I’m doing that to!!! When I want to write about something specific I will sit down and just think about it , if I want to write something about a sad movie moment I sit down and watch the scene and it gives me ideas!

As someone with both ADHD & ASD, the time drill fails for me every time and ends up making me more stressed out about writing. What has worked is finding creative ways to take my brain out of gridlock before sitting down to write, listen to a handful of songs that are well put together, and find my hook soon as I pick a title from my list of title ideas (thanks John Fogerty!) Long as I find my hook/chorus first, it’s easy as pie for me to build something from the ground up.

all pop songs are just human thoughts WE ALL think about . very relatable lyrics. its literally the EASIEST and most simplest songs that are so big

Finding words that rhyme AND flow smoothly into melodies is so hard on its own, and then on top of that you have to make sure its not boring or cliche, it's hard but I'm here for it 🤷
