Thank you for everything you all have been doing the last 4 or so years for me because you have helped me so much mentally by just watching and listening to your videos in my everyday life
Jolene, I love Chad's new white overhead door. Those old wooden doors had lived too long. Your touches on the shop are fantastic and it is a wonderful warm feeling. Keep up ALL YOUR EFFORTS. Love this station. I watch it every day without fail.
I’m a regular watcher from the UK and can’t wait for the work to start on this Ford. Watching Chad work when he is designing a car is fascinating- you can almost see his brain whirring and then he gets in the flow and there’s no stopping him! Inspiring stuff with the help of Doug and Nathan, Jolene’s excellent camera work and Fina of course. Highly watchable keep it up guys 👌
I love the New wall in the Shop and the Garage Door! Man what a Difference!! I saw Chad and Doug putting the panels up, and was pleasantly surprised when I saw it today! I’ll be Following along on this New Build, I have a Thing for 51 Fords and would love to see what you do to it !
Workshop look great Jolene, I really enjoy your teamwork with the guys and how you put your videos together with all the mistakes, conversations, ideas changes of direction and reasonings for them and you do it all in a way that makes us feel like we are just a couple of old mates and were sitting in the corner of the workshop watching it all unfold. Very down to earth, very honest and you explain things in a way that everyone even a layman can understand whats going on and what direction your going with a build and why. Thanks Chad and Jolene and the boys.
I must say the shop looks awesome now its cleaned up and things put up like the paneling and the new garage door. I bet that new door is gonna help out tremendously with opening and closing. Jolene did an awesome job painting the paint shop door and great job on the camera as always. I must also say I really enjoy Doug and Nate in the shop with you guys. They are both awesome guys. It's nice to have guys like that around and know what they are doing and can work together great. And awesome that you are gonna take this one to paint. I know alot of people including myself would want to see that. Awesome video Jolene Chad Doug and Nate!!!
With Chad's ideas for this car. I would suggest a blue body and gloss black roof. Maybe even do the hood and trunk lid in gloss black. Provided the metal is straight enough.
You have done an excellent job on the walls of your shop. It looks like a show room where you could take excellent photos of your cars etc. With all your improvements on the inside I think you should also include putting a roof over your outside lift and also think of closing in the walls in the future to give you a year round work area for doing mechanical work etc.. The ideas you have for the shoebox are spectacular and i look forward with anticipation to the finished product.. Love and Peace. Blessed Be. Doug.
The shop looks more modern and usable now., good job. Your idea with a more streamlined look is just what's needed. The idea of canted B pillars should help keep that look flowing. If the rockers were tall enough slash cut side pipes might look good built into them. Well, just a thought. Could also picture in solid teal green.
Hi Team Hiltz how is everyone doing? I am really excited to watch this build it is going to be a fun one for sure! Chad you could not ask for more than having Doug & Nate for team members. I was amazed how fast they were gutting the car it would probably take me the whole hour just to get one door glass out! Jolene fantastic job on the shop it really looks nice & organized. Also, great job on the video & your part in the decision making on this project. I was really pleased to hear that this one is going to paint & I am sure alot of other viewers are as well. Fina was enjoying getting some petting from Nate & she also seems to be happy with her new bed location.
Hey Fina! Chad - thanks for explaining in detail what you wanted done with this car. It was easy to follow you and your excitement about bringing the car to paint was catching. Unlike the last car you did, I'm excited about how you're doing this one and I can't wait to see the great outcome.
Amazing shop transformation in general, but that door is so much nicer than the barn-ish doors it had before... Now you need a building to hold and sort all the parts you have so they can all get sorted and dont rust away on you... Jut a suggestion, the way it is being done now has worked for Chad for years, and I know that feeling...
The brick wall, garage doors and cleaned up shop look great. Nice job! Cut off part of the trunk from the Packard or another old car, bolt the cut side to the stub wall where the big mirror is, paint it and make a permanent bed for Fina. Or instead of a trunk, cut part of the front clip from the Sunbeam, or whatever the British sports car is that’s laying in the yard and use that as a nice dog bed.
Great to have the team together for this one. I like how Fina walked up to Nathan to say hello and he was looking out for her while checking out the cars outside for parts, old friends for sure. Looking forward to this build.
Jolene I know I don't understand why Chad does what he does, you have absolutely grown this channel and you are really taking it to a huge level. I hope that you will get Chad a new brake and a new jump shear... I know he says he likes his stuff but I guarantee you that Chad will absolutely lose his mind having a real brake and a jump shear that isn't 80 years old. Keep kicking ass Jolene and thank you for everything 🙏
You don't understand because you don't have any thoroughbred in you! You think buying things are the best instead of using what you have! Another thing is I guarantee that this channel wouldn't even be here without Chad!
What a great group of people you have assembled. Jolene, Nathan and Dougles are such a great bunch. You are fortunate to have each other for sure. Good times watching you guys on these builds...
I see you bought my cousin's old Shoebox, looking forward to seeing what you do with it! Merry Christmas Uncle Brian and Travis if you are watching and reading the comments.
Hey guys, I’m from Swift Current, SK I’ve been following you, since you had your T.V show. I just found you guys on TH-cam, I like Chad’s thought process on how he thinks up ideas on how to build a car. This car needs a 5 speed manual transmission with a Turbo for the Engine to wake it up. Can’t wait to see it finished
Sounds like a plan man. Color wise, I'm thinking Candy Apple Red ! Those shoebox tail lamps would look great on that ol' Dodge coupe when you get to it...👍🏁
The front windshield slope is an approx 45 degree, so taking out a 2” section will move it 1” ahead for easy calculation . You have some well thought out vision on this one . Things may change ,which is okay but I can imagine this finished by your description and it will look good !
