100%. As soon as he hit play I had a huge grin on my face bc I knew there was no way he wouldn’t like it. The guitar is so big and smacks you right in the face. Starting with Dumpweed and and ending with Anthem for this album.. they knew exactly what they were doing.
it's probably the best "welcome to the album" track ever assembled in pop punk - in all of punk rock for what i'm concerned but that's always IMHO . no way in hell he wasn't gonna like it, this album has zero fillers . pick either this one or dookie as the best pop punk album ever and you will not be wrong either way
The reason why you notice resemblance in the production between this and Insomniac is because Jerry Finn was the producer for both albums. He was practically the fourth member of blink, and has unfortunately passed away due to health conflicts. He was such an important figure in pop-punk.
You honestly need to listen to this three album run. Enema of the State, into Take Off your Pants and Jacket, into the Untitled album is incredible. It really has some of the most profound evolution in a band I've heard. All three albums are a treat to listen to, and the growth you hear, in the music and the lyrics is incredible.
Best reaction to Blink 182 hands down!! Love the fact that you disliked the band so much when you were young and now found an appreciation for their craft! Great song writing in this album. This is my favorite album of them altho i like all of them and neighborhoods is so underrated but is up there!! Give it a go when you get a chance!
This is the best reaction ive ever seen to anything blink related. Everyone knows the poppy radio hits, but there is a reason beyond that as to why they got so big. There are so many lesser known songs that people ignore and just make fun of Tom's alien bullshit and singing "WHERE ARE YEWWW!". He makes phenomenal music. The songwriting structure behind these tracks is incredibly efficient, as you mentioned in the video. The little guitar riffs Tom does, the insane drum fills from Travis, and the groovy ass bass lines from Mark really make this their best album. I held a similar opinion of blink that you did for a long time. I didnt really get it. Then i dove deep into the catalog in 2020 during the peak of the pandemic and realized why they became as iconic as they did. They became my favorite band. Tom genuinely inspired me to pick up a guitar and start playing again. While this is arguably their best album, id really love to see you hear their others. I personally love the older ones, as it was more of a raw punk sound. Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch are both spectacular listens all the way through. But i also love the newer stuff like Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs, both also worth full listens. They also have a new album coming out soon, which is the first project featuring Tom since his return to the band. Thank you for this. Somehow it still feels like they're underrated in a strange way. Sure, they're internationally known and arguably shifted the culture for a whole generation, but people don't realize how good the music is. There's an art to simplicity. Mutt was in the first American Pie movie and i can almost guarantee that's where you heard it. One of my favorite songs on this album. Final thought, What's My Age Again is obviously a fantastic song. Songs often times get over played for a reason. It's because they are good. And that's an extremely well written song. Great reaction. I look forward to future blink content.
Blink-182 It gives us a charm with many emotions that a simple temporary taste, blink will always be heard in my ears. From their first album "Flyswatter" to the latest albums ★.
Man, I'm so jealous...getting into Blink with 10 albums to listen to all at once... i dont know if other people feel this way, but I've always had more respect for someone that screws up or does something stupid, but then has the capacity for self reflection and admits they were wrong, then someone who never did anything wrong in the first place. Every living human that lives through their teenage years has done so much stupid shit. in 7th grade i was listening to Korn and telling people that Rancid sucks. I mean...holy shit man. Two years later, wearing a Rancid shirt, I was making fun of a guy in a Korn shirt. Someone else said "Hey, didnt you used to wear a Korn hoodie with basketball shorts and airwalks to school??" That was a literal turning point in my way of thinking. I felt so dumb.
Mutt and Dumpweed and Anthem are probably my favorites on this album. This is just a great record. Highly recommend TOYPAJ, I think that’s maybe their best album. Their older stuff like Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat are fun and great in their own way but I don’t think they’re necessarily as high quality as TOYPAJ. Reckless Abandon and Anthem pt. 2 are amazing songs.
05:02 the pain in the eyes of those who lost their adolescence by not listening to blink-182 LOL. Nice video man, it's never too late to listen to them.
