I turned 21 in 79 so I got to experience the 70's & the 80's music up close. My ex was a drummer in a rock & roll band...lol sounds like lyrics to a song. I love Billy Squier's music, I'm a huge fan.

Reminds me of when my mom was Still here. We blasted his music in my mom's house. Grew up 4 sisters and 1 brother. Miss my mom she passed from the beast! Breast cancer. She was only 50. I was 14. I still blast Squier! Be proud if you still have your parents. ❤️ I am now 52. Been through 2 boyfriend deaths. My heart is strong 💕

@@gr1371 ... I had the gd luck to see him play a lot... before he went w Squire he played in a band called Gypsy a funk, rock, jazz band, incredible. I followed him through Ave Blue and beyond and had a chance to meet him after a show a few years before he passed... great guy and a player I’ve learned a lot from.

I had a '77 Olds Cutlass with Craig stereo and a equalizer hooked up to 2, 200 watt Jenson speakers. This had a cassette tape deck. I would also blast this song. I wanna go back to the 80s. Mustangs are my favorite car. If I had the money and could find one, I would have a 1969 Boss 429 N.A.S.C.A.R. version. Last I checked the price was anywhere from $50,000.00 to $80.000.00, which I don't have. Its nice to dream though.

Great comment...you're right. Being one myself I can say it would be hard to lay back and play these correctly live...he makes them groove and doesn't let the adrenaline cause rushing. Hard to do live, great player!!

1984 was such a crazy year for music; everybody was EXPLODING onto the scene, Springsteen, Madonna, Lionel, Police, and Van Halen. Such a seminal time in music, a real watershed moment in American Rock History.
