I think he's said it before actually. That's why he didn't even contemplate reviewing the PS4 release until a few internet comments apparently sparked him to put his two cents on the subject.
Shadow of the Colossus is a game I feel everyone should try at some point. You may not like it, and that's ok, but it's an experience you'll likely never get anywhere else. It has aged poorly in some ways and many games have popped up in it's formerly unique niche, but it's still one of a kind. Pretty much any other Team Ico game falls into that category of recommendation, but SOTC is possibly the most interesting and approachable (Ico being a bit plain and TLG being a frustrating technical clusterfuck at times).
Brainstorm 101 Eh I forgive him. Caddy isn't one to constantly clickbait. And he's gotta do SOMETHING to get people to watch the vid. Why would someone who loves the game watch a video of someone jizzing their pants at every aspect? There are already thousands of videos and reviews doing that.
Pelagia, I do believe, he can be quite dumb, when it comes to the most irritating one is needs be Phaedra (4th Colussus), goddamn stupid horse, it sometimes took me 20mins to get her to follow her own defeating strategy.
It's because it does what only video games can do as interactive media. It has as little dialogue as possible, it doesn't even tell us Wander's name, we found that through stuff manuals and interviews. Or it might be in the credits, but still. You explore the world and see things, like in one of the smaller colossi's arena, the one that's called a lion (though I think it looks more like a boar) it's a clearly man made location. Certain details are revealed to you, or clearly showed to you for you to interpret, through seeing the world. Another part of that interactivity is how many of the colossi won't attack you until you attack them, you can just stand there and wait. When you fight the last Colossus, if you just wait on its hand long enough, its eyes will change from violent/angry orange to the docile blue. It just looks at you curiously. This Colossus is called Malace and it's possible to see that it's not completely evil.
Grave of the Fireflies is anything but a "fun" movie, and thus it's not for everyone. Nonetheless, it is a damn good movie, and this game (from what I've seen and heard, as I've never actually owned a PlayStation to play it on) is much the same.
I love how this game messes with your emotions without even telling a story. It literally is you learning and your actions that causes you to feel that way.
I never played this as a kid (never had a PS2) but bought this remake because it just looked so magical... and it didn't disappoint. I agree, it does feel clunky and definitely isn't a game for everyone, but I loved it.
Strangely enough on the back of the PS4 remaster box it says “explore forbidden lands on a quest to bring your love back to life” but in game they never say, and I can’t find any other version of the game that says she’s your love
This is really good timing because just yesterday I -made- encouraged my little sister to give this game a try. She doesn't play a lot of games, doesn't have the patience for most of them, but she's really enjoying it. She's on boss 12 right now, and I'm honestly impressed that she hasn't needed that much help. I basically had to go full drill sergeant to get her past Celosia, but other than that she's been doing fine. I think my favorite moment was walking into Dirge's arena. As soon as she saw him, she paused the game and changed her Instagram name to Dirge, with the profile "I am Dirge." And when she died to him, she took a picture of the game over screen and set that to her profile. It was great
I still can't believe that they did this it looks as good as last guardian and plays even better it is everything we ever wanted from a game we never thought would get remade
I'm getting the impression that the people who didn't enjoy Shadow of the Colossus are probably the same people that didn't enjoy the Bladerunner movies because they were "slow". Their opinions aren't wrong, but their not objective enough to prevent me from enjoying these works myself.
I actually really like Colossus 15, it's probably alongside 13 as my favourite. It feels like Colossus 1 but scaled for end-game grip. Though I am aware that I'm in the minority opinion. But then again I love all the colossi except for 4, 9, and 10. 10 is because it's terrifying and I'll admit to it. 4 and 9 because the fact that you have to use the environment means the AI can fuck off whenever it decides to get bored. Also, exclusive to this remake, Colossus 11 can fuck off. The physics engine for that fight is awful.