I stopped listening to Blink after Untitled, and only 2 years ago just randomly put on Neighborhoods just to see where Blink went, and I loved it. But then immediately fell off of them again when I listened to the follow-ups without Tom. 🤷♂️
All the Small Things is a damn good song but it's an overplayed song for us blink fans and I feel like they have so many better songs. I'd love to listen to your reaction of blink's self titled/untitled album released in 2003. That's when blink made the biggest change in their sound. It's such a unique album and it separates blink from the other pop punk bands of that era
All the small things seems to have been crafted as the "perfect" single for that type of album, i wouldnt say its a damn good song per se, but it seems to have accomplished what it set out to do in spades, as a song though i would still put it as one of their worst
You know. Your video was an hour long. I never devote an hour of my day to watch any TH-camr. But your video was so damn honest. You took accountability for how you used to be in your youth. You accepted your ignorance and you and have a point of self reflection where you gave an artist another chance. Even if you were to have heard this album today and felt the same way as you did back then, that’s fine. Music is subjective. But you realized you just had bias for other reasons. I think that’s an extremely important thing for the human condition to experience - growth. And you did such a phenomenal job of breaking down every single song. And all of your points were spot on. I’ve been a blink fan since the mid 90s, so I’ve been dragged through the blink haters. I developed a shell to ignore it. But it’s refreshing to see someone who has had an admitted bias give them a second chance and really breakdown what they are as songwriters. And this was the first album with Travis. They’ve just gotten better as they have matured, like the new album they are releasing soon will attest to. Thank you for making this video. It’s the greatest hour I’ve ever spent on TH-cam.
Take Off Your Pants & Jacket is the blink album that follows this one and it's kinda their Insomniac if this is their Dookie, you may like that one too
Have you heard the original version they recorded with Scott? I actually prefer it to Enema's version. It's way more gritty and punk sounding and its awesome.
The tribalism in high school when it came to music is so real. That's what kept me from experiencing so much music that ended up being some of my favorites. You should do their self titled album or Neighborhoods next. Two very underrated and amazing albums.
i uderstand this guy because i was like that with Iron Maiden. Later now, one of my favourite bands that i can clearly hear inspired the super good Gotenburg MDM sound.
When I was a teenager, I loved Blink-182 (still do) and all my metal head "friends" relentlessly made fun of me. Fuck them all, Blink is awesome! Lol Glad you finally gave them a shot and enjoyed it.
Man, I loved your reaction. It's so refreshing to hear someone being so open about what they like and what they don't, and acknowledging the biases we all had growing up. It's so fn true. In my case, I have been listening to blink since I was 13, and while my first crush was All the Small things on MTV, I think the love was born with Don't leave me, Dysentery Gary, Adam's Song and Going Away to College... And then I discovered Dude Ranch and coulnd't stop listening to Untitled and Apple Shampoo... Mark, Tom and Travis show introduced me to their humor and the motto of not taking life so seriously, I know all the dialogues by heart. Dammit helped me to take courage to do things, Carousel make me learn guitar, Take Off your pants and jacket made me grow with them and, oh well, the self-titled was my full last year of college. I Miss you's chorus was my MSN nick name for so long lol... They are relatable, and they are not posers, and that trascends. Last week, I saw them live for the first time, and it really was a dream come true.
Dude props to you for being self aware and open minded enough to give something you vehemently hated back in the day another chance. People grow and can change their minds sometimes... thats worth a sub in and of itself 🤘 Edit. 17:30 Joyce Manor fucking slaps! And yeah I'd be shocked if they weren't influenced by Blink
10th grade English class we had to break down lyrics from our favorite song and got to play the song for our class. That was my choice. Still listening to it all these years later. ❤
20+ million sold! Such an iconic album. Fun fact: they had to resize the album and remove the Red Cross from the nurses hat because it violates the Geneva convention (can’t use a Red Cross with a white background)
Don't feel bad about not liking All The Small Things, majority of us blink fans hate it too lol. Also please check out Dude Ranch, the album that came out before Enema, and then listen to Take Off Your Pants & Jacket after, and of course listen to Untitled.
