always amazing, and she switched them a lot all the way through the concerts too. Floor typically uses 2 sets of clothes for every concert: The first costume includes pants, and then she switches the lower portion to a dress sometime in the middle. She also uses a lot of leather, which is a pretty unforgiving clothing choice for a singer. Tarja had more colorful and complex costumes a lot of the time.
I'll just add a warning that since Nightwish has 3 distinct eras with different lead vocalists that means you have several distinct "camps" of fans. The Tarjaholics were insufferable after she left the band, and they had a second uprising when Floor jumped on board. The Floorfans respond to this by saying that Floor is the only actual singer the band has ever had, and the earlier vocalists were just crap. Time might have helped to still this fight, as a lot of those who listened to Nightwish between 1996 and 2005 are now grown ass adults who don't have the interest in random arguments like they used to, and many of them probably moved on to follow Tarja's solo career. If you end up ever making a reaction video to a Nightwish song with either Tarja or Anette singing you'll 100% draw some of this controversy in to the comments, and sometimes if people are tired or something it can get a bit ugly again. The wounds from Tarja and Anette leaving the band run deep, and it doesn't take much to bring back the negativity associated with it.
If you want to just keep on doing more Wacken 2013 stuff I'd recommend Dark Chest of Wonders next. Song of Myself is my favorite out of everything they played in this concert though. The Amaranth music video would be an option to "spice up" the Nightwish experience, though you've only just started so it might not be relevant for now. The only reason I'm mentioning it is because some of the things you talked about in the reaction.

As has been said, one change of stage clothing, form pants to a skirt. And an unintentional quick fix for a wardrobe malfunction where her (IIRC) top left zipper came unfastened up her armpit. As I've heard in an interview, Floor designs her stage costumes in collaboration with two stage clothing agencies, which also provide the final product.
And let's talk about the singing, Floor's ability to add that little bit of vocal fry here and there emphasizes the flow of this song. I like Anette's studio version of the song (that was a big radio play hit in Finland at the time), but this is very different and... Here I end my comment, respecting the no-comparison of lead singers policy.

You might get a better perception of the song if you saw the video with Anette which portrays the song's interpretation by Tuomas of the art work "The Wounded Angel" by Hugo Simberg. The painting was voted the most loved painting of the Ateneum Art Museum in Helsinki in 2006. The song came out on the Dark Passion Play album originally (2007). When you see the video, you understand the musical shifts better.

She just barely makes it to the mic at a sprint for her vocal cue after the intro for "Bless This Child" and the zipper wasn't fixed until the intermezzo of Ghost Love Score (which is right after this), so if you look carefully in "Bless This Child", Romanticide", this song and the first section of "Ghost Love Score" you can see under her left arm that it is not closed all the way. (at 02:54 in your [this] video) you can see it.
You almost described Floor's costume for Tampere 2015 when saying what you'd design, although it also had a motif around it, connected with the theme of the "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" album. :-)
Musically Amaranth seems mostly happy and is (by Nighwith standards) relatively simple, but the lyrics are pretty mysterious, at least to me.
It has a music video (which is great, although I've never understood how it connects with the lyrics!) for the studio version with Anette Olzon, who was the singer when it was recorded (although I understand she was not selected until after the "Dark Passion Play" album was written), but Floor has only ever performed it live - they've never re-recorded older songs after changing their line-up, so the studio version of every song in this show is with either Anette or Tarja. Floor has performed songs from every album Nightwish have ever made though, notably during the "Decades" world tour, 2018.
My 4 kids were born in the late 90s to mid-00s, and all of them are into rock, but then that is what was played most as they grew up! They have different tastes though, ranging from classic rock (Iron Butterfly, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, Yes, Journey, Styx, etc), classic metal (Led Zepellin, Black Sabbath), Grunge rock (don't really follow that genre much, myself) and Death metal (I don't have a clue) through to Sabaton, symphonic like Nightwish or Ajen Anthony Lucassen's various projects, particularly Ayreon. So they just got a direction from me, it's not a copycat thing. Also some of the young up and coming stuff, like Motion Device, Iron Cross, and others. Lots of collaborations these days, as tech has made it so much easier, so a number of individual artists collaborating in various combinations, which make it abundantly clear that current physical distancing laws and regulations are certainly NOT the "social" distancing they are commonly known as - I've certainly socialised more in the last year than any other in my life! Just not face-to-face (maybe I have a great face for radio).
There are some very "feel-good" Nightwish tracks. They also have some which move towards Folk-rock, like "My Walden" or Elvenjig/Elvenpath". "I Want My Tears Back" is also a pretty fun one, particularly as performed in Buenos Aires 2018, when they have a real party onstage and the whole venue joins in - or maybe the other way round!

As for how Tuomas can headbang while playing keyboards, I can only quote Pip Williams, who assists him in orchestration and arrangement for the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Metro Voices and London Young Musicians Children's choir, when asked how it could sound so good and all the parts come together so well "Well, he's a fuckin' genius, isn't he?"

As someone already mentioned, this song was on the album that came out when Anette (2nd singer) was in the band. Then again, most of the songs you've listened to on the channel so far have mostly been songs written for previous singers. During Anette's period in NW, its my opinion they got more pop-y. Nothing wrong with pop, but then again, metal or go home ;-)
I recommend you to react to Nightwish performing The Islander. The lead singer for that song is Marko and their live performance from Tampere will blow your mind once again, believe me that :D
Also their cover on High Hopes (originally by Pink Floyd) performed during End Of An Era is out of this world and Marko sings that one too :)
Floor usually works with an Italian? designer to develop the concept for her outfits. She also has a favorite tattoo artist, but I don't remember what country she is from. I'm sure someone on the board has all the details.
This is the first Nightwish song I can remember hearing back when Anette was still around. Its one of the few songs that I think Anette sings better. Not that I'm knocking Floor at all, she crushes this song but I prefer Anettes version

This song was written for Anette, so it's a little bit lighter. I love Alpenglow, though - that's Floor and it's bright and exciting!

This performance is, of course, magnificent. However, Tuomas writes music for each singer's special talents and, while Floor is a special singer and can do justice to anything, each Nightwish singer has particular songs that stand out for them. This is one that I think is performed best by its original singer, Annette Olzen. It would be worth checking out the music video and you could do it as a reaction because it's a different singer. WARNING: don't fall into the trap of comparing the singers. You will start a war. They're all good or they wouldn't have been with Nightwish. They're just all good in their own way.