I disagree with that. From my own experience, going in blind is the best way to experience any story-driven game, and especially one like this that might only hold your attention for one playthrough due to how it's built. I'm bracing myself for that this might be a troll of some kind, and I'm being baited into a pointless argument, but I can't dismiss the possibility that there might be people who do spoil themselves for whatever reason before going into things, even if I personally don't see the point or appeal of doing so. However, the ambiguity is strong enough that I feel like giving my two cents, and here they are. Worst case scenario I've written a few sentences about something I'm passionate about, so whatever.
loved this video but one thing, does caddy know you can just get the 15th coli to hand strike you to get on his hand instead of trying to scale down from the head?
Never felt regret killing these things. Maybe it’s because the game gives so little context, I never thought I was doing something wrong fighting them. I mean, I’m so used to games teaching me to be the good-guy and fight villains that I immediately assumed that was what’s going on here. The game makes it so spectacular and fun to fight them, there never was a “what am I doing” sense of morality to it.
Can we acknowledge how unncessily defensive people get concerning this game when someone else doesn’t like it? I mean yikes, say one remotely bad thing about the game and fans will immediately say your opinion is somehow invalid or even send death threats. It’s like the precursor to Sonic Mania. I mean if you love the game good for you, but no need to get angry and outright abusive when someone else doesn't share your opinion.
What if the humans split dormin's soul into those colossal creatures for the sake of keeping him seald and by killing them you are releasing him from his cage, the black blood is no blood at all, but dormin's shadow. Therfore the game is called: shadow of the colossus, the colossus being dormin.
That awesome moment when Caddy uploads a video on your actual birthday. Thanks, mate! As for this video's content, I'll have to come back to it later because somehow I never played this when I owned a ps2. I'm hoping to give it a go on my ps4 soon.
I never played the game but I saw the Game grumps and Jacksepticeye's playthroughs of the game. The first version and the updated version. I love the game solely based on the art style. Jesus Christ these monsters look so majestic and beautiful in the updated version. They looked fine in the first version but look more life like in the new version.
Such a beautiful review/rant Caddi’!!! I felt the same thing about Dormins unjust imprisonment and the humble sad story behind Wander. Loved this video
I think it's good that you're killing the colossi to return them back into the one being they once where. Knowing that you're freeing a deity that was captured for seemingly no reason and with no evil intent and that these creatures souls are just pieces to form a greater soul so they continue living makes the hunting down of these souls more heroic to me now more than depressing especially as you near the end of the game.
I've always wanted to play this game :D I seriously need to get the Remaster on Ps4, it's so damn beautiful, plus for £30 it's a bargain for a full length game :P
Sometimes a movie or a game doesn't have to please certain norms to be good and the triad of games from team ICO is just that. Yeah, they had to compensate and focus on other aspects and convey to the player why they turned their back to the contemporary gameplay conveniences in order to create a more believable world, but that takes mastery. Still, it's a game that's not for everybody who wants a game that doesn't get on the way of its objectives. Much like Hellblade is getting its narrative to intersect its gameplay mechanics to tell a tale that's difficult, even nausiating to stomach. And that's okay. We NEED that sort of games. People may not play them as much, but there are people to keep this type of games afloat and going and certain elements just trascend to other types of games and enrich the experiences the industry could give to the audience. Which is always a good thing!
Love the ambiguity of this game. It's open to interpretationt too. Excellent soundtrack is used strikingly during boss encounters. I know some will say "sort of a pretentious artsy game" but I like the originality and subtlety.
I played the PS2 version originally, but not when it was new. I found it in a bargain bin at Kmart after I got a PS3, and still found it super impressive. I've actually come across people who didn't realize the PS3 version was a remaster of a PS2 game, and I think that speaks highly to it's quality.
Loved colossus but I’ll say it, I hated the ending, a lot. On any subsequent playthroughs I ever did I just turn the power off when the last colossus dies, imagine a joyful reunion between Wander and his love, and forget about he actual ending entirely.
