Mike & Nancy, we just want to thank you for sharing your journey with us. We know there is a lot that goes into streaming and when you are experiencing all of these new and exciting places it can be overwhelming. We sure do appreciate you taking the time to capture the great footage!
As Loyal to Royal cruisers, I love hearing of your cruise and how RCCL is taking good care of you all. LOVE the Hot Dog chasing. Can't thank you enough for taking us along with you.
Thank you for taking us along on your journey! You both are delightful and fun to watch! We did the Make a Wish auction on our TA on the Odessey of the Seas in April, the Caption and Cruise director did an amazing job. Jamie the cruise director, since we raised enough money, shaved his head.
Dear Nancy & Mike glad you enjoyed a wonderful Wagyu beef meal with your friends at Kagoshima Japan. and also enjoyed a fun day at volcano island. The volcanic mineral hot water foot dip pools would have been soooo healing and relaxing for your feet. enjoying evening special booked sushi room meal with friends on your ship. total perfect day Nick beaut giving presentations on Bourbon🥳
Thank you for the reply sorry I did really press the wrong letter but never knew that until seeing it in your vlog page very sorry will try to take more care
Have you ever had Wagyu Beef hot dogs? They are absolutely amazing. You can order them through a company called Snake River Farms and they come packed in dry ice.
I'm loving your adventures in Japan. Thanks Mike and Nancy for going somewhere different in Japan and pro tips!! I've always wanted to visit Japan and by watching these vlogs, in getting a better idea of what to do and visit. Very surprised to know Mike is Bourbon master. Love to compare your bourbon knowledge with my whiskey knowledge 😂 Keep up showing us your world adventures 😊
Thanks for the very kind comments, I'll be doing another bourbon talk on the ship here in a few weeks and then also when we get back I will be working on my executive bourbon Steward certification
Hi Mike and Nancy, I have been looking at your videos and enjoying your travels. It is just like I am traveling along with you guys. I will be using your videos as a guide for my travels through Japan, and some of the other African countries that I will be traveling to. I have been going back-and-forth to some of your select videos to help me with my excursions and some places that I want to visit and see. Thanks for all your detailed content.
Nancy I love origami! Having taught elementary students from 1st through 5th grades, I found you are never too young (or old) to enjoy creating through origami. I look forward to seeing all your creations. Maybe in a video rather than a short, and you could do a demonstration.🤔😀 Also, I look forward to your adventures in Africa. Just seeing the photo of the giraffes got me excited. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
That's a great idea, Nancy actually has another channel that she does a lot of different crafts and things on and she's looking at maybe revitalizing and refreshing that channel. Here's a link to it if you want to see some of the things she's done in the past. Thanks for the great idea and thanks for sailing along with us. youtube.com/@nancyjacobsembroideryit?si=d09jOinzbV5tLVT4
Funnily enough I first heard of kagoshima when I read a manga recently called Goodnight punpun/Oyasumi punpun. It’s dark but Kagoshima played a interesting role in it
You are just lovely!I enjoy your videos so much. So much work but you make it seem effortless. Thank you for letting us join you on this journey. When will you be in Scandinavia and in which ports?
Thanks for watching comma we love Scandinavia period years ago Nancy and I Took a driving through to there period Our ship arrives in Finland on August 3rd and then we go to Sweden and Norway for many many ports ending August 17th Period so Lots of time in Scandinavia
Mike and Nancy, thank you so much for continuing to share your fascinating world tour with us. And Mike, a big thank you for describing the origins of the Korean War ( a few videos back) in such a clear and concise way! One of my majors was in history and I have never heard a better explanation of it anywhere! I am learning so much from your videos and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into getting these reports out to us!