It's a very commercial song but I like it from time to time, it's not something to listen to all the time, I love many other blink songs that I consider better than All The Small Things
Being older, the line, "no one should take themselves so seriously, with many years I've had to fall in line, why would you wish that on me, I never want to act my age.." is the anthem of getting older and remembering who you still are.
Blinks vocal melodies from Enema to untitled or unmatched IMO. Lyrically they're okay, very generic maybe. Vocal quality, say what you will, I like their voices but I understand it's an acquired taste. But the melody of the vocals are so damn catchy.
Amazing reaction! Very cool angle from being a hater to a fan. Excited for you to do more of their albums, will be looking out for them! Dude Ranch, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, Untitled, Neighborhoods, oh and can’t forget about the amazing side project Box Car Racer! Definitely subscribing!
Fantastic video, one of my favorite albums of all time and I'm glad you were able to mature and give it a more fair look. The critiques you had, even if i disagreed with some of them were even fair.
24:48 if you really want to appreciate all the little details that went into producing this song, TH-cam the video “what makes this song great what’s my age again?” The guy isolates different parts of the song, so you can really see all all the details and layers that went into making it
This was an interesting reaction. I have always loved blink, they were one of the first few bands who were my introduction to Pop-punk. I know a lot of the Punk Purists hated them, but I often felt that most of that criticism was extremely prejudiced and ignorant. The thing about blink-182 is that they are just fun, but quite emotional and real when they feel like it. They have this almost melancholic vibe to them. Like you're in a Concert having the time of your life, but at the same time, you know you're gonna choke up one day when you look back at it from nostalgia. Although they were probably the biggest band in the genre (one of the biggest bands of the new millennium), they didn't have as much credit until quite recently. Because the music scene has changed so much, it has evolved in a direction that I can see blink's music being retconned as sort of this Raw sound full of emotion and personality. That is what happens with music. Back in the 70s when the Ramones, and the Clash were making songs that felt a radical crime to the older generation. Now, those bands are considered as iconic legends. The thing about blink is that, bands like them will always stay with you longer than the haters and critics. You can't understand what they mean to so many people, until you feel it for yourself. If you haven't, you will never know. It's like one of those things: If you know, you know. Glad that they're back. Even tho I'm not the biggest fan of their new songs apart from One More Time, I'm just glad to see the boys back at it. Feels like it's '99 all over again.
I used to hate blink 182 too, everyone liked them around that time , all the small things was so lame to me. But when these guys created stay together for the kids … bruh.. that song changed my life , I’ve been a blink 182 fan since then. (2001 ) And they kept improving and became one of the best bands in the world. The self titled album is my favorite album of all time.
And the song Mutt was featured in American Pie when Jim runs to his friends house to view Nadia on the livestream, and "Every Time I Look for You" is played at the beginning of American Pie 2. And Mark, Tom and Travis was even in American Pie as the band who's practicing when they find Nadia live-streaming.
Hey man long time blink fan here. I would totally love to see you react to their self titled record. For me that is my all time favorite album and I think you would love how experimental they got with it.
Adams song is far from my favourite track on that album, but the way it builds throughout and finishes with that huge open sound I think is what used to help lift me when I was feeling down. I'm 41 now and still find myself listening to this album from time to time, I'm really glad you decided to give this another go and I think you've done it incredibly well.
What other albums? The on that brought the Emo-Punk era - the selftitled album. Its a darker album though. Also Take of Your Pants And Jacket with Enema is maybe PEAK Blink - "every song is a blast". Hah, weird about "Wendy Clear" that you said was okayish - that's my favourite song from Enema. Its SOO good. Blink with Enema revived punk in the 2000's bro. And the trash like My Chemical Romance buried the whole punk-pop/emo/rock scene when emo-punk became more of a theatrical thing. Taking Back Sunday was the Peak Emo. After 2005-2006 we had to wait almost 20 years for this to become popular again. And its happening.
It gives you Insomniac vibes? Because Jerry produced Green Day as well. The unforgettable pop-punk godfather. What a godsend. I feel that John Feldman can live up to the name but their will be no one like Jerry; ever. Hands down.
