In the past, horses were everywhere, even in big cities, there were millions of them, and they have contributed, suffered and died, to make our civilisation what it is.
I own an Arabian and she is one of the most gorgeous, sensitive, kind, motherly and high strung horses in the world.

2 details, One: if the title is "10 Most Powerful Horses" shouldn't the grading scale be based on, you know, raw strength? I am not sure what the scale is for this video. Two: have correct images for each horse. You used the same images for multiple 'different' horses.

Yes, ALL the "Heavy Horse" breeds are European "Cold Bloods" like the Shire, Clydesdale, Belgian, Percheron etc and NONE are Arabian which while fast are small and weak and have NEVER been used for pulling/ploughing!

Percherons have some arabian origins. As you can see when you look at their heads.

I loved the grey Percheron horses that drew the garbage wagon down Riverdale Avenue in Toronto in 1936. In summer I either watched from my bedroom window or got up early to wait for them as they clopped down the road.

yeah, i wonder if all the frames were in fact showing the damn breed the guy was talking about....some dont look like the breed he was talking about.. some were shown on two breeds, like why? and to show the strenght of a horse you show someone that is just yanking and pulling and making a horse jump around? the video that was commented by equestrian experts as an abusing one? not to mention the amount of times when horses were NOT comfortable on the videos...

ok, now that I watched the video I am going to comment on my fav horse. Since I am from Hampton Roads and took many a trip to Bush Gardens Williamsburg I am going to say that the Clydesdale is my favorite one and one I am most impressed by. standing next to one to get your pic taken is wow..they really are gentle enough to tolerate doing that all day.

This was great, I've been looking for "how to win betting on horse racing" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Senameron Sanyatt Approach - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my brother in law got amazing success with it.

Loyal? I should know how loyal they are, once I was away from mine for a trip and couldn't bring him. It was an entire month long, and when I came back, he galloped towards me and hugged me with one of his legs! And everytime I'm scared, I just go outside to see him and he greets me and acts protective over me. He's the best horse I could ever ask for and wouldn't trade him for anything

You should feature the Canadian Horse, i.e The Little Iron Horse, so named because they outpull pound-for-pound much bigger breeds. They are not a draft horse nor even a light draft, yet they were loved by Civil War soldiers because they were small enough to drive, yet powerful enough to pull artillery. Truly an amazing breed!

We had a Palamino belgian/quarter cross before so we love the drafts especially the Petra, my son loves the gentle calm nature and this could be his first horse.

You could look up local trainers who give riding lessons. Someone should have a gentle horse for a first timer, and it will be much safer with a knowledgeable person there to help you. I hope you can achieve your dream.

The Percheron is my favorite horse breed I got lucky and I got the ride one years ago they're all beautiful horses every one of them
My neighbor once pulled my car out of mudpit with belgian draft horse. I wasn't sure about it, because the car was sitting pretty deep in the mud.

I have an affection for the Clydesdale as I've always lived in the area in Central Scotland where they originated. I had ponies as a boy - showjumping and gymkhana events. One was an Arab /Welsh cross so I also have an affection for the Arab.

Wolves and Horses each have their own fair share of history. But you need to separate the wolves and the dogs. Dogs have a huge history to humanity, Wolves were only the stepping stone.

Thank you for bringing the American Cream Draft to viewers attention. They are currently in critical/almost extinct status with the equus trust and most people havent even heard of them. My cream draft mare is in my profile photo with my qh.
I remember someone saying a while back that there was only a couple hundred left in the US. Is that true, I know they aren't common but not sure in the population number
Makayla Kurtz ~ I don't have the exact number to date, but the 2020 equus trust now lists the breed as near extinction. Last exact number I had known of was 262, but that's been awhile ago. Most of the Cream farms are in the northern states and only a handful of horses in the southern states where I am. I know I cannot find a stallion anywhere near me and the ones I have been able to locate are too closely related to my mare to breed to. I had found an absolutely stunning young man at one point in time but her sire was his grandsire. Breeding closely related horses will not help the breed and this breed needs to be preserved at its best. They're absolutely gorgeous and extremely smart and loving giants. My mare is larger than the typical mare size for the breed standards, she's as tall as the stallions get and weighs about the same as the boys too. They are the most graceful one ton horses I have seen. They're very versatile, unlike other draft breeds and many excel in dressage and jumping -disciplines for the "light" horse or a regular horse. I absolutely adore my American Cream mare.
@@LynneDemonQueen1 i absolutely agree there is a mare at the ranch I used to ride at who is an American Creme. One of the most polite and gentle horses I have ever met who loves to go on trail rides with her owner
Makayla Kurtz ~ my mare is so in my pocket that she's actually a nuisance most of the time. I can't walk outside without her running up to me no matter where on my property she is when I open the door and follows me around like a puppy. She's so adorable though, wanting to be with "mom" (me) as much as she can be. Loves her peppermints and butt scratches. I got hit by a car and became disabled in 2016 and can no longer ride or anything, but she doesn't seem to care. Once you obtain their trust and love it's never ending no matter what, seemingly stronger than any other breed I've had or worked with in the 40 years I worked with horses.

While in terms of actual numbers they aren't the strongest; Pound for pound, the traditional shetland is one of the strongest breeds of horse or pony as they were used for similar reasons as larger draft breeds, but the upkeep would be significantly easier.
