    Thanks. Very helpful.
    Got a dough extruder motor running. No tag, no wire colors, no numbers.

    Thanks so much for your vids! This has saved me lots of time and money. Your step by step methods very clear. A video on European labeling would be good too. Theres a number of those motors floating around. Ty

    can this type of motor be made also two speeds by connected it for low speed in delta and for high speed in double star?

    Another awesome video. I appreciate how you put it out in layman's terms I look forward to watching your other videos as well. You have saved me time and money for sure. Thank you again for making such great videos I really appreciate people like you who put out the effort to share your knowledge with others.

    Someone else made a video like this but did not succeed in reducing the complicated to simple. Great video!

    Sorry, but your analysis is incorrect, though you get the correct phases by you being consistently wrong (funny, it does work out that way). Your understanding of flux at 90 degrees on the diagram as you do is not valid. In your video, when you energize I-G, the phase from I-A will induce a strong field into D-B, not B-C as you suggest. Not also that this same source applied as described above will also induce a strong field into E-F as this is also phased to A-G which are aligned magnetically. Think of A-I and B-D as being wound on the same core (as the angle in the delta diagram suggests, these are aligned angularly). You can see how you would get the same result your way because you apply a consistently improper characterization across the analysis. Your misstep is thinking somehow that powering I-G creates a resulting flux vector that induces into B-C, H-E windings. On the contrary, energizing I-G should produce little coupling into these windings.

      And that may be the case, but it seems to work every time with every motor. The goal with these videos is more-so to make the connection correctly than to know why it is working. I always assumed there was way more to it than I know.

      @@ZackHartle Thanks for the response, Zack. You will get the same results as long as you are consistent. On the Delta diagram, any coil pair located in the same vector on the diagram (left triangle leg has 2 coils in same phase/vector, right has 2, bottom has 2) is actually wound in parallel with each other. These being closely coupled to one another and in the same coil slot will results in a relatively large induced voltage from the other. I admire your passion for bringing knowledge to the public. Keep up the good work.

      @@ZackHartle You really need to supplement this video with a video that addresses Michael Riddell's comments. It caused me, and I'm sure others, a lot of confusion/difficulty.

    Do the 15 volts need to be AC??

    • @ZackHartle
      @ZackHartle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it does have to be AC, but it can be any low voltage. I like somewhere between 12V ands 30V