Khalith Just finished it today, and I feel the same. I get that not every story needs a happy ending and all that, but it just felt depressing, and I hated how it just introduced a bunch of characters to serve as one final bit of conflict. Hell, during the credits sequence when we see them riding across the collapsing bridge, I was kinda hoping they wouldn't be fast enough and fall to their deaths. Well, at least Mono is alive, so the whole thing wasn't completely pointless. Still, that ending just pisses me off.
I tried to like SoC, I really did but for me personally I need more in the world than head to next boss, climb and stab is just too repetitive for me. It looks beautiful but just feels too shallow for me. But I can see why it is loved by people.
I played the game for the first time with this remake. The story is neat, but FUCK is it frustrating to play. I was kicking and screaming the whole way though
I dunno I still don't really like some of the design decisions that came with the visual overhaul. I think I'd stick with the original or the PS3 version.
This game has been visually stunning on all platforms, this version in particular takes my breath away. But oh man, the sound design in the PS4 version is bad. The soundtrack is far too quiet, and so many sound effects have been altered or replaced.
I always thought the story was just anology to your time growing up at school, where the diety guiding you was the only person you could seemingly trust, and the colossi are just the enormous standards that needed to be met. When you completed the task at hand, what was your reward at the end? SELF-DOUBT.
One big theory of the origins of Dormin: Huge spoilers! The bad demon who was the "sphere boss" in the Last Guardian is regarded as the true form of Dormin...After defeating him he was scattered and sealed away in the forbidden land , which makes The Last Guardian the 1st game in the storyline...
Also it’s because dormin was a demon and caused havoc across the world and the reason they split up the should is because they are meant to keep dormin split up and most of the collisions are just meant to exist to keep dormin dead so he doesn’t cause havoc again becaus everyone knows that demons are good according to caddy right?
Let's see if i remember all the names... Valus Quadratus Gaius Phaedra Avion Barbus Kuromori Basaran Dirge Celosia Pelagia Phalanx Cenobia Argus And Malus
This game makes me sad but in a good way. Destroying these mystical, beautiful creatures feels like a metaphor for something but I can't quite grasp it. It's a strange, wild, emotional experience and I love it
I feel so bad... I still prefer the PS3 port. I did not have a great time with the remake and listening to you get passionate about it made me think "I played this game wrong." Love yah Caddy, cheers for making me think :)
Holy shit, this game looks incredible!! THIS is how this game is meant to be played! Too bad I don’t have a PS4. All I have is the PS3 remaster, which, after seeing the PS4 remaster, may be impossible to go back to.
I actually only have 1 problem with this game and it's kinda weird, this game single handled created the whole "Ohhhhh look how deep and emotional our 2D pixel art Indie Platform Puzzler is, are you the good guy or the bad guy? Who cares we're deep" type of indie games we have everywhere nowdays. And with all of those games going around it kinda diminish what this game did in the first place back in the day.
I think this is the sole reason why SotC isnt as emotional for me. Ive seen the kind of story of morality similiar to it before, and I didnt get around to play AotC untill the ps4 remaster. The fights and music is still dope tho
Great rant! I played the PS3 version a while ago, and I loved it. Still, THANK YOU for your quick rant on Argus! That one Colossus took me @#$%ing forever to kill, and I hated every second.
I have mixed feelings about this game when I played it on the PS4. Pros: - the game looks breathtaking - the bosses were unique, interesting, and had variety. - the story is shrouded in mystery and it's fantastically told. - taking down a Colossus is so satisfying yet very tragic. - the music is also breathtaking. Cons: - the bosses can be very stressful sometimes, for me at least. - the few final bosses of the game are so FUCKING STRESSFUL (I loathe colossi 16 btw) - the horse can be so unresponsive that it makes me completely frustrated at him sometimes. That then makes me feel bad for him at the very end of the story, cause I spent a lot of time just being pissed at this one horse and that made me feel like a real jerk toward him. - sometimes it's unclear where to find the next colossi sometimes. It's really frustrating. - the 16th colossi. I just fucking hate it. - the checkpoints are terrible. For example, you cross a long way to get to the 16th colossi. Then you reach the collapsing bridge. However, the sudden camera change was so jarring for me because I'm more used to the horse moving forward yet, the camera change is asking me to move where it's asking me to. This really threw me off, which resulted in me constantly falling through the pit. Not bad right? WRONG. The Game brings me back to dormin's temple exactly where I started and I have to go through the whole thing again, and I kept falling down the pit- several times, until I actually got it right, which didn't take as long as when I had to beat the 16th colossi. That shit took me two days. So yeah love some parts, hate others. But I overall did enjoy this game. It's very different than other story driven games and I could definitely see why some people put it above high standards. It honestly really is a great game, but it can be so difficult.