This is funny I stumbled across this because I was in a similar boat in high school. I would say, I didn't dislike them, but I was indifferent and I never gave them a good chance because of the clique of kids in my school that I didn't like, loved this band. I revisited them a few weeks ago and I love some of their albums now. This and Dude Ranch are fucking great! Judging by your converge shirt, I assume you may be like me and appreciate faster music. I love fast punk rock and I think it benefitted us coming back to this record and having Dumpweed be the opening track. Instantly got me hooked. They're very good, at least during their heyday, at coming up with catchy melodies and strong hooks. "Pathetic" from Dude Ranch is probably my favorite song of theirs, especially the live version.
I subscribed for the fact alone you gave this seminal album--on which so much went right such as Jerry Finn's production--a chance. This album was recorded analog. That guitar tone. Even on All The Small Things. Mutt was in American Pie. I think when Jim is running to watch the webcast. Wendy Clear rocks cause of the pensive feeling and the hammond organ. What's My Age Again has the same melancholy feel.
I was 14 when Enema came out, loved it but eventually turned on the band because they were so huge but now, going back to it, that run up through Untitled is epic and they really deserve to be considered the gold standard for pop-punk. Enema is essential, dude!
Hey man, I'm a life long blink fan and I really admire your honesty with yourself. There are plenty of bands I "hated" when I was younger that now I listen to with a found respect. I think it's just part of growing up and learning to let go of stuff. Love the content man, keep it up!
yea most bands seem to get annoyed by their most radio played and most known songs. i can’t blame anyone for it lol. it makes sense. i hear the same shit on the radio today every 30 mins u hear the same song again over and over. so it makes sense lol
After 20+ years of listening to Blink-182, Dumpweed is still one of my favourite songs of all time. It's one of those songs that is still just as good today as it was back then. This whole album is awesome. I took a look at your channel and checked your soundcloud link to see where you were coming from, and I get the feeling that we both share similar ideas. We just kinda like things fast, heavy and groovy, but we also like catchy hooks and good songwriting. I see that you did a reaction to From Under The Cork Tree, I haven't watched it, and while I'm not a huge fan of the whole album, A Little Less 16 Candles is another one of my favourite songs. Fall Out Boy was a band that my sister was into so I couldn't like what she liked, but visiting them years later, they have some great songs. Attila is a band that people love to hate, and Rage is a fantastic album if you don't take it seriously and just have fun. Or, I don't know if you're familiar with Protest The Hero, but they're probably my favourite band, and they mix all of the elements I mentioned before really well. Fast, heavy, groovy, but also super catchy and good songwriting.
I really love your reaction man that was amazing , when you got excited in what’s my age again I felt it man …. If you want to be really surprised by blink listen to dude ranch , which is the one that came before this one you’ll probably relate to it more as it’s more punk rock and more raw , otherwise you have the one that came after this one called take off your pants and jacket which is an evolution of enema a bit similar but different at the same time , I’ll watch 100% if you make another blink reaction I just subbed
Dude Ranch is their best album imo a good mix of raw early not overly produced Blink with the new experimental stuff that led to enema and then the obviously massive commercial success. It’s the imperfections that make Dude Ranch so great imo.
So it took you, what, 39 sec?, to realize you're not hating but actually loving the band you made a video about... I would honestly rethink my whole life if I was THAT stupid.
You like Mutt because it sounds like a Dude Ranch song! Seriously gotta react to that album, it wasnt my favorite growing up, but it has become my absolute favorite blink album. Its slightly more on the "punk" side, its so fucking catchy, but like, raw-catchy. No Travis as his first album with the band was Enema, but Scott Raynor was nothing to play with either!! Great video btw, please do Dude Ranch!
7:34 Yuuuuup! This whole album is an experience, a solid 10/10 in my opinion. But I'm 33 and the nostalgia might as well be part of my rating, so I may be biased a little bit... 😶 And the best part of all of this is that as soon as you finish listening to this album, you go straight to TOYPAJ and the journey fluidly continues! Same thing with Untitled afterward.
