New Era 59fifty fitted cap is the best baseball cap of all time in history.
You’re obviously not old enough to remember Tim McAuliffe/ KM Pro. Look them up, New Era ain’t 💩 compared to what they were.

New Era used to make good stuff. Not for a while now. Maybe they need to bring production back home to the U.S.?

It's a shame the caps are now such different patterns and poor quality with them mostly being outsourced overseas.
Bring back the quality of new era prices keep going up while quality keep tanking
For real. Paying $50 for a cap that now looks like it's made in china. Been buying them for two decades now, so it's easy to compare to older ones i have, and you can just tell there's no quality assurance anymore.
Overseas made, low quality, size inconsistencies, I have been wearing new era hats for the last 25 years, you can tell the difference between old US made and now overseas made hats
My thoughts. They go on about the "love and passion" but that's not the vibe I've been getting the past years with them moving production overseas and overall just making an inconsistent product.
I think they are made in Bangladesh

Let's talk about the decline of the 59Fifty, that is, since it's no longer produced in the USA. When it was made in the USA, it had a better shape, better stitching, better overall quality.
An American pride, produced elsewhere, with all the problems involved
I love how you guys used footage and pictures of the factory in New York that you closed in 2019, causing 200 people to lose their jobs. It gives the false impression that it still exists. You also mislead the public by selling MLB on-fields made overseas even though the ones the players receive are actually made in the Miami-Dade area. The ones in stores should be sold as replicas, because that's what they are.

@@user-fh7zw6br4h their official reason was that they no longer wanted their own employees doing the actual manufacturing and wanted to use contractors instead so they could focus more on being a "brand." However, their state tax benefits for keeping the plant open were going to expire. Coincidence?
@@insomniac186 that’s a lame excuse the real reason was it was cheaper to outsource there factory over seas a lot of the workers who make these hats get paid very little in these factories and they know that they know that in USA it would never slide and be acceptable there people making only a few dollars in their factories making the hats. They outsourced it to not just china now but places like Bangladesh Laos Vietnam Haiti and a few more. They figure they can save as such money using cheap labor and sell their product for more than their worth.
Shout out New Era! You guys legit are the best. I don’t leave my house without that Dodger blue LA hat. Thank you for what you’ve done for people and for the culture.

being a hat company New Era has always made hats for all the leagues regardless of sponsorship.
Back in the 90s in UK. New Era caps were rare, and people wasnt really aware. I got a grey NYY 5950 from JJB then I managed to get a Red Yankees cap from Footlocker. They were made so much better back then. All low profile. Grey bill. Just great to wear. Now they look like a box on ya head. Hard to break in. I miss the 90s.
The only thing I don't like about the 59Fifty is the sizing is inconsistent, some 7 1/4 hats are tight fitting, some 7 1/4 hats are loose fitting, and some are just right, some 7 1/8 hats fit like 7 1/4, some 7 5/8 hats fit like 7 1/4, and don't say it's how long my hair is, it's not
They are all hand stitched... There's room for error.
As they're made in different factories in different countries except where they should be made, usa
5950 is just a standard shape now. I would reference it for shape build when sending spec guides to China all the time. What’s more crazy is these $2 hats are sold for $50
Need to bring some American production back, New Era Premium edition. I personally would pay a premium for one.

One of the 1st fitted New Era hats I got, didn't even have the flag on the side. It was a University of Tennessee Orange fitted 7 3/8. Not like Jimmy Houston trucker, Orange w/white T
All the hats are made in Vietnam, Bangladesh and other countries outside the USA and it's always a crapshoot if your size is going to fit. Maybe focus on consistent quality regardless of where they are made. It would also be nice if you made these in the USA.

Am I the only who's seen quality control issues lately. I recently got a KC Chiefs fitted hat with multiple issues. The material under the bill is wavey and the word Chiefs on the back is crooked.

With sweatshops in Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, Haiti, there’s no consistency to sizing, symmetry or quality. Come on New Era, you can do better.

@themancaveclub the ones the MLB players receive for in-game wear still are, it's required by MLB. It's possible to get them, you just have to go through each team's game used sales departments.

Every NE hat that I have bought is too small. I take a 7.5 and everyone I have bought at MLBShop is to small even though the label says 7.5. Poor quality control
