As a rapper I’m looking to evolve lyrically and imagery is what I’m looking to add into my lyrics. Also I’ve realised although I do write music for myself. It’s equally as important to make sure emotionally you leave a gigantic impact on the listener.
As a writer, I appreciate the clarity and economy of time in your content. All of the concepts that are in bits and pieces from other sources are concentrated and distilled on your channel. You get to the point every time. Great work.

Smokey Robinson is my favourite vocalist. And a great songwriter too. Where did you get all this songwriting knowledge, - did you take a college course?
I agree, Smokey is an absolute true motown legend. I didn't do a course, just been writing songs for over twenty years. I'm really passioate about the craft and a big nerd when it comes to writing strucure. Hope you find the technique useful.
cheers smitten, glad you enjoyed it. so after you do some brainstorming or free writing split the material into 'concrete' and 'abstract' ideas. Then just make a grid in a google doc (insert table tab) or even draw one out on paper. put the abstract ideas along the top row and the concrete in the first column. then fill out the rest of the boxes with words from a random word generator. Then just start making connections and have fun.
@@SongWritersChopShop I got a tonne out of it the first time and perhaps even more the second! "Who are you singing it for?" what a simple lens with which to frame and focus your approach. I bet there is a third and a fourth experience, this is a real onion!