Blink is my favorite band and the band that got me into playing music. I was in junior high and I saw Dammit on MTV and fell in love lol. It's awesome you are giving it an honest chance. Tbh All The Small Things is my least favorite blink song hahaha. You should definitely give their later stuff a listen. More mature lyrics they developed a more serious tone. They arent the best live but the whole thing was to see them live and cracking jokes and just being friends on stage playing shitty pop punk songs lol. I love them!
Music is so subjective. It makes complete sense you hated Blink when it first came out & just wasn't part of your lifestyle/culture, so many people did. But so fucking cool of you taking the chance to review it over again 20 years later with a new mindset & have them click for you! Alot of people don't want to change their original statement/thoughts and just stick to Blink is shit, but you''re a dude with an open mind & open to a new interpretation, and I absolutely appreciate you for that. Fucking kudos! You got a new subscriber! 🤙
Adams song is outstanding musically & lyrically!! Mark talks about how he felt back as a teenager & it’s how he felt during his fight with Cancer in recent years. One of Blinks best!! P.S Blink blow Green Day out of the water!!
I had this album when it came out during my teenage years. I recall Blink being highly popular then, but they also faced criticism primarily due to the image they portrayed. Oddly enough, this album, deeply rooted in that period, has stood the test of time remarkably well. It's so fun to witness the sincere reaction from a former blink hater years later, so thank you for this video I really enjoyed it!
I Remember listining to this album all day long for weeks and weeks when it came out in 99. I was 13 or 14 at the time and it has aged really well. I still can enjoy it from front to back today. There is not one bad song on the album and that´s what makes a classic!
I did this and many do when they're young. You're wrapping your identity around a thing that makes you unique. I was the same way with underground hip hop. Now I can appreciate it all because it depends on my mood.
Well im officially a fan of Joyce Manor. And as inspiration of your videos sir im going to go back and listen to bands i hated in my youth. Hopefully i can give them another chance
I think a big part of the problem with people not liking them is...All The Small Things. A lot of people I know that don't like them, always refer to that song. I think it's because that's the one that went mainstream. The one that was overplayed at the time. In a similar way to Kings of Leons' Sex On Fire, it's not even close to being their best song.
"I took my time, I hurried up, the choice was mine I didn't think enough" is a direct response to Kurt Cobain's line "take your time, hurry up, the choice is your's don't be late" in the song Come As You Are by Nirvana
Also you may recognise Mutt from American Pie in the whole scene with Jim and Nadia, and you even see Blink as the dudes with the monkey watching the live stream “go trig boy, it’s ya birthday” 😂
Nice Converge T-shirt! This album is a classic, production is great and the addition of Travis Barker elevated them to the next level. Jerry Finn really was a perfect producer for them.
You have to give credit where it is due no matter who it is and how you feel about them or else you are ripping yourself off. You will feel better about yourself and be a big step closer to being a truly honest person. Not lying to yourself or others is easy I swear.
Respect. Growth is pivitol especially as we mature not only as people but fans of music. As a former music major I've learned so much about Art, specifically music and how the pieces we call songs impact our lives. I relate to this, in that I was very anti pop punk. But as I grew I learned the opinions I once held in my teenage developmental years are in no relation to the human I've become in my middle adulthood years. Life is a ride, the fact is the band is talented And the opinion is whomever we choose to grow into our taste is going to change. Sushi one day fried chicken the next! Thanks. P.s. that is a sick converge shirt!
24:35 I feel you. 29 years old and re liste ing this song after 10 years probably and Jesus THOSE DRUMS ahahah Its like a new first listen . We are Adults Now.
Having been a long time blink fan and after hearing people talk so much shit about them, it’s so refreshing to see you give this a real listen and to give your honest opinion, even though it goes against what you thought of them before. Hats off to you sir!
How many of us knew track one was gonna send him? Dumpweed is such a banger and that guitar riff just hits right
100%. As soon as he hit play I had a huge grin on my face bc I knew there was no way he wouldn’t like it. The guitar is so big and smacks you right in the face. Starting with Dumpweed and and ending with Anthem for this album.. they knew exactly what they were doing.
