I just went to my first concet in October (we were there to hear Marcy Playground but Everclear and Jimmys Chicken Shack were there too) Im genuinely sorta upset with myaelf that I've never further explored modern grunge before this video (thank you). I love the darker, messy, 90s grunge sound and have went listened to other bands similar around this time but Ive never thought to listen to modern stuff (guess I just assumed when the genre fell from mainstream perspective it died)
Fleshwater gonna hit turnstile heights of success after this deftones tour you should check out soul blind if you haven’t they are sick and it that same realm as all the other bands mentioned from the hardcore scene
@ I think I listened to a few of their songs! I had a few bands I wanted to put on this list but there was absolutely no usable info on them 😂 maybe in the next one
@EternallyUncoolTrevor I have another video suggestion for you if you don't mind. I would love for you to react to one of his album review videos which you disagree with the most, and explain why he's wrong.
@ that would be an interesting one. But I feel like “reviews” are really just opinions. Unless you’re a producer or engineer and you’re criticizing the mix or whatever, it all depends on your taste. Fantano has given bad reviews to albums I LOVE (i.e. Notes by The 1975). But I usually take his reviews and opinions with a grain of salt.
Vendetta Love from Ireland are an amazing new Grunge band.
i love your vids! you always cover bands i havent heard of or just listened to a little in passing. now im motivated to give them a proper listen.

I would also like to mention Sap, their first (and so far only) album Lard Baby is amazing.
@@matttepp3038 I may have heard of Sap, but I’ll def look them up anyway!

@@IAmTheGirlWithTheMostCake I think I have…are they newer?
@ yea they came out with a couple singles and EPs around 2020-2022 and they just put out a full length album

Flannel shirts also remind me of a melon headed music reviewer who lets me know if an album is good based on what color his flannel is.
lmao he is the flannel king
