we used these in 10th grade metal shop in 1976 to measure the smoothness on the surface of the item being machined. Used on surface grinder and milling machine and shaper machine. Great memories from High School.
I remember these. We used them to set the eccentricity of head drums on 3/4" U-matic VCRs, and check tip projection of the heads on 1" and 2" quadruplex video machines. Fun times!
Hi, in our slang it's called a watch, I like the balance device, I don't have that among the devices - I have a directly swinging mandrel on one of the gauges. I don't even have the tool for the knife head and the clamp - all this is replaced by a switchable magnetic stand with prismatic cuttings. It's a shame that you didn't show for those who don't know that you can turn the scale and set a zero value where needed. Nice day 🙂 Tom