It’s their best song. It doesn’t have to be a favorite… but it’s the BEST
it's probably the best "welcome to the album" track ever assembled in pop punk - in all of punk rock for what i'm concerned but that's always IMHO . no way in hell he wasn't gonna like it, this album has zero fillers . pick either this one or dookie as the best pop punk album ever and you will not be wrong either way
I did
*Blink hater* : I hate Blink
*after the very first notes of the very first song* : This is now my favorite band
😂😂
LOL
Yeah it even seemed to be an act ngl
exactly me
That's the youtube reaction grift lol
The reason why you notice resemblance in the production between this and Insomniac is because Jerry Finn was the producer for both albums. He was practically the fourth member of blink, and has unfortunately passed away due to health conflicts. He was such an important figure in pop-punk.
Not to be a pedantic asshole but Jerry Finn "only" mixed Insomniac. That record was produced by Green Day and Rob Cavallo.
You honestly need to listen to this three album run. Enema of the State, into Take Off your Pants and Jacket, into the Untitled album is incredible. I second this, that was three banger albums back to back to back!
agreed 100%
100% correct

bro no disrespect to those 3 albums, they are all incredible, but Dude Ranch needs to be mentioned here as well.
Track 10, "Mutt" was featured in the teen comedy, "American Pie" during the infamous webcam scene.
It’s the unofficial theme to the point that blink had the theme song on American pie 2
Funny enough, it was the first time I listened to Blink (my favorite band). I was 12...
@@sgt.pepper5794 yeah man we all were
The band also appeared in a scene, watching the webcam video while rehearsing.
Prolly my favorite track on the album

this album is a no skip masterpiece!

Jerry Finn produced 3 of their albums, starting from this one. He was one of a kind, too bad he’s gone way too early :(
he produced box car racer also

But it’s refreshing to see someone who has had an admitted bias give them a second chance and really breakdown what they are as songwriters. And this was the first album with Travis. They’ve just gotten better as they have matured, like the new album they are releasing soon will attest to. Thank you for making this video. It’s the greatest hour I’ve ever spent on TH-cam.
Take Off Your Pants & Jacket is the blink album that follows this one and it's kinda their Insomniac if this is their Dookie, you may like that one too
Mutt is the best song they've ever written IMO. Just screams summer 99. It might be familiar as it was in American Pie during the web cam scene!
Kaleidoscope is a masterpiece
The flanger effect on the guitar in “going away to college” is sooo good
Just had to say as a life long Blink fan ur video was really heartwarming, like ur style too keep it up
Jerry finn did an incredible job guiding these guys.
The song Mutt was played in America Pie which is likely why chorus was familiar.
Dude props to you for being self aware and open minded enough to give something you vehemently hated back in the day another chance. People grow and can change their minds sometimes... thats worth a sub in and of itself 🤘
Edit.
17:30 Joyce Manor fucking slaps! And yeah I'd be shocked if they weren't influenced by Blink
Aliens exist is one of their go to songs for all blink fans IMO.
As a massive blink fan I can say All The Small Things is my least favorite blink song
Dude Ranch is my favorite! Pure skate punk right there.
It's a very commercial song but I like it from time to time, it's not something to listen to all the time, I love many other blink songs that I consider better than All The Small Things
ATST is a big singalong classic, in the same league as Wonderwall, If I Had $100000, American Pie, Who Could It Be Now?, Sweet Caroline, etc.
Mutt was actually first recorded by their original drummer Scott Raynor before he exited the band
I’m about half way though the video… Adam’s song… and I can’t WAIT for him to get to anthem.
Well I’ve gotta say that you definitely gave blink the best possible chance by listening to Enema of the State. This was by far their greatest album
24:48 if you really want to appreciate all the little details that went into producing this song, TH-cam the video “what makes this song great what’s my age again?”
The guy isolates different parts of the song, so you can really see all all the details and layers that went into making it
I was gonna suggest this too. It’s well worth a listen! Amd you’ll appreciate the song and production even more!