Wonderful episode with us being steak junkies - when ya'll get back, come to Texas and we will take ya'll to some good Texas steakhouses - Thanks for sharing :)
Our daughter actually lives in Texas somewhere down there frequently. Additionally, we are SCA competition steak judges as one of our hobbies. So yeah we've had some pretty good steak
Wow! Judges for that too? Is there anything you don't do Mike? Scuba, BBQ judge, Bourbon expert, pilot? How does one person have time for all these things by their late 50's???😯
I currently live in Japan and I’ve heard you mention how cheap it is. You’re right! It’s because the Yen is very, very weak right now. So the Japanese don’t think anything is cheap but it’s a good time to visit.
We are in Copenhagen on August 10th, and that is such a kind offer, but we already have some plans that day with friends. So glad you follow along with us. 😊
Nancy & Mike, Thank you for taking us all around the world with you. We,re hoping to cruise Japan in the future, could you please tell me the actual dates you were there? I fully understand your delayed posting of the videos, but I really want to go when the cherry trees are blooming. Thank you in advance.. Continue to have the time of your life. By the way, Africa was fabulous when we were the on safari in 2022!
We were in Japan March 31st to April 16th But be sure to check there are many websites that will tell you when the cherry blossoms Peak as it's different every year. Hope you can get over there it's spectacular
We are thinking about a month long trip involving a lot of walking and touring. I was wondering if you all did any special training before the trip so that you were more prepared for the long walks. Also, if you don't mind, could you share how old you are at the time of the time. You seem to be in good shape and don't appear to be having any difficulties. I love "traveling" through your lens. thanks.
Thank you so much. This is Nancy speaking. I do have degenerative disc disease in my back that is moderate and have arthritis in my knees. I did a lot of walking before going on this trip. I just feel like movement is key for my health. I am 59 and Mike is 57 years old.
It's how it's prepared and how the fat gets marbled into the beef and the content of the fat that makes it melt at exactly the temperature of your mouth. That's what really makes it unique.
I really enjoyed this, just like your other videos. When you go out on your own, how do you not worry about getting back to the ship on time using taxis? Thank you for sharing your great experiences.
We just watch our time very closely and give ourselves a buffer. Sometimes we can walk back to the cruise ship or other times. We do need taxi and we just account for that in time.
I live in Kagoshima. The port is a bit away from downtown. I eat at Steak Ann a lot. Lots of choices to do in a day: -Chiran has the Peace Museum (it's a museum describing the kamikaze. It has some very moving letters because many pilots didn't want to die) - there is a Satsuma cut glass factory - there are sand baths in Ibusuki but a bit far away - Sakurajima as you visited Cycling around Sakurajima would be a challenge.ive done it several time but the road isn't flat and you'd share it with traffic as there aren't sidewalks... It's rural. It looks like you were there before summer... April or May or even earlier based on the jackets people are wearing. Did you come from another Japanese port or from Korea? Wondering how passport checks went if it was from Korea.
@@livingphase2 Actually my question was going to be what happened if you went to Korea (probably Cheju) from Japan and then returned to Kagoshima. One video I watched recently sailed from Japan to Korea and then back to Japan. They mentioned that the passport inspection on return was a nightmare because 2,000+ people had to be checked at the port and it took hours out of their day. Now this was an alternate port because of a typhoon. They went to Hakodate instead of Kagoshima. I was wondering whether the long wait was because of the sudden change and the need for immigration to prepare or just the way it is.
@@wendyon4517we did have something like that happen, but Japanese immigration came on board our ship and cleared us before we got in. So we never really had any issues
No, the laundry rooms are only available for full ultimate World cruise passengers. We started the cruise with 665 of us, and now we're at probably about 630. Also remember they do our laundry for us the laundry rooms are only for things we want to do ourselves
Hi Mike and Nancy. I observed that in a recent Japan video you were wearing what looks like a cross body bag. Is this to safeguard your wallet etc? Wanted to know if you both could speak about being safe as it pertains to personal and valuable property. Thank you.
Mike wonderful you presented talks on Bourbon .Kindness Is everything some time my big figures can press the wrong key on my phone pad mis takes do take place when sending messages to my children sorry It was fo,r Mike it was a finger mistake

The best thing about Japan cruising is the hello and goodbyes from the locals. We even had fireworks. So wonderful.
