Maybe if we ever get to travel! btw we were thinking of creating a playlist The Wolf HunterZ adventures or adventures with Travis and Suzi and actually film us going on small adventures lol. Tuomas with the "holy shit" hands on his head (at 3:47) reacting to the crowd control Floor has i think is the greatest thing. He had to be so happy at that moment he had her in his band.

Am a massive fan BUT, This is the one song floor does not sing as well as Annette, have heard her do many live versions of this song & while she sings it well ( it is Floor after all who is my favourite) it's still not quite there ,which shows the Talent of toumas to write for individual sounding singers

The whole of the Wacken 13 show is just an all out love fest between Floor, the band and the audience. Everybody is realizing that the mad experiment is a FLAMING success, and there is only more joy to come. How happy the guys must have been to FINALLY mesh with the right singer.
I actually prefer the studio version of Amaranth with Annette to this live version though in general I prefer the live versions of their songs.

This was my first ever Nightwish song 10 years ago. It took me a while to adapt to this version. I love it now. And Floor is literally my favourite singer of all time.

When Floor starts the hey, hey , hey to the crowd and they respond.....Watch the smile Marco gives her and watch Tuomas hold is head when it gets really loud. I think it was an adlib by Floor.

Floor takes every studio song they have and then LIVE turns her special spin and makes it epic, so much so she ends up driving the crowds crazy. This band is just no stop, song after song LIVE is just an experience you don't forget!! Great reaction guys as usual and yes Marco did DIVA you and he is a great vocalist in his own right but him and Troy often get to duet with or back Floor but never seem to mind that 2nd seat and wait for their rare time to shine vocally!!

In the beginning "Amaranth" [demo-version's title was "Reach"] was just imagined as a bonus track. After chosen Anette as their new female vocalist, they changed the lead vocal from Marco to Anette. They exchanged also lyrics of the chorus as well as parts of the music. "Reach" was later the second song of the single. Nice vid as always.*

Annette's version of this and Storytime hooked me on Nightwish. Tarja on Phantom and Planet hell reeled me in, and Floor @Waken2013 landed me like a fat tuna.

You guys are really cool...enjoy your reaction videos immensely, just so fun...I first got into Nightwish during the Tarja era, then era 2 with Annette which I enjoyed but was not the same as Tarja's...dropped out for a while, then saw Floor fronting the band on this Wacken performance on Ghost Love Score...relit my love for the band...I think Floor is their best singer...this song was the big hit of the Annette era & I love the original studio version, but Floor sounds amazing on it...she can do all eras amazing & not have me miss Tarja or Annette...now that is something...

Suzie and Travis - I invite you to look at a very good recent cover by SUITE CLARITY on their channel. It would be good to see a comparison. They first reacted to Anette's version - and the general agreement is that Suite Clarity's singer McKinzie did it *better*.
Better? It was toe to toe with Anette's original in my opinion! There voices almost sounded identical!
*No offence, but I will always choose the original Nightwish version of Anette over all other versions except Floor's, which is just the tiniest breadcrumb behind the studio version.*
Its the one song that annette absolutely owns over Floor....and floor is my preferred singer , shows how good toumas is at writing for each singer

This is a really great example of Floor working the audience.
i think it must be because Floor has a darker timbre than Annette, this sounds slower than the studio version. i don't know. maybe i'm just weird.

I love Floor's voice but that richness and fullness can sometimes make her voice sound a little lost with the background music. Anette's voice actually cuts through since it is of a higher pitch making her sound more clearer.
@@Dirtnap1986 Maybe this is an upload from the Blu-ray version of Showtime Storytime, it's known this has a timing issue, being a bit to slow.. The DVD version has the right speed..
@@inflatable2 *It isn't that much of an timing issue....it's more about that in Floor's live version, there's no ["shrieking-high"] "day-break" after the chorus before the middle-part of the live version as well as after the last chorus before the song's end.....some details of the studio version, which I find important, are missing in Floor's live version.*

When it comes to Nightwish, I generally prefer the OG singer for each song. Yeah, I said it, I prefer Annette for this song. Floor is still AAA though.

Anette sang this song fairly well live at least in her earlier days. The song was perfect for her style of singing and voice whereas Floor struggles to really get going on this song compared to the 'bigger' songs. It's really suited for Anette.

Until this concert this was one of my least favorite songs in the Nightwish catalog. But Floor and the whole band transformed it from a pretty mediocre song with their previous singer to something wonderful, with a lot of help from a few thousand of their friends. Not that their last singer is bad, just that she did not match well with what I like the most about Nightwish. And there was also a palatable difference between how the band interacts on stage as well. Which is a good lesson for other bands as well.
