It was eye opening to read about and I was disappointed in Elon for that - of course he'll be polite to workers when he's on camera. As much as I love his passion too, he is living it with money from other people. Some do have the money to waste, others did not, yet, theirs has been burnt too.
How long will it take to people to realise that there’s not enough lithium and cobalt on earth to make more than one or two million battery cars per year? - there are 80 million cars sold every year. If we stop doing anything else we can at best cover 2-3% of the global car market with EVs. And this is not considering making trucks, like Tesla pretends to do, where one truck consumes the lithium and cobalt of 20 cars. Mass market EVs are a nonsense, as much as electric trucks - until a better battery technology is discovered. Toyota has long been the most innovative car manufacturer in the world and there’s a reason why they have refused to make EVs. And the reason is not that Toyota leaders are stupid and Musk is a genius.
Elon is just so into all the intricacies of the factory & the production & he again makes sure his team is ok being on camera for the interview. His compassion & concern for others is remarkable.
I see why he works so many hours now, he's not the typical CEO that just tells his people to "fix it." He has the ability to fix anything himself and fix it well so he is highly involved in the process.

He understands enough to work with the engineers to get the problems fixed. Instead of telling engineers "hey, make this run faster", he figures out whats going wrong so he can tell the engineers what they need to do to make it faster. For example, telling these robots to cut out the middle turn table. He can't program them himself to do it, but instead of letting them decide the turn table is not necessary, he figures it out so the engineers can implement it. Great work!

i've recruited engineering managers, business managers, project managers, quality managers, design engineers, system engineers.... he's absolutely a monster, as he's clearly an expert at ALL of these things - and for who knows how many companies at the same time... while also managing finances, PR, and doing interviews for TH-cam. Its saving money from paying workmans comp and having less people on the floor producing meaning it slows down production and they lose money in the long run.

How long will it take to people to realise that there’s not enough lithium and cobalt on earth to make more than one or two million battery cars per year? - there are 80 million cars sold every year. If we stop doing anything else we can at best cover 2-3% of the global car market with EVs. And this is not considering making trucks, like Tesla pretends to do, where one truck consumes the lithium and cobalt of 20 cars. Mass market EVs are a nonsense, as much as electric trucks - until a better battery technology is discovered. Toyota has long been the most innovative car manufacturer in the world and there’s a reason why they have refused to make EVs. And the reason is not that Toyota leaders are stupid and Musk is a genius.
Elon is just so into all the intricacies of the factory & the production & he again makes sure his team is ok being on camera for the interview. His compassion & concern for others is remarkable.

He can't program them himself to do it, but instead of letting them decide the turn table is not necessary, he figures it out so the engineers can implement it. Great work!

Its saving money from paying workmans comp and having less people on the floor producing meaning it slows down production and they lose money in the long run.
