Thanks for keeping these up. I have really enjoyed your videos since I have been pretty incapacitated with back surgeries etc. last 3 years. Finally ready to get back to it. Keep up all you do
yeah, totally justified. I once did a similar thing when I was the only one fishing on a medium sized lake, another boat came into view, came up and started fishing 75 feet from me. Asked me how the fishing was and I said what you said. And like you, felt guilty for saying what I felt. (but also not). That was at least 10 years ago, still recall it occasionally, have not had occasion to say it since. I guess some people are just clueless. Whatta ya gonna do? And, great video, loved the slot canyons, not sure I would have gone wading, but glad you did. Thanks for all the suffering and sharing...
We had something kinda like that happen over by Capitol Reef one afternoon when a car and camper pulled in about 200 ft. away and just down hill from us when we were the only campers around for miles. I went over to talk to them to make sure they saw us and to point them to some other camps farther away. They got really snarky so I retreated to our truck and trailer. The 4 of them (older folks like me) got into the car and left. I thought they went to scout another camp but must have driven into town to eat. Anyway after several hours we decided to move since it appeared they weren't going to. We left them a somewhat nasty note. Upon reflection I think some "city" folks just don't understand the Idea of personal space and dispersed camping that we westerners take for granted. We are like you and like to be way off by ourselves, not hearing any human made sounds as we are there for the quiet solitude. This story gets more interesting; we ended up in a really remote area half way over to the Henry's and in the middle of the night a lost dog scared the crap out of me when I got up to pee. Come daylight several emergency vehicles flew by on the main road. Turns out a young woman flipped her car and was killed several miles away. We only found out the whole story when we took the dog into the ranger station in Bullfrog. I am not sure the dog would have survived or been found by anyone else.
If you haven’t already, I highly suggest taking a firearms class, obtaining your ccw AND carry insurance such as USCCA. We must be our own first responders. All the best. -William
Lol. I thought you were passive. It's cool to see that side of you. I don't hate people but I do love getting out by myself, and conversate with creation.
Not a jerk. I hate it when someone camps in the next spot over at an established campground! Thanks for taking us along through the slot canyons. I'm not sure I could do that, but the view was awesome.
You did what I wouldn’t have the nerve to do, when those oblivious people showed up. When you went through that cold water, I thought *I* was gonna get hypothermia! Those marble things: I have never heard of nor seen anything like those! I’m really enjoying your videos.
No Jerk! Absolutely right to "educate" them. As politely as you can, hopefully, And yes, I would have some kind of concealed weapon handy just in case it all goes South. You have GREAT videos, and we appreciate these - your gifts!
LOL this happened to me and my dad. We were in about 5 miles on a 23 mile hike on the Coast near La Push Wa. Two young super nice guys came along and pitched their tent not 20 feet behind ours. I said the same thing you said to them. They apologised but it was getting right near sunset and not safe to keep going. So they stayed the night but damn I was not happy. They were on the same hike and had 23 miles to find a camp spot but piled in on top of us.
That's hilarious. I'm glad you yelled at them. I've had that happen too while camping but I could never yell at the people. I don't think you were a jerk at all. edit: I was thinking the exact same thing when you were walking through the slot canyon water. I'm glad you said that.
I enjoy watching your videos, We don't see places like that in Florida. We were in Utah last summer, Zion, Bryce and Capital Reef they were a feast for our eyes. We'll be heading back that way in Aug. Keep up the great work!
The Utah national parks really are amazing and worth visiting over and over again. I'm happy that you liked them. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Absolutely!! People don’t realize, I’ve had a van park me in already... but she was not nice about it either. I don’t think I was a jerk, I was so nice about it... and I don’t think you were either. That’s not unreasonable whatsoever of you. But I also realize people don’t mean to sometimes. This is a really cool walk you take us on. ...and the geology, so cool! Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to do THE WAVE.
Huh, that's weird that she parked in front of you. Too bad she wasn't nice about it. I actually haven't gotten around to do The Wave yet, but it looks awesome. You'll have a great time!
