      Man, I love aircraft, and space, I was recently at Duxford iwm air museum, then went to the science museum in London, saw the Apollo 10 capsule, amazing
      And that aircraft is a lockheed p2v7 neptune maritime reconnaissance aircraft 1950s vintage, the seat at the front is an oberservs position, the hatch is normally there, it's the main entrance hatch

    That mannequin with the dog was probably supposed to be Saigo Takamori. Really popular in Kagoshima area since he was from the Satsuma domain (Which Kagoshima was part of in the Edo period). He is also well know for having dogs. The statue of him in Ueno Park in Tokyo also shows him with a dog. Plus, his kimono has the Shimazu family crest, and the Shimazu were the daimyo of Satsuma domain.

    A Japanese lady explained to me the difference between temple and shrine, she said that a lot of Japanese people don't know this - at the Shinto shrine there is a place to cleanse before you enter, and at the Buddhist temple there isn't a place like that.

    • @kydeanderic
      @kydeanderic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's not a 100% rule. For example, Sensō-ji in Asakusa has a place to cleanse, but is not a Shinto shrine. The best indicator I have seen is that a Shinto shrine has tori gates at it's entrances, buddhist temples have gates, but usually of a different style. There is a lot of overlap in the styles of each, which complicates things, of course. -E

      @reallusionful 5 ปีที่แล้ว

It's been around for at least the 65 years since I first sat around a summer camp fire listening to a camp counselor trying to scare the hell out of a bunch of 9 and 10 year olds'..........."This woman's husband was a sailor and one day his ship crashed into something and sank. Everyone died. The woman was scared of the ocean ever since.
    So one day she decided to take a cruise to get over her phobia. At midnight of the first night, she heard a voice over the water from her cabin; "It floats, it floats!". She ran to the window and asked "What floats?!"
    At midnight of the second night she heard the same voice again; "It floats, it floats!". Again she ran to the window and asked "What floats?! Tell me what floats?!"
    And on the third night, at midnight, she heard the voice a final time; "It floats, it floats!". She ran to the window and scream "Tell me! "Tell me what floats, for the love of God tell me what floats!"
    The voice responded; "Ivory soap"

      Kyde and Eric By not saying racial slurs in the first place. LOL. J/K. I know that’s not what Eric said.
      But that also means that Google is letting people to make that call - whether or not to use that word. Huh! Interesting.

      Kyde and Eric yeah when I saw it I was like “I’m pretty sure you guys didn’t want the captions to say that” but I guess someone or something is determining them automatically (clearly not you two)

    Most of the aircraft you see ,are american designs which have been built under license in Japan( by Kawasaki,Fuji.Mitsubishi) The Shin Meiwa(the large flying boat),is a indigenous design,in the versions PS1 (Anti Submarine Warfare) and US1 (Search And Rescue) variants. The seat in the nose of the Lockheed/Kawasaki ASW airplane,is there for the observer/photographer. The pilotes are seated in the cockpit right behind . So that's all folks from a planes , trains,and automobiles Otaku ;-) .Keep up the good work Kyde and Eric,sure love them videos ;-D!