Even the devs of Ico believed that they took away too much. I love that they created the design philosophy "design by subtraction" but Team Ico believe that they made the combat system too simple. I have yet to play Ico so I can't agree or disagree with this.
When Games like spec ops shadow of the Colossus outer wilds and other great games made you think about them for a long time after you finish them you know they are something different
I gave this game my best but it never grabbed me. I finished it and just thought "Is that it?" Personally if I want to play a game about a fallen kingdom, forgotten gods with amazing boss fights I'll play Hollow Knight. I'm glad this game inspired so much, but all I got was apathy and a little bored.
The thing about this game is I already watched the Game Grumps play through it (one of my favorite series on that channel) so I already know about all of the collosi and the ending etc. so I'm not sure I can really experience it properly...
Caddy: "I love this game, but totally understand why someone wouldnt like this game"
Audience:"Oh good he loves it, we don't have to kill him"
I think he's said it before actually. That's why he didn't even contemplate reviewing the PS4 release until a few internet comments apparently sparked him to put his two cents on the subject.
lmao true

Raggedstar very true. I loved the game. The scale....
"It does a little something for everyone."
- IGN
had a small heart attack, but thankfully its a positive rant. Don't scare me like that Caddy
It was a close one for sure!
Yeah, more a "rave" than a "rant". :P
Seems kinda clickbaity to me tbh..
Damn guys...someone not agreeing with your opinion is no reason to die! 😂😂 Lol
I cried the first time I beat this game because the ending is so bittersweet. You want to be happy but it's hard to.
Hearing “the opened way” immediately fills me with emotional overload
15 didn't bother me. 12 did. That turtle thing halfway in the water. My 12 year old self was sooooooo lost
Pelagia, I do believe, he can be quite dumb, when it comes to the most irritating one is needs be Phaedra (4th Colussus), goddamn stupid horse, it sometimes took me 20mins to get her to follow her own defeating strategy.
I consider this game to be one of the best examples of a video game being a piece of art.
I'm curious as to what aspects you see in this game that make it art. Is it more of an avant-garde thing or what?
This Colossus is called Malace and it's possible to see that it's not completely evil.
yeah...you and literally everyone else in the gaming community
also no, the game tells you the character names in the closing credits
@@TheShangryLlamas I mean, all games are art, unless you're the kind of person that thinks video games haven't evolved creatively past Galaga
Grave of the Fireflies is anything but a "fun" movie, and thus it's not for everyone.
Nonetheless, it is a damn good movie, and this game (from what I've seen and heard, as I've never actually owned a PlayStation to play it on) is much the same.
KC Clark the difference here is, the gameplay is a whole lot of fun, it’s just the themes want you to believe otherwise.
This is indeed a “fun” game.
Hmmm your mileage will still vary, the game can often get very repetitive and unnessarily frustrating
SoTC _is_ fun. Extremely fun.I have fond memories of hooting and hollering and laughing the first time I played it because I was having such a blast.
That was...actually poetic as fuck. Caddy, thank you.
I love how this game messes with your emotions without even telling a story. It literally is you learning and your actions that causes you to feel that way.
But...there is a story? Its just very simple
justletmesingmysong Oh god...
Um... this game does have a story.
It's just visual and doesn't have any talking in it.