Wonderful that you saw those slot canyons by yourself. When I went, there were people coming and going. Sort of nice to have others around when going through the slots the first time, they seemed a little dicey. I'm not sure that Zebra and Tunnel ever dry out. I went at the end of the "dry summer" of 2020, and there was still water in Zebra slot. I didn't see Tunnel slot, but that one tends to have more water.
You weren't the jerk they were for making all the noise. Same problem on the AT, people came into a shelter when all are trying to sleep and they start making all kinds of noise.
That’s crazy that they would pick that spot so close to you! Not a jerk at all to yell at them. At least they got the point. And didn’t murder you 😳😁 That’s a win, win!
..you have to consider different people's frame of references...some poeple might consider 'camping' to mean right next to someone else...for safety or comfort level or whatever...I certainly don't assume someone is being hostile or rude or anything else based solely on the fact they plopped themself right next to me..even in the middle of nowhere.....
I recently found your videos & enjoy them. I first visited Utah in the early 1980's and have been back many times. Camped a lot in my earlier years but now go the motel route and do day hikes. Few comments: 1. Maybe you were being just a bit of a jerk but justified when you found out they were in middle of a dirt road. 2. Your other video on Devil's Garden is spot on...a bit further and you would have found a wash which is a great route. 3. For coffees lovers, Kiva Koffeehouse just east of Escalante is a great stop (April to Oct.only). 4. About 10 or 11 miles along Burr Trail from Boulder there is a short slot canyon on left side of Long's canyon. Not as impressive as Zebra slot but still worth it. 71 years young and still exploring.. Bob from Pa.
That would have made me nervous bad. So I would have done the same thing! I love the free roaming at times, I never seen barriers like those, maybe they are keeping cattle out so no poo is in there or hurt trapped animals. Do you even feel like you might get crushed? I love the way it looks! Not sure I would like to be alone though. Walking in the water also made me nervous. Lol. Do you think there maybe a big hole ? You are to brave dear one lol. If I was your sister I would say don’t go alone........glad you are back safe and sound. Thank you for sharing! Loved it. It became my adventure also. 🚣♂️
Lol it didn't make me nervous, just angry. I think the barrier was there to both keep cattle out but also let water flow through the wash. No, I never felt like I might get crushed. The rock's been there for thousands of years, and the odds of it collapsing or moving right as I walk through it are basically nil. Thanks Chris Tina :)
How cool this canyon spots! I won't have gut to wade through waist high mud water, don't kNow what in the water!! Remember around 2008 or 2009, there was a guy stuck by falling rock in that area and knife off his own arm saving his life finally. I had been shocked several years after for that story. Now in June temperature there already shoot high up near 100 degree. Probably May or September would best month to visit there. Thank you for sharing your joyous experience. Always bring my solitude memory back to southwest desert.
Yep, I remember the guy who had to cut off his arm. (It was in 2003, by the way.) Crazy. I'd say the best times are probably April and October. Thanks for watching!
I thought you had every right to speak up. The slot canyons were great. Looked like a great hike. Water would have been a little concerning. What do reckon are inside the marbles? Great video, looking forward to the next one. Hope the wedding went well. Davin
I showed the inside of the marbles in one of the previous videos. Basically it's compacted sand. And then there's that hard outer layer of the darker rock on the outside. And yep, the wedding and honeymoon went great! :) Thanks Davin.
No! You weren't being a jerk. People are rude, uncaring, unthinking today in life, I saw me in you with you're response, you used respect, but stood up for yourself ! But on the same hand be careful! Many people packing weapons now day's- guns. Nutty world we're in Tristan. God bless you, great video also, but don't wade in belly deep water for us peeps, and yes in that situation I would think of tentacle creature of star Wars😊😃 and desert part of the sand people😉😄
I don't worry about people with guns. I'm not going to get shot for telling someone to move to a different campsite. It's not in their interest to kill someone over a campsite and spend the rest of their lives in jail. But if they'd sounded drunk, hostile, or otherwise crazy (instead of just ignorant), I'd probably have moved. Guns or not, I don't want to be around someone like that.
