Well, only if you are not looking at it. See, when you look at the distant object, you are actually peering back in time where the light changes it's state from wave to particle, allowing the time travel. This is well documented, super fascinating, and still unexplainable to scientists today (See Double-Slit experiment.) If you can solve the puzzle, a Nobel Prize awaits :)