Zonyae Ambrose dont know about the ps4 version but in the ps2. And ps3 version the manual contains the story(just like ico)
Which bites the game in the ass on the PS3 digital release when going into it.
I never played this as a kid (never had a PS2) but bought this remake because it just looked so magical... and it didn't disappoint. I agree, it does feel clunky and definitely isn't a game for everyone, but I loved it.
We're not even sure Mono is Wander's love interest actually ! A loved one for sure though
Wander must have felt "something" for sure, but yeah, since she was dead for the whole game, kind of hard to get her side of the story.
Strangely enough on the back of the PS4 remaster box it says “explore forbidden lands on a quest to bring your love back to life” but in game they never say, and I can’t find any other version of the game that says she’s your love
Yeah for all we know Mono could be his sister. lol
And when she died to him, she took a picture of the game over screen and set that to her profile. It was great
That's awesome!
On s'en crisse.
What's Celosia?
Chillin' Like a Villain Killin' Krillin Celosia is the lion boss that you have to knock off the cliff with fire.
I don't know how anyone memorizes the colossi names...they're nowhere in the game and you have to memorize some dumb wiki page.
I hope ICO can get a Remaster on PS4 cause if I have to play it on PSNow again I will scream.
I still can't believe that they did this it looks as good as last guardian and plays even better it is everything we ever wanted from a game we never thought would get remade

Hey Caddy, have you ever seen the original North American box art of Ico? You'd understand why that game didn't do so well
I love your videos, but I don't want to go very deep in this one. This is a game I want to play blind, since I barely played the game at all.
That's the best way to play it. Not even knowing what the colossi look like gives an incredible experience.
No you should read every spoiler first before you play it, it's the best way to optimal enjoyment.
Worst case scenario I've written a few sentences about something I'm passionate about, so whatever.
don't read your replies
loved this video but one thing, does caddy know you can just get the 15th coli to hand strike you to get on his hand instead of trying to scale down from the head?
I would assume not based on what he said. doh! haha!
Caddy, you almost gave 99% of your subscribers a heart attack.
Never felt regret killing these things. Maybe it’s because the game gives so little context, I never thought I was doing something wrong fighting them. I mean, I’m so used to games teaching me to be the good-guy and fight villains that I immediately assumed that was what’s going on here. 12:50 I'm not so sure about that, Caddy. I mean, with the Flash Arrows, you can blow lots of shit up. Lizards, fruit, the Colossi, yourself... etc.
Didn't Team Ico confirm that Shadow of the Colossus is a prequel to Ico?
yes
I never thought of Dormin as not-the-villain in all my years of thinking about this game. I LOVE your take on the narrative.
Anybody wondering why caddy didn't release part 2 of nursery rhyme video on Sunday?
Yeah he was ill.
Woybff Ill?
Tommy Deonauth's Archives Yes. He posted on the channel that he had the Flu.
NATHANIEL FOGA!!?!?!?
Fair enough, hell I've put off my own tribute to the sadly recently late David Odgen Stiers due to an unintentional stomach flu (long story).
I love all your theories about the game and its themes. I wish more of your reviews were like this one.
What if the humans split dormin's soul into those colossal creatures for the sake of keeping him seald and by killing them you are releasing him from his cage, the black blood is no blood at all, but dormin's shadow.
Therfore the game is called: shadow of the colossus, the colossus being dormin.
Deep. I like it!
That awesome moment when Caddy uploads a video on your actual birthday. Thanks, mate! As for this video's content, I'll have to come back to it later because somehow I never played this when I owned a ps2. I'm hoping to give it a go on my ps4 soon.
Unpopular Opinion: Ico is my favorite of the ICO Trinity
I don't like Ico beyond the atmosphere
It has the best story of the 3 and the 2nd best gameplay
A lonely breeze whispers in the trees;
Sole key to this mystery.
I don't think anyone would attack you for that, would they? It's a fantastic game.