SUV RVing I understand you not wanting to be around people like that, you should be concerned friend, you're way out in isolated location, no witnesses, and yelling back at annoying people, on the news a man out camping with his two kid's was shot and killed for nothing!? U was just concerned for you as a person, I'm a Christian and care about folk's, please be careful out, like I previously said we're in a nutty world as you see everyday on local and national News casts. I'm for you! Not against you ! Hope you see what in trying to say, you're friend viewer Dave, I know we haven't personally met, and may never, but have gotten to know you through you're films God bless you!
What time of the year weather wise would you recommend as the best time to visit the Capital Reef and Burr Trail area of Utah? I am looking for decent seasonable weather but without the greatest amount of heat or crowds.
Your lack of fear of heights has given me heart failure just watching more than once since I began watching your videos! 😂 I can't help wondering where the people selling moki marbles online got them? 🤔 Nah! I'm being paranoid and unfair, right?!? I couldn't help laughing when you went through the deep mucky water 😂
It could have been worse.....those people could have had a bunch of screaming children. LOL No, you were not being a jerk. Maybe they were new to camping and were a bit afraid to camp alone? Anyway, I would never camp close to someone so I understand where you are coming from. Loved the slot canyons but not all the water. I would have been afraid of quicksand or creatures that pull you under. LOL Thanks for sharing!
You weren’t being a jerk at all. I’ve been following your channel for awhile now and being a jerk is just not in your nature. You handled that situation perfectly. Gotta stand your ground sometimes and they were lucky you weren’t a whacko. You may have taught them a valuable lesson. Good job!! By the way, does your fiancé freak out when she watches some of your videos? Wow that was an incredible video and a little stressful to watch. Stay safe🌞😀
Thanks for the kind words, Eddy. I don't think my fiancee (now wife) freaks out too much when she watches the videos. Usually we watch them together, so she knows I made it out alive :)
People can be inconsiderate, so no you weren't being a jerk. They were. I've decided most people are extroverts, and their capacity to understanding of wanting to be alone is nil. They can really intrude, and there's just no easy way of telling them to scram. Another beautiful and interesting video. Thanks!
If these were the campsites just a bit down hole-in-the-rock road on the right (guessing this because you went to Zebra slot the next morning, and the video kind of looks like those sites), this is pretty typical for those spots. They tend to be quite crowded and competitive, because of the variety of beginner-friendly adventures that start from the HITR road, the proximity to Escalante, and the fact that cell service is available there and its not if you drive much further. Still really inconsiderate of the other camper, but I've run into that many times at those campsites, they are just a magnet for campers exploring the monument
I just did zebra Canyon with my three year old daughter and she was able to climb up that back section with a little assistance. It didn’t go anywhere and dead ended immediately at a pothole.
Found it. 👍 Nope, perfectly acceptable. I had a couple in a beat up van pull up to a roadside site I was occupying in Pisgah National Forest and set up camp. We exchanged words and I ended up moving along. Had a guy pull up to my site in Pikes Peak National Forest off of rampart range rd in an RV with a trailer of ATV' it was 11am and I was sleeping as I had been up all night shooting Astro. People generally suck I have found.
I feel it was a perfectly reasonable response. Common sense is not nearly as common as those that possess it would like to believe. I wouldn't want to camp near someone else, so why would others?
Have you ever watched the movie Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, there is a part where Kumar needs to take a pee and he is in the middle of the woods with nothing around and he starts to pee, out of no wear some guy comes and starts peeing next to him. The campers that parked next to you reminded me of that seen, ha ha so funny
From a Google search: "Moqui marbles are small, brownish-black balls composed of iron oxide and sandstone that formed underground when iron minerals precipitated from flowing groundwater."
