I had no idea colors were an extra charge. My wife and I purchased a 2022 XT-5 Sport Platinum that only has 6,208 miles on it. It stays in the garage, protected and sleeping! It’s got every single option you can possibly want. The natural wood trim and the red tint coat are in perfect condition. I just waxed it by hand and that tint coat really sparkles. The only thing I can’t stand is the squealing noise when I mash down on the brakes. I will admit those Brembo brakes and calipers look really good and they stop my XT-5 Sport quickly even at highway speeds with zero fade but dayum…..they’re noisy. I took it to my local Cadillac dealership in Pinehurst NC (Clark Cadillac) and had them replaced. The mechanic told me they didn’t need replacing but I had them do it anyway. I don’t want a squeaky Cadillac! The mechanic said they are excellent brakes but because they’re a much harder brake they can be quite noisy and you can’t get rid of the sound! Overall it’s a beautiful SUV. As for the claim that the 4 cylinder engine is a really good performer…..NO, that turbo 4 banger is way underpowered for such a heavy vehicle. I also have a 2011 SRX Performance Edition and it has the 3.0L VVT V-6. It’s rated at 265-275HP and even that engine is underpowered. I don’t care how many speed tranny Cadillac throws into the mix but a 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder engine is just 🫤. I’d personally like to see around 350-400HP for a $70K + vehicle. No WAY would I ever buy a brand new car due to depreciation values unless leasing options gets better. Interest rates for consumers is ridiculous! I’ve got excellent credit and the lowest rate I could find was 6.2%. That’s just crazy to me. Just a few years ago my wife’s car was purchased at 2.5%. Hopefully interest rates will be going down but it depends on what happens in November.

Ive watched this vid ...... let's just say ..... often since ordering my 2023 XT5 Sport backing December..... My car should be in within a week or so .... But I wanted to tell you that your vid educated me very well about the car so I ordered mine basically with every option except the engine heater as I live in Florida and I did the Stellar Black and Sugar maple platinum package...... thanks for your info .......
very timely as my wife just came home from seeing a special at costco and wanting an XT5 :-0 Found some dealers willing to do GMS but means I'm limited on availability. How does the price compare buying all the black out pieces vs getting as part of onyx package. Thanks
Infa red looks like my 19 f150 Ruby Red, “pops” is the word and I get tons of compliments. Just picked up 19 XT5 Red Horizon tint, close but not “popping” But I picked it up in a snow storm and may be amazing when washed.

The engine in the XT5 uses Timing Chains that very long, and in a few years will need replacing even more often than the earlier version of the 3.6. GM should have used a Gear Drive instead, and owners wouldn't be facing replacement coats that are only a few thousand less than complete Engine replacement. BTW, I do own one of these POS.
I bought an xt5 in Illinois. After I found out it was from Canada. How and why would the dealer want a car from Canada, especially when there are cars available in the States? It's not a big deal, but I was just wondering how it ended up in Illinois? Thanks
I ordered an XT5 Sport with damn near every option last month with a $74000 sticker and I was wondering how long you think it will take for his car to b e delivered .....My dealer says about 4 months but with everything the way it is .... I'm wondering if that's a proper time frame....thank You

That’s a great question. Likely has to do with the rear structure not being reinforced enough
Plate brackets screwed into the front bumper annoy me..why are dealers still doing this to brand new vehicles, theres gotta be better options!