A real unpopular opinion would be saying The Last Guardian is your favorite
I never played the game but I saw the Game grumps and Jacksepticeye's playthroughs of the game. The first version and the updated version. I love the game solely based on the art style. Jesus Christ these monsters look so majestic and beautiful in the updated version. They looked fine in the first version but look more life like in the new version.
After seeing your comments on Twitter about this rerelease, I'm happy to see you go in-depth with what you wanted to say here
Such a beautiful review/rant Caddi’!!! I felt the same thing about Dormins unjust imprisonment and the humble sad story behind Wander. Loved this video
I think it's good that you're killing the colossi to return them back into the one being they once where. No evil intent? It’s hinted that dormin lead a religion that had some caused the people to perform dark deeds. Yes dormin had evil intent.
It was my happy flipping birthday two days ago so thank you for discussing one of my favorite games of all time and discussing why it's so great
Ehh , not as good as knack 2 .
iTS A MASTAPIECE
Nathaniel Foga Shat 2 of the Closss
Game dunkey?
Shit meme
Nathaniel Foga Bubsy is better.
I've always wanted to play this game :D I seriously need to get the Remaster on Ps4, it's so damn beautiful, plus for £30 it's a bargain for a full length game :P
Jeez Caddy, at least inform us on whether your rant is good or bad beforehand!
Ben Wasserman There's such things as a positive rant?
Tommy Deonauth's Archives that's what I thought. Kinda a stupid name. Rambles can be good, but rants are universally bad, I'd think
Yeah, I thought this was going to be more like indeimaus' tweets.
read the description
Even as a Nintendo guy, I'll say it here........ Team Ico is the only development team that does "art games" right
What about the Team behind Inside and Limbo? Those games are artsy and ambient as fuck.
"We NEED" You mean 'I want'.
Erik Heijden I think I was pretty clear how elements of that kind of niche games go over to other more popular games. So it's certainly a "we".
Love the ambiguity of this game. It's open to interpretationt too. Excellent soundtrack is used strikingly during boss encounters. I know some will say "sort of a pretentious artsy game" but I like the originality and subtlety.
Honestly dude, I have to say this is one of your best videos so far. Good job!
I never heard anyone else rant about 15th Collosus either until now. Thank you Caddi!
Funny, the completionist released an episode about this game, and now here you are reviewing it as well!
I personally prefer Ico over Shadow of Colossus
why
thehydragonmaster Because some people can't accept different opinions.
ya, thats what I was thinking
thehydragonmaster Same
Bruh, Ico was my shit.
I played the PS2 version originally, but not when it was new. I found it in a bargain bin at Kmart after I got a PS3, and still found it super impressive. I've actually come across people who didn't realize the PS3 version was a remaster of a PS2 game, and I think that speaks highly to it's quality.
That was some great in depth analysis you did there, I love it. Got goosebumps
Loved colossus but I’ll say it, I hated the ending, a lot. On any subsequent playthroughs I ever did I just turn the power off when the last colossus dies, imagine a joyful reunion between Wander and his love, and forget about he actual ending entirely.

2:20 Hell no. A game doesn't fail just because someone doesn't like it or "get it". Opinions don't determine quality.
Good is objective.
Man, I loved this video so much. Incredible job Caddy! :D
That was truly a spectacular discussion Caddy. Really, just a plain fantastic job.
Thanks a lot for the Happy birthday! Appreciate it :)
SotC is my second favorite game of all time so I definitely understand and relate to everything you said here. Fantastic video yet again, Caddy!
I played the game for the first time with this remake. The story is neat, but FUCK is it frustrating to play. I was kicking and screaming the whole way though
I dunno I still don't really like some of the design decisions that came with the visual overhaul. I think I'd stick with the original or the PS3 version.
.... first caddicarus video to show up in my sub box for like a year...
ffs youtube...
This game is the game that I even stop to play before fight any Collosus
Beautiful video! First time player last month and was blown away
SELF-DOUBT.

Yep, that's one good thing you can say about that Deity. He keeps his promises.