As a victim of- why- wont- you- leave- me -alone- and -find -your- own- spot, i totally relate and agree with you. You were assertive. a jerk is rude and usually in the wrong. i have degree in psych and i am in mental health and the only options that i find to explain this behavior away is that people w/o boundaries feel drawn to those of us who have them. those are the same kinds of people who let their dog loose to come harass you and when you tell them, no my dog doesn't want to play with your dog, get mad and insult you lol ...
No I don't think you were being a jerk, sometimes I wish I could do something like that, but as a woman, it's best to not cause waves, especially in the middle of nowhere. Did you look and gauge them before you told them to go away? How many of them were there? I always assume people are crazy and have guns and stuff. My solution probably would be to drive away myself.
Funny, I always assume that people are good. In this case, I just assumed that they were good but ignorant. I've never had any run-in with "dangerous" people out in the middle of nowhere, and I had no reason to believe these people were.
no, you weren’t being a jerk. I think you have the right idea....some people just want to be around other people....those people should stay in campgrounds!
Maybe the other campers were new at this and they figured that there is safety in numbers, just a thought! I have a question why did you take your back pack and drop it over the fence then crawl under why not just push it under and then crawl under?
Just a tiny jerk while the others were major jerks. Even with your vehicle being dark there are still reflectors on the vehicle so they should have seen yours.
Do you do anything special to take care of your feet? After all, they certainly take care of you getting you where you want to go. ;) What was the temp there?
..'75 feet' away is 'all over his house and stuff? We live in a society nowadays that's waaay too easily offended and almost desperately looking for a reason to be offended...
That's a good question. Could just be snowmelt from the winter. But I'm not sure how we'd figure that out one way or the other without visiting often. Thanks William.
I have no problem with people camping close to other campers as long as both parties agree on it. But to just pull up right next to someone in the wilderness and assume they want to be buddy-buddy is not the right move. Thanks for watching, Stan.
You are NOT a jerk. THEY were weird, rude, and increadable stupid. You feel the same way I do about getting away from people. You seem pleasant and fairly sociable, but want your peace and solitude. That is why one seeks out places like you do. You are tired of in your face people, as our society has become. Yes,you are right. You are not a jerk
They probably wanted to steal your boat in the middle of the night and were gauging your response to their noise to see if you were passive, aggressive, passive aggressive, etc. Good thing you ran them off. Who drives up and sets up camp that late at night?
No, I don't think that was the reason. People set up camp at night all the time. You get off work, get ready, leave home at 6, drive four hours, and arrive at 10. That wasn't the weird part. The weird part was that they were so close and loud.
Old video but - people are disappointingly rude. Like you, I'm out there to be alone, not camped right next to someone. When I was traveling with my wife, the same thing happened and I realized that I needed to be armed in order to protect my family. It was perfectly clear that I was unable to do that without an equalizer. Hate me if you must, don't care.
People are being brought up to be self-centered. One just has to be considerate of ohers. It doesn't cost anything! If I was in Texas, I would have been afraid to say something :(
..I don't think you were being a jerk Tristan..maybe 8 out of 10 people would have been annoyed in a similiar situation...I may have been...but it occurs to me that maybe at least on a subconscious level people want to gravitate to others when they're out in the middle of nowhere...maybe they liked you...just because others do things that we wouldn't doesn't make for a hostile situation...I don't think I would have yelled anything out to them...maybe walked over there and said hi, then proceeded to ask them why, etc...
Gravitating toward others is one thing, but being loud and inconsiderate is another. As I said in the video, I would have been annoyed if they'd camped so close to me and not made much noise, but I wouldn't have bothered them about it.
Newbies who feel more comfortable when camped near others? Maybe they were in need of some socializing and hoped you'd be hospitable? Nobody starts out knowing the right etiquette. I'd like to hope that when I finally get on the road I'll instinctively know what to do/not do. I guess maybe think about how to educate as opposed to experiencing irritation? Just for your own sake? Well, for the newbies' sake, too. Looks like you changed shoes between the first slot canyon and the next part of your hike? You are definitely made of sterner stuff than I am. The solitude combined with even a low level of risk would be too much for me.
