I don’t do a lot of cooking but watching your channel has inspired me to try and my dad, who is from Mexico City, loves watching too. Just tried my first thing this week which was the huevos rancheros. My dad loved them. I had to watch the video a few times to write out the recipe for myself but I thank you for being so clear with the instructions. Can’t wait to try something else.

Janet! Llevo meses siguiendo tus recetas y cambiaste mi vida. Mil gracias. Tengo poco de mudarme con mi novio y la verdad solo tenia como tres recetas en mi recetario. Nací en Monterrey pero viví casi toda mi vida en el DF, y nos mudamos a Carolina del Norte. No encontraba sustitutos y me sentía profundamente melancólica por platillos mexicanos.
No me había animado a comentar pero, vi este y me emocioné muchísimo. Sé que es muy difícil hablar inglés sobre todo en cámara pero lo haces increíble! Siempre he considerado estos videos maravillosos por los tips y las recetas en sí, pero más que nada por tu léxico tan amplio y culto. De verdad creo que estás rescatando solita la cocina mexicana que de plano es patrimonio de la humanidad. Te admiro muchísimo! Y se me hace súper valiente que te lances a hacer algo con lo que te sintieras insegura (como intentar hacer estos videos en inglés), y lo logras con mil estrellas, manteniendo la calidad con la que los haces en español.

Huevos rancheros is probably my favorite breakfast! I grow several varieties of chiles in my garden so I like to mix them. Usually I use Anaheim, jalapeños and Serranos together, sometimes New Mexico hatch chiles as well. The big difference is that I like my vegetables roasted until they are a bit charred. I really like that smoky flavor. I also like to use both raw and cooked garlic as you do.

Awesome videos. Like the idea of black beans before the sauce. The only thing I like to do and wouldn't do it any other way is to poach the eggs in the sauce.

I must try this, never thought of frying the salsa. Also, love that there is no cilantro in this recipe!
