    I like the fabric softener trick. Also, a "flea comb" works great to rake the hairs out of deep carpet. Many pet owners already have one lying around.

    Another thing that has always worked for me is using a wet facecloth and dragging it across the carpet in similar fashion like you're doing in the video. It is almost just as effective, and it has always worked for me. Might take a bit more time but it works.

    We use a Tornador gun.. it uses an air hose and has a horn shape at the end of the gun.. it spins air in a spiral and breaks up the hair pretty well... Takes up at least 80% or better depending on carpet type and hair in the carpet...

  • @zippyzoe
    @zippyzoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love your teaching technique. Slow and steady is the key. Often times the consumer wants to go super fast to get the job finished. In general, how long does it take to do the entire inside of a car with pethair "everywhere"?

    • @DetailKing
      @DetailKing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, we're glad we could help! The amount of time it takes to do pet hair removal depends on how much pet hair there is, and what type of vehicle it is. Pet hair can add anywhere from 30min to a few hours on top of your interior detail.

    • @zippyzoe
      @zippyzoe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DetailKing That's good information. How much would the price on the detail job be expected to increase for a car loaded with pet hair? 25$..... Generally speaking since its doubtful I will visit your shoppe since I live in Dallas Texas. Thanks....

    • @DetailKing
      @DetailKing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The time and amount to charge is going to be different on every job. As long as you know what your hourly labor rate is, you will be able to charge accordingly. If you normally get $50 for an hours worth of labor, and the pet hair adds an hour, you charge $50 more. If it adds 30min you charge $25. If it adds 2hrs, you charge $100.

    Looks nothing like my boot (trunk). The fur in this video is gliding effortlessly off that carpet. My labs hair is absolutely entrenched in the lining of my BMW.