I don't buy it. It's not about "knowing instinctively what to do," it's about being considerate of others, regardless of the location. It's the same as being a loud, obnoxious neighbor anywhere. Like I said, if they'd just shown up and been quiet and respectful, I wouldn't have liked it, but I wouldn't have driven them off. I haven't rewatched the video to check, but I don't think I changed my shoes... Pretty sure I was wearing the same pair the whole day. Thanks Kathryn!
SUV RVing Considering how careful you are to be camped remotely, I guess that just to have been in the same location they couldn't be too terribly new to it. Yes, being noisy in an environment so conducive to solitude is just brash and thoughtless.
Thanks for keeping these up. I have really enjoyed your videos since I have been pretty incapacitated with back surgeries etc. last 3 years. Finally ready to get back to it. Keep up all you do
You're an inspiration Tristan
If you get off the sofa, adventure awaits.
Let go!

It's like that person that stands next to you in a line of empty urinals. Beautiful slot canyons. Love the gems you find!
Lol exactly! Thanks for watching.
That was one of your best vids…I too am fascinated by slot canyons

Amazing footage. Amazing video. Amazing courage and determination to explore that canyon. Loved it. Hats off to you Tristan.
Thanks Karen ☺️
Lol. I thought you were passive. It's cool to see that side of you. I don't hate people but I do love getting out by myself, and conversate with creation.
That slot canyon was insane!👀
Not a jerk. I hate it when someone camps in the next spot over at an established campground! Thanks for taking us along through the slot canyons. I'm not sure I could do that, but the view was awesome.
Thanks Cara! I understand that the slots aren't for everyone, but I really enjoyed them.
Thanks for sharing. What an adventurer going into that yucky water. The surroundings were really cool but the water, not so much!
Debbie M IKR!?! I can’t see the bottom, plus cold! Brrr...
Wow a new level of intrepidness, much respect Mr T💪🏻
You did what I wouldn’t have the nerve to do, when those oblivious people showed up. When you went through that cold water, I thought *I* was gonna get hypothermia! Those marble things: I have never heard of nor seen anything like those! I’m really enjoying your videos.
Lol... I don't even like for people to park next to me at Walmart... I always choose a spot far from the door. I love my space...

I had no problem with walking in the water. It was cold, but I thought it was really cool :)

Thanks! It was a ton of fun :)

It wasn't so bad here. The path was fairly obvious.
Beautiful nature
Yes it is.
No you was not being a jerk you did the right thing please be safe out there
Thanks for taking my side :) Thanks Cheryl!
Much enjoyed... Thumbs up...
Thanks!
You better go to peekaboo and spooky! Hole in the rock is amazing 🙌🏻 keep up the good work!
They're on the list!
So cool!
Thanks Christina!
Maybe those smaller moqui marbles fell off another explorer in that freezing water! 🥶
I thought you had every right to speak up. The slot canyons were great. Looked like a great hike. Water would have been a little concerning. What do reckon are inside the marbles? Great video, looking forward to the next one. Hope the wedding went well. Davin

Your response was perfect. People should have to pass an emotional quotient and do-you-have-common-sense test before going camping.
No! You weren't being a jerk. People are rude, uncaring, unthinking today in life, I saw me in you with you're response, you used respect, but stood up for yourself ! But on the same hand be careful! Hope you see what in trying to say, you're friend viewer Dave, I know we haven't personally met, and may never, but have gotten to know you through you're films God bless you!
SUV RVing sorry I meant I not u , keys are right next to one another, I have vision problems 😊🙏👍
Great video. I was wondering what time of year did you go? I'm going in a couple weeks and was wondering if there's still water at this time?
I was there at the end of March. I don't think there's still water there. Not in Zebra, anyway. I don't know about The Tunnel.
I can't help wondering where the people selling moki marbles online got them?
Yeah, maybe they were just new to camping. I don't know. But I'm glad they didn't stick around! Thanks Carol.
lol and barking dogs...
