I have some work out hats that I sweat a ton in and after washing them they lost their shape and deformed quite a bit. I rinsed them immediately after the gym with hot water, stuffed the plastic bags in and form the shape and place them on my floor heating vents and by morning they're good as new! Thanks bro you saved me some money.
I messed mine up by putting it in the washing machine when my daughters ST-U-U-U-U-U-PID cat pissed on it. I soaked it in hot ass water then filled it up on the inside with plastc grocery bags as much as I could and used a hair dryer to blow on the outside of the cap. Then while it was still a little damp I sprayed the inside with spray starch. Put the bags back in and let it sit for a few days. Then before I took the bags out I gave it one last really good heating with the hair dryer and BAM!!! Good as new. I put it up after that since it was an Old school Houston Oilers Cap.
THANK YOU MY MAN, I ordered my hat in the mail and they put a dent in my hat while delivering it, thanks to your video I fixed it back to the original form👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
i just use a spray bottle, warm water, spray the inside and outside, i use my moms old cooking pot which is the perfect size and shape for my old caps and line the hat with a large enough cloth inside and let it take shape in the sun or fan. i wish i could post before and after photos cuz the transformation was unbelievable. ive restored 3-4 crumbled destroyed hats like new using this method, never tried a steamer yet
Man I bought 5 new snap backs from nflshop and the package smelled like ass so I washed the hats and it ended up losing their shape. This helped a lot thanks bro.
Where to store the hats? I have quit a few of them and messed them up stacking them on top of each other because I have no room for them anywhere. They collect dust like crazy in my room so I put them in the trunk of my car to protect them. Now they are all smashed from being stacked on top of each other.

What do you do if It's a trucker hat and the back is nylon? You'd melt it with steam. Any ideas? (I'm talking about removing the two creases in the nylon that are there because it was folded to sit on a shelf like that.
An old ass hat you cant get anywhere you've wornfor years that has a unique design you haven't ever seen and can't find there's nothing else as far as I can see unless it's material or stitching uniqueness
@metalheadweeb7132 I mean that the cap does not sit on the top of the head. There is a space between the cap and the top of the head. What could be done to make the cap sit completely on the head?😢
Hey boss, I've got a dark blue cap with these pink stains above the brim. Ive tried shampoo, dawn, a tide stick and nothings worked so far. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽
I need to know that, too. I had already thought about using a steamer but how to hold a flat brim long enough for the steam moisture to dry would be something to know. Place it on a table then put a brick on it?
This up there with best of them for time wasted watching a video!! You couldve just pushed the inside of your brand new hat out too. Wouldve taken 2 seconds
Lol damn that was quick. For all the naysayers, talking about how the hat is brand new, use your imagination. Granted, I'm not an expert. So maybe an expert can correct me.
Bro, literally used a brand new hat and then pushed where the logo was to make. It look like it was dented or overused.😂😂😂 this is going to the don’t recommend or don’t have fat people show me what to do😂😂
Using a brand new hat for a restore video is wild 😂
💀
Crazy af
😂
Mind blown 🤯
I'm dead. This is so true.
Great video bro, it worked ! If you don’t have a steamer you can boil a pot of water until steaming point & hover the hat over the steam.
Oh yea

Aight but let me tell you that hat wasn’t ever damaged besides the little dent you put in the front
Mr. Harvard over here
Step 3 use a brand new hat
A coherent sentence would be nice.
Bro that hat was just pushed in. You didn’t need the steamer for that lmao

Thanks man I used the water boiler and it works.. Thank you so much..
Man I bought 5 new snap backs from nflshop and the package smelled like ass so I washed the hats and it ended up losing their shape. This helped a lot thanks bro.
Step 1: own a hand steamer
Step 2: use it.

Im gonna show you how to fix it. First, take a brand new hat like the one i have here ..
Where to store the hats? I have quit a few of them and messed them up stacking them on top of each other because I have no room for them anywhere. They collect dust like crazy in my room so I put them in the trunk of my car to protect them. Now they are all smashed from being stacked on top of each other.