Take it to paint music to my ears you always do such a fantastic job filling and blocking out a car its so satisfying to watch you spray Great video i feel bad for you in many ways working and publising content every day must be so tiresom but from the bottom of my heart i truly appreciat you guys. :D
Hi Chad color suggestion beautiful royal blue ,with white walls ,lowered customised body work AWESOME , i agree the packard rear window is a much better looking window ,no matter which way you go the build has me very excited ,because each and every build is different ,and is the one and only one ,and tell Doug he is flat wanting flat black LOL!!
Shop looks great. Jolene’ touch on the garage door by the brick wall looks like you’re outside a shop, cool! I like the idea of extending for the tail lights, I’m imagining kind of finned more than the donor car. Suggestion, build a brow over the headlights kinda like a 57 chevy. I like your forward front idea I think it’s what I’m imagining. Wow you’re planning on paint, bravo, can’t wait to see this build going. You never have a dull show!
So very much looking forward to watching this build. As in all of them I'm sure it will be an adventure, and a good time... Jolene, you dear are amazing at all you do. And it great to see Nate and Doug in the shop. Keep up the great work...
I'm so excited for this . I've got a 51 Henry J that I want to do the same chop to . This will give me a direction in which to go with it . Let's do this 😎👍
Really nice work on the inside of the shop chad and doug and jolene...goin right to town taking her apart guys...should be an interesting build...great car content 😊..cya tomorrow Hiltz Team
New looking shop, new build starting and Doug and Nate in the house, so looking forward to see how good it looks. Merry Christmas to you all Cheers from Australia.
I like your ideas about the customize this new project. Hope that all works together making something unique and with the Hiltz character. The shop looks cool with the new touch. Great camera and editing Jolene!
A very bright red, with white accents, your white wall tires, is a big head-turner. I think with the design you are trying to achieve a bold red will make it look very sharp. Almost any bright color accented with white, roof, top of the fins, you get the picture. BTW the new look in the shop is a real nice touch.
Shop looks great. Really like the brick wall and painted garage door. Question, how about re-starting the hat and shirt giveaway at the end of the show like you use to. It would be cool!
NO comment on this build. Been wrong every time when I get too introspective on Chad & Jolene's builds. I've appoved of almost every idea through the years prior to the builds...BUT, I blew it second guessing on the last one which I ended up LOVING. Yeah. SO.... GO CHAD & JOLENE!!!
Thank you Chad for inspiration I went to the junkyard and I rescued a 70 Cadillac coupe deville two-door and I'm going to restore it or make it custom because I watch your videos and your inspiration keep up the good work and I keep watching you every day give me a shout out on one of your videos please God bless you and keep on doing
This is great, I’ve never chopped a car but this will help me on my 49 Meteor. I have all the tools required and have always wanted to do a chop so this is great. Shop looks really good and love your projects !!
The best thing about this video is what’s been done with the whole shop. As far as the car … I do hear anything different from most other chips. What, for me anyway, would be a very interesting customization would be to take what we know about car design now and go back and try to get into the creative brains of the original designers. If they had available to them what Chad has today how would they actually design the car? What would they do to the design to make it pop. Just a thought. Maybe something for a future job.
this build is going to be a lot of work but I enjoy seeing doggie and Nathan and everyone get along at the shop . happy workers equals better outcome with the project
Nice looking transformation to the garage, always good to have open space to work on the projects! Look forward to see how the ford will turn out looking with fresh paint, so many options 🧐 😲
Definitely going to be a good Build Chad Doug and Nate I think you should paint it metallic, gray and black it will go with the interior Good video Jolene shop looks great
The Bugatti you're making is featured in the 2017 movie "Overdrive" - what an amazing car. Shop looks good. Looking forward to seeing all your design ideas come to life with the Ford.
Glad to see you plan to take it to paint. If you took the weekends to break from videos I'm sure people wouldn't mind, then you could focus on body and paint on previous builds and show results now and then to make people happy
The shop is looking real nice with that brick design on wall and nice decor as well, looking forward to seeing y’all’s idea’s coming together on the 50 ford it’s going to be a nice one I’m sure
Watch every day with great anticipation! Really looking forward to your customizing. Personally, severe chops are not my thing, contrary to most people, I guess. The cars just look out of proportion to me. Anyway, I'm in for the long haul.
The shop re-vamp looks fantastic…and the reason being is because it looks fresh! 😜 An idea for colour on the new build, how about satin grey with black bumpers/assents? Keep up the amazing work…appreciate you all!
Yeah, other than a Merc, the Shoebox Fords are the next best thing. Your right in my favorite style of car. A lead sled. Looking forward to this build. Ronnie. Also the new wall and door looks cool.
Good idea about shortening the roof to more of a coupe length. Before I bought my '49 coupe I was looking at a '50 sedan and I was planning the same thing, but without lowering the roof line. As far as the b pillar, you could always hardtop it and get rid of it altogether. The fins on the red/black car (what car is that btw?) would look good on it too. Look up the Junior Conway shoebox to get an idea of how it would look
Bonus video on Jolene's channel premieres at 6:15p ET ➡ th-cam.com/video/NNmoIaOlOP8/w-d-xo.html
Fina is wondering what happened to her place in the shop ?
Thank you for everything you all have been doing the last 4 or so years for me because you have helped me so much mentally by just watching and listening to your videos in my everyday life
Jump started this project. I hope all goes well with it.
Thanks for sharing with us.

The shop makeover is looking great!! 🙂👍

That's the deep 🍒 red 👍
The shop doesn't make the build the people makes the build. Your surrounding your selves with good people and it's showing up. Good job.

Keep up the awesome work guys ❤
So excited to see the plans happen. I am stoked
Shop looks AWESOME!
It would look awesome emerald green metal flake can’t wait to see it painted
