Arabians are popular and rightfully so but that was always due to their capabilities not look. When it comes to beauty they really shouldnt even be in top 20. Their disfigured looking head doesnt do them any wonders. I love them for what they can do and i would love to have one but they just cant match the grace and elegance of Lipizzaners or majestic look of Friesians

arabian, however I was told by a bet they are easier to treat than a pit full of rattlers. I have been to a far, where a colt was being trained in a round pen. there is nothing more beautiful. I love horses and I would give anything to own a 'mutt' horse!!! Any horse!!!! I love cats and dogs but my dream is to own any type of horse. I'm old now and know this will probably never happen but I'm looking for a place that offers horse rides...or even horse visits! Anything horse!!! My only other favorite animal is the bird. No. 1....the horse!!!!

Breeds are not "species." All horses, including the tiniest ponies, are the same species, Equus caballus. (caveat: the wild horse of Mongolia, Przewalski's horse, is sometimes classified as a subspecies of Equus caballus, and sometimes as a separate species.)
I see clear signs of abuse in a lot of these clips. The ones where they make a horse walk or jump on their back legs is so wrong. Horses aren’t objects for our entertainment, stop abusing horses.

Pluses: Most of the horses pictured were actually the right breed, and the explanation of the Akhal Teke's shimmer was useful. Minuses: Too much of the footage was taken in Portrait Format, and way too much was quite blurry.
The halflingers weren’t used in the war for Australians at first, we had our own breed of military horses, I don’t think we use them today, so maybe we do use halflingers as of late, but the horses were called walers, there isn’t that many left actually.