Thank you, big brother. Peace!
Thank you! 🧢 fixed…If you don’t have a steamer, boil water and hover over pot steaming water.
aye thanks man you saved like 4 hats of mine from going to shit
Can I use a regular iron ?
Yes
Iron a rounded hat with a flat iron? Um, no
@@bamapoppyI’m sure he meant the steam from the iron 😂
Can you explain the difference between different kinds of hats and what makes them unique?
An old ass hat you cant get anywhere you've wornfor years that has a unique design you haven't ever seen and can't find there's nothing else as far as I can see unless it's material or stitching uniqueness
What can be done if the cap is a little high on me? It can adjust with hot air?😢
What do ya mean by that
@metalheadweeb7132 I mean that the cap does not sit on the top of the head. There is a space between the cap and the top of the head. What could be done to make the cap sit completely on the head?😢
Lol the bags. I use balloons it helps get the side creases out too.
I dont have a steamer Will boiling work ?
A fresh brand new hat from the shop getting mauled and then used as props for restoration video content is so brutal 😂
Hey boss, I've got a dark blue cap with these pink stains above the brim.

That's probably from sweat. Best bet would just get a color dye to match and just touch it up with a q tip.
@@bobbyyang9591 Thank you!
The video is ridic! but i understand the concept! Thank you Sir!
God bless you hat King. May you live 1000 years x
I peep that copper yankee with the 125 year patch and the bronze pin in the bg
What steamer is being used?
Can you use an iron that has a steamer function?
You can even you a tea kettle. The keyword is STEAM
I don’t know why people are hating. Mine was completely destroyed and it fixed it
Also instead of bags I used a balloon
Amazing! Thank you!
Hat racks are dope.
The peak of the cap for me is super floppy how do I restore that?
Awsome but what about the brim
I need to know that, too. I had already thought about using a steamer but how to hold a flat brim long enough for the steam moisture to dry would be something to know. Place it on a table then put a brick on it?
@@bamapoppy i endeid up puting it between two peices of a 2x4 and claping them
My peak is creased how do i fix that?
That the only experience you got?
Lids going up imtellinyou!!!🎉❤
I know, it's a little thing, but you nailed it. Less than 2 minutes, informative, clear, minimal self-promotion...as it should be.
They should offer a cap stretching service.
Dude, Thank you !
nice so let’s show us how to restore a hat… this man uses a brand new hat as an example… you can’t make this up..
😂😂 bruh c'mon that was a brand new hat to begin with you just put a little dent in the front for the video stop the capping with the cap
Use a bump cap insert.
Thank you Christian
This up there with best of them for time wasted watching a video!! You couldve just pushed the inside of your brand new hat out too. Wouldve taken 2 seconds
Can we get an actual damaged hat?! 🤦🏽♂️
What about the brim
A brand new hat for this video is ridiculous bro come on show us on a real creased up older hat
Damn that was helpful.
when he was steaming the hat, the top looked like the grinch
You literally pressed the hard part of the hat in… that hat is brand new.
Anybody has Coupon code for Lids??
Restoring a brand new hat 😅
Cotton shrinks with high temperature
How does a guy fix a muffed up bill?
You can also lay it over a new hat
Lets see one with an actual crease on the buckram and not oke that wasnt even damaged to begin with
🧢Literally 😂
i dont have a steamer....
Brand Name
This was disappointing. Ya gotta do better.
Nice
Looks better broken in and without that box shape to it..
Better idea: Just watch dre in 616 for the proper methods on reshaping hats.
There gotta be a better way, how is a few plastic bags, or even 10 bags gonna shape it
Lol damn that was quick. For all the naysayers, talking about how the hat is brand new, use your imagination. Granted, I'm not an expert. So maybe an expert can correct me.
U think we wouldn't notice how u just put a small dent in a new hat and try act like it was really worn out. That's not a real restoration my guy
Couldn’t you just steam it or wash it with the hat cage y’all sell for 15 bills lol
Could probably use a balloon.
Christian seems like a chill dude. Free knowledge always gets respect!👍🫡
Can I take my hat to you guys
Ironic how im reshaping a rangers hat 😭
Cap was new 💀
Steam it and put it on top and under a other hats
Lmao restore a new hat