By the end of the game my whole right hand was hurting from having to hold down the right trigger on the final boss
One big theory of the origins of Dormin:
Huge spoilers!
The bad demon who was the "sphere boss" in the Last Guardian is regarded as the true form of Dormin...After defeating him he was scattered and sealed away in the forbidden land , which makes The Last Guardian the 1st game in the storyline...
I still remember playing the ps2 demo over and over.
I played the demo too but I forgot it.
Thanks daddi caddi for uploading at 10 PM =>
I just remember staying up all night with my friends and being completely immersed while playing this game
T-these theories... I've questioned whether Dormin was actually evil, but dang I loved that part of the video!
Let's see if i remember all the names...
Valus
Quadratus
Gaius
Phaedra
Avion
Barbus
Kuromori
Basaran
Dirge
Celosia
Pelagia
Phalanx
Cenobia
Argus
And Malus
This game makes me sad but in a good way. Destroying these mystical, beautiful creatures feels like a metaphor for something but I can't quite grasp it. It's a strange, wild, emotional experience and I love it
For ps5 I wish that Sony made like something the Nathan drake collection where all the 3 ICO games can be bought in one package
This game needs a sequel!! There is still so many questions and i need an answer!!!
@Tragically Comedic ehm but people still want it so what about it?
I played this game back in March when it was free and man..... I loved it... Most of it anyway...
A+ review cads, outstanding stuff.
I feel so bad... I still prefer the PS3 port. I did not have a great time with the remake and listening to you get passionate about it made me think "I played this game wrong."
Love yah Caddy, cheers for making me think :)
11:37 my most favourite track from the game, hands down
Holy shit, this game looks incredible!!
Amen
Shadow of The Colossus is the reason why I can't throw away my old PS2
I have never liked playing these games, i do however, love watching let's plays of them, they are really beautiful games
Less a rant, more a rave. Ranting tends to be complaints, raving is going on and on about how good something is.
Your theory makes me... sad if that is what happens. I mean, it's HEAVILY implied it might be the case, but still.
Umm, Wander turns into a horned demon thing. That's a pretty big flag that Dormin is evil if you ask me
Great rant! I played the PS3 version a while ago, and I loved it. Still, THANK YOU for your quick rant on Argus! That one Colossus took me @#$%ing forever to kill, and I hated every second.
The music in this game is god damn amazing that we can probably all agree on
I love the game in general. I always like something with great direction. Easily one of the most artistic game around like Killer7.
I have mixed feelings about this game when I played it on the PS4.
Pros:
- the game looks breathtaking
- the bosses were unique, interesting, and had variety.
- the story is shrouded in mystery and it's fantastically told.
- taking down a Colossus is so satisfying yet very tragic.
- the music is also breathtaking.
Cons:
- the bosses can be very stressful sometimes, for me at least.
- the few final bosses of the game are so FUCKING STRESSFUL (I loathe colossi 16 btw)
- the horse can be so unresponsive that it makes me completely frustrated at him sometimes.
You know what game should be remade this day and be more notice. RAD Robot Alchemic Drive. which is way more underrated then Shadow of Colossus.
Even the devs of Ico believed that they took away too much. I love that they created the design philosophy "design by subtraction" but Team Ico believe that they made the combat system too simple. I have yet to play Ico so I can't agree or disagree with this.
Thanks to this review,I will sincerely stop hating this game and give it another chance. Thanks Cadz!
When Games like spec ops shadow of the Colossus outer wilds and other great games made you think about them for a long time after you finish them you know they are something different
This was a fantastic analysis of a fantastic game. Well done.
Did you get to the garden up on the top of the original temple?
My disappointment with this remake is that they didn’t add any of the scrapped colossi
Wow
Someone who actually acknowledges titan souls existences
Husker
It’s disgusting, disgusting existence.
Just forget about it for some time, usually that happens with me.
Caddy please! and i mean this seriously, do not get rid of or change that spoiler warning. It has me laughing every time
