Sam Laud - Marquette Is A Long Ways Away, FLOOR IT! 7/6/24

In this video you will see the Sam Laud turning in the 6th St Turning Basin and outbound passing Carrolton MI July 6th 2024.
The Sam Laud loaded stone at Stoneport MI July 5th 2024 and did a split load for Wirt Stone unloading at their Bay City and Saginaw Docks. After finishing the unload at Saginaw Wirt they sailed up river the rest of the way to the 6th St Turning Basin. After spinning around they cruised at a good 6 or 7 knots (which is very fast for a ship on the river) downriver for Lake Huron to head for their destination of Marquette to load taconite.

@@danielmorris3687 yeah they were going around 6-7 knots which in a tight channel with not much room for error is very fast! You can tell the captain is a regular visitor!