Loved the zebra slot canyon especially.
Syk, as the water depth climbed from crotch to bellybutton, we found we were holding our breath!
Love the slot canyons. What are motley marbles?
Look up moqui marbles, and you'll find more info than anything I can say. Thanks for watching, Dale.
@@SUVRVing : I did look them up and understand now. Always more instructional to look up info yourself...lol
And anything I could say would just be copied and pasted from another website anyway ☺️
People can be inconsiderate, so no you weren't being a jerk. They were. I've decided most people are extroverts, and their capacity to understanding of wanting to be alone is nil. They can really intrude, and there's just no easy way of telling them to scram. Another beautiful and interesting video. Thanks!
Yeah, I wish I knew what on earth they were thinking. Oh well. All's well that ends well!
..I wouldn't in my wildest dreams even think of telling a fellow human being to 'scram'...
I wouldn't either Robert.
During your water walk, did you have any concerns about stepping into a pothole?
Glen Faught Jr I thought the same thing.
No I didn't. These are fairly well-known canyons, so I wasn't too concerned about something unexpected happening under me. Thanks Glen.
I like your hat
Thanks. It looks goofy, but it's great for keeping the sun off of me.
Nope, this wasn't there. This was pretty far off the main drag
I just did zebra Canyon with my three year old daughter and she was able to climb up that back section with a little assistance. It didn’t go anywhere and dead ended immediately at a pothole.
Good to know. Thanks Keith!
How do you find all the cool areas you visit? Internet search? Or books? Very curious how I can start looking for adventures too!
Books, websites, other people's videos, blogs, magazines, maps. I'm basically always looking for stuff to see and do.
I feel it was a perfectly reasonable response. Common sense is not nearly as common as those that possess it would like to believe. I wouldn't want to camp near someone else, so why would others?
Don Yates not sure, but we’ve had a few “close encounters”
"Common sense is not nearly as common as those that possess it would like to believe." Amen! Thanks Don.
What kinda of Cooler Tristan?
How are those moji marbles formed?
Have you ever watched the movie Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, there is a part where Kumar needs to take a pee and he is in the middle of the woods with nothing around and he starts to pee, out of no wear some guy comes and starts peeing next to him. The campers that parked next to you reminded me of that seen, ha ha so funny
Nope, I haven't seen that, but yep, that's the perfect analogy!
I’m staying in devils garden in August of this year
Awesome. That's a beautiful area. You'll have a great time.
Did you see 127 Hours? Stay safe. Nancy
This happens all the time- I find a beautiful spot, not a soul for miles- then a touron sets up camp right next to me.
Security. It's like ice fishing, people have the hole lake but chose to fish next to each other. If one person is fishing there then the ice is safe.
What are the marbles made out of?
Huh, that's interesting. Yeah, it really was bizarre. Thanks for the insight!
When did you purchase your cooler because I just looked it up and it’s not $49; it is $55.98
Thanks
I bought it a year or so ago, I think.
No I don't think you were being a jerk, sometimes I wish I could do something like that, but as a woman, it's best to not cause waves, especially in the middle of nowhere. Did you look and gauge them before you told them to go away? How many of them were there? I always assume people are crazy and have guns and stuff. My solution probably would be to drive away myself.
taney stunai to an extent I agree, but by the same token, I feel we have to stand our ground sooner than later... be safe and happy trails❤️
Funny, I always assume that people are good. In this case, I just assumed that they were good but ignorant. I've never had any run-in with "dangerous" people out in the middle of nowhere, and I had no reason to believe these people were.
majority of people who own guns are not "crazy".
I didn't say that, I said crazy and have guns, which is a bad combo.
@@chevyvantravel9735
Exactly
I would worry about the possibility of quicksand. Any thoughts? Or snakes in the water.
The water was way too cold for snakes. And nah, I'm not worried about quicksand.
no, you weren’t being a jerk. I think you have the right idea....some people just want to be around other people....those people should stay in campgrounds!
