Superstar. Makes me wonder just what that is. Someone the industry dresses up to do their bidding or someone who makes music for themselves and shares it with the world. The judges were awful to her throughout the competition. American Idol lost all credibility for me when Haley was voted off. She's clearly the most diverse and talented singer that's ever been on Idol.

He's for sure in the top five, but I definitely wanted Haley to win, she was my absolute favorite, and I desperately wanted a finale with her and James Durbin, that would've fucking SLAPPED.

What a great year that was for Idol - surely it's apogee.. Scotty, Lauren, Casey, and yes, Haley, who got better as the series went on. I thought Casey was by far the most outstanding musician of the lot, and it's great to see them performing together still.
Come on, it´s a scripted, directed and produced tv show, it´s entertainment that brings in money to the network that shows it. Its all bout the money. Haley is on such a high vocal level that most people can´t understand her skill set anyway, that is the nature of the beast with todays music listeners. If you actually pay attention you can see she actually has improved her technique and control a lot. She had potential and she capitalized on it. If it's really about "performance to you, then listen to her sing an older song vs a newer one with your eyes closed and you can tell her voice now is more polished and she has an outstanding amount of control.
At the time, Pia was only a one trick pony who was not close to being in Haley's league. Since then Pia, thanks to her husband, has become a far better performer. However, she is still not close to being in the same league with Haley. Pia was the third best female on the show that season.

He's for sure in the top five, but I definitely wanted Haley to win, she was my absolute favorite, and I desperately wanted a finale with her and James Durbin, that would've fucking SLAPPED.

Haley loved jazz even then. She was the first person to ever sing with her high school's accomplished jazz band. They performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. She studied jazz at Harper college and performed with the college's Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Lab.

What a great year that was for Idol - surely it's apogee.. Scotty, Lauren, Casey, and yes, Haley, who got better as the series went on.
I thought Casey was by far the most outstanding musician of the lot, and it's great to see them performing together still.

Haley has more talent in her pinky than JLo or Randy could even dream of having. And they judge her?...absurd.
Come on, it´s a scripted, directed and produced tv show, it´s entertainment that brings in money to the network that shows it. Its all bout the money. Haley is on such a high vocal level that most people can´t understand her skill set anyway, that is the nature of the beast with todays music listeners. They want musical "fast food" and that´s what they get.
They weren't judging her. They were deliberately sabotaging her at the behest of the show's producers. Nonetheless, in the end they all miserably failed. As it was the almost unlimited power voting that American Idol permitted, as opposed to one vote per individual voting, that caused Haley to be ripped off.

Those are just two examples of Haley Reinhart's own music. As both those tunes would be major hits had Haley released them via a major record label, as opposed to independently. Haley has written many more tunes that are just as good.

If you actually pay attention you can see she actually has improved her technique and control a lot. She had potential and she capitalized on it. If it's really about "performance to you, then listen to her sing an older song vs a newer one with your eyes closed and you can tell her voice now is more polished and she has an outstanding amount of control.

At the time, Pia was only a one trick pony who was not close to being in Haley's league. Since then Pia, thanks to her husband, has become a far better performer. However, she is still not close to being in the same league with Haley. Pia was the third best female on the show that season.