And after you finish watching Beato, watch Pat Finnerty.
And they kept improving and became one of the best bands in the world.
Facts. self titled is #1 Then i'd put dude ranch second
Thanks for what you doin today. Keep going🎉
Remind you, he recently came from the band Aquabats and only had 45 minutes to study the setlist right before they let their last drummer go
Blinks self titled album is the biggest shift in sound from this. I'd listen to that next to see how they changed.
Hits pause: "There's that one little guitar part. I don't know. I don't know about that part."
Hits play: "I am still a skeptic, yes you know me."
An amazing album, an amazing band
Mutt , alieni exist , what's my age again...... TOP . This album is gooooood
him during dumpweed = my honest reaction
' yoo ive heard that before!! '
The song Mutt is in American Pie 🙂
I think most actual blink fans also dislike all the small things to some degree. You're good bro 😂
I think blink even dislikes that song. Its like my least favorite. Juat way over played loved it when it first came out though.
Blink's one of my all time favorites. I always skip that song. Lol
Kinda fact. It’s a good song but also really overplayed for a blink song and that is saying a lot.
Great song, but I'm god damn sick of it lol
yea most bands seem to get annoyed by their most radio played and most known songs. i can’t blame anyone for it lol. it makes sense. i hear the same shit on the radio today every 30 mins u hear the same song again over and over. so it makes sense lol
Adams song isnt written about teen angst, it was actually written by Mark about how he spiralled into depression when the band was touring.
Exactly
Fast, heavy, groovy, but also super catchy and good songwriting.
i saw blink in 1996 when they toured for Cheshire cat and man.....i was hooked
"Blink 182 sucks"
"Yo that's sick!"
I am confident in saying that Mutt is the best produced song off of Enema
I like when you say “his voice” there’s 2 lead singers , not the same singer on every song
While you’re right, Blink fans know exactly who he means 😂
My guy, you really need to listen to Dude Ranch.
I second this! Awesome skate punk even though Travis isn't on it, it's still really fun
i third this
Can we talk about how Mark always does high octaves on the bass to pronunciate the bass notes? Clever and kick ass.
Mutt is such a throwback man. That scene where Jim runs down the street, it's so 90s teen comedy.
Yeah adams song is phenomenal.
This was so awesome to watch. Getting to see Mutt being appreciated to such a degree was great. My favorite song on the album
I feel young every time I listen to this album....im 53.
What’s my age again? Is the perfect pop punk song
Dude I just SCREAMED when you paused Dumpweed a minute into it hahahaha
Well im officially a fan of Joyce Manor. And as inspiration of your videos sir im going to go back and listen to bands i hated in my youth. Hopefully i can give them another chance
I think a big part of the problem with people not liking them is...All The Small Things.
A lot of people I know that don't like them, always refer to that song. I think it's because that's the one that went mainstream. The one that was overplayed at the time.
In a similar way to Kings of Leons' Sex On Fire, it's not even close to being their best song.
Waiting for the next album! Keep going!
This album was fucking massive but they have bangers off every album.
You have to give credit where it is due no matter who it is and how you feel about them or else you are ripping yourself off. You will feel better about yourself and be a big step closer to being a truly honest person. Not lying to yourself or others is easy I swear.
Their top 1 album honestly. But you should listen to Self-titled. It's really peak of their music maturing.
Thanks.
P.s. that is a sick converge shirt!
the fact that you keep talking about tom’s exaggerated “blink voice” but then said mark did it on going away to college 😂😂
You've earned yourself a sub. Good shit.
Travis was advised to join these guys after the aquabats by former band mate's knew they were gong to be huge
I also think you should go listen to all Blink pre-Enema. I'd LOVE to see your reaction to the song Sometimes.
You seriously should do a reaction to some other albums from blink too! Untitled and Take off your Pants and Jacket are incredible
When you said you have heard Mutt before I can almost guarantee you recognize it from American Pie.
glad you are enjoying it! should do an album reaction to Take your pants off and Jacket another solid album from them.