Well 10 o’clock…dark and you were in stealth mode in your suv, so I can see how it happened…they were unaware
where is that solar electric blanket when you need it ....:>)
Sitting on a store shelf somewhere because my solar setup isn't powerful enough to run it :)
Maybe the other campers were new at this and they figured that there is safety in numbers, just a thought!
I have a question why did you take your back pack and drop it over the fence then crawl under why not just push it under and then crawl under?
Hmm, that could be. Not sure why I took the pack off and dropped it over the fence. Just seemed like the easiest thing to do at the time. Thanks Greg.
...my thought exacly Greg @ the strength in numbers...
At night always leave a light on so those Intruders will stay away.. .
You weren't being a jerk.
Just a tiny jerk while the others were major jerks. Even with your vehicle being dark there are still reflectors on the vehicle so they should have seen yours.
Lol, I'm OK with being a jerk. I'd rather be a jerk than have people camped close to me! Thanks Jeffrey.
Always keep pepper spray near you during night.
I have bear spray in my car.
I see that also fits in your shoulder pouch. 😉👍
Do you do anything special to take care of your feet? After all, they certainly take care of you getting you where you want to go. ;) What was the temp there?
Nope, nothing special. Just good hiking shoes that fit well. I don't remember what the temp was, sorry!
sometimes people do that because of their own insecurity and they were afraid in the middle of the night when they find someone so they feel secure .
Why are you in that nasty water?! That made me wanna lose my lunch. Glad you didnt get sick.
Not a jerk. But I am claustrophobic just watching but it was beautiful
Yeah, that's definitely not the right kind of spot for claustrophobic people, but I really enjoyed it :) Thanks Karole.
You were not being a jerk.
THEY were jerks! Why were they all over your 'house' and your stuff? Glad you did that
Yeah, it was weird. I'm glad you think so too. Thanks for watching!
..'75 feet' away is 'all over his house and stuff? We live in a society nowadays that's waaay too easily offended and almost desperately looking for a reason to be offended...
Be interesting to know if the water is what remains of a flash flood.
That's a good question. Could just be snowmelt from the winter. But I'm not sure how we'd figure that out one way or the other without visiting often. Thanks William.
I know this was 6 yrs ago, but I’m just seeing it.
No, you were not a jerk telling the people to park elsewhere.
Not a jerk at all. Even if you love other campers, 75 feet away?! I don't camp ANYWHERE 75 feet apart.
Believe it or not , people feel better being close to other campers . Probably a defense mechanism from our past .
I have no problem with people camping close to other campers as long as both parties agree on it. But to just pull up right next to someone in the wilderness and assume they want to be buddy-buddy is not the right move. Thanks for watching, Stan.
of course youve seen the movie 127 hours lol
Yep!
I like your hat. I do not like wearing neck gaiters.
The hat looks goofy, but it's awesome. It's the OR Sun Runner hat. I love it.
SUV RVing Thanks!
Wish you would take someone with you in case you need help
What is the Name ?
People are being brought up to be self-centered. One just has to be considerate of ohers. It doesn't cost anything! If I was in Texas, I would have been afraid to say something :(
I believe that people everywhere are good, just sometimes ignorant. People are very rarely looking for trouble.
Ear plugs
I don't think you were being a jerk, but I'll bet they thought you were crazy for yelling at them which is why they left, lol.
I think you're right! But hey, as long as they left, I don't care what the reason was :)
..I don't think you were being a jerk Tristan..maybe 8 out of 10 people would have been annoyed in a similiar situation...I may have been...but it occurs to me that maybe at least on a subconscious level people want to gravitate to others when they're out in the middle of nowhere...maybe they liked you...just because others do things that we wouldn't doesn't make for a hostile situation...I don't think I would have yelled anything out to them...maybe walked over there and said hi, then proceeded to ask them why, etc...
SUV RVing Yes, I see as you're crawling under the fence, same shoes.
check out slim potatohead channel hes good too
Thanks, I'll check him out.
Hope those people didn’t get your LP #
