You are a genius for using those acrylic storage drawers for drip trays!! We only have Dollar Tree stores in South Carolina and I went to my nearest store and racked up! I got rid of those flimsy plastic trays from Home Depot. You can also use the drawer holder for propagations if you stand them up!!
Question, Alice- are you not ever worried about immediately potting up your top cuts without letting the stem harden off? I’m really paranoid about it to the point where I wrap the roots in a wet paper towel to let the cut edge dry out a little without killing the roots.
Glad to hear Charmaine is doing okay! ❤ If you're looking to try new substrates, I would 10/10 recommend trying or checking out Optimize Organics !! I came across them a little over a year ago & I've ONLY been using substrates from them since then, for my ~200 plant collection! They have multiple types of aroid mixes & also a couple sizes/types of Leca! ❤ (Plus they're based in BC, super close to you, compared to me shipping across the country to NS 😂)
Omg I’m never this early! This just reminded me I have so much to do after work on my own plants today 😭 can’t wait to watch this while I do my own props and chores later 💕💕
Hi Alice, thanks so much for the upload, and the update on Charmaine! Quick question, I know you and Charmaine reuse your soil, you mention baking it could you explain your process on this a bit more? Temp, duration, and any other important factors when doing this. I’m very interested in stretching my substrate and saving those coins. 💰😅 Thanks so much, hope you have a great week and fingers crossed you can find someone and some way to get to IAS this year 💜🧡🩷
I’m hoping to go to IAS next year - my friend who got me into plants originally is getting married the weekend of IAS this year, so I obviously wouldn’t skip that 😂
As a new plant collector and new to Anthurium I have a question. Why do you chop your plants? Is it because you want to sell them or give them to your friends? I would be terrified to do it.
I bought the broom when Sherman first showed it and I am SOOOO GLAD I did because my kitten is a shedding macine.. Your plants make me want to expand my anthirium collection but I don't know how my hubby would feel!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Carla is on my wishlist. Carla are absolutely gorgeous ❤ I ordered a TC of Ace of spades and I swear that plant is growing PAINFULLY SLOWWWWWW. Matter of fact, I’ve had it 2 mths and can’t really see that it has grown at all🤣🤦♀️ I do have it in fluval and I am debating on moving it to a chunky mix with a little tree fern (once my bag arrives)
😅 having so many choices of pots is indeed exhilarating! i just repotted 6, 8 more to go 🤦🏾♀️ thrifting makes it more enjoyable when not buying in bulk
Do you have a video on acclimatizing plant mail (imports n stuff)..?? Also, after watching your videos, I’ve really been thinking of propagating my anthurium clarinervium chonk but I’m not sure what to do and how to monitor its growth/watering… 😅😅 PS You’re the reason I’m so in love with anthuriums and have started collecting some myself 🥹🥹
The most recent one I have is from about 3 weeks ago! Usually my leafless cuttings have roots on them (these will usually wake up way quicker than leafless rootless ones) and I just stick them in 100% humidity and high light and typically they wake up in a week or so!
@@youdontevengrowhere thank you so so much for responding! I do have two other stem cuttings with Roots but they were just sitting in a pot with low light, but I’m definitely gonna give them a humidity dome and throw them under a light! 🥹🥹
I’ve used the app “VPN-Super Unlimited Proxy” to access the lives since it’s US only at the moment! You can’t order to addresses outside of the US but it’s nice just to attend lives 😊
Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease. So be persistent when you get someone on the phone and if need be ask for their supervisor. Be persistent. These type of things they hope you’ll give up and then they don’t have to honor the seats you selected at the price they offered.
I realy must thank you for all the info that you have shared with us. It was my first time hearing about tree fern on your chanel. At that time i was growing my plangs in pon (it was horrible everything roted) and now with tree fern soil everything is doing much better! Also one question... i have quite chunky tree fern soil and when i water i see many spots are bone dry! So i started literally submerging plants in water (and leaving it for 2 mins) so everything surely gets water. What do you think about that? Do you think the plants can get stressed because of a sudden change in moisture? And again thank you for your content!
If your medium is quite chunky I don’t see an issue with that! Alternatively you can let it sit in some run off water until the medium can absorb the excess, if you think that the pots are still feeling quite light after a deep water. I do think most anthuriums can acclimate to watering habits either way!
Thanks for letting us know Charmaine (and Archie) are doing well!

Going to IAS for the first time! I’m also traveling alone but I’m so excited! 🎉
The fear in your eye and your voice when you thought you lost the Carla Lux!!!! I couldn’t help from laughing 😂
Thank you for giving us an update about Charmaine. I’m so sorry to hear she had to go through a c section though 😢 but glad both are ok.
Thank you for the update on Charmaine. My daughter was pregnant at the same time and my first Grandbaby was born on the 4th of July.

Good vid! Thanks for update on Charmaine, it’s appreciated!
OMG! Spotting you at IAS would be such a delight!!
Hi Alice, thanks for all of your wonderful videos. How often do you water your plants with Great White? Only after a repot or every watering? ❤
So Glad to hear Charmaine and baby are fine.
i am thinking of going to the 🌿 show in miami 😎🌴!
Glad to hear Charmaine is doing okay! ❤

most excellent timing, as usual.

I go over reusing soil in my tree fern soil video that was uploaded about a month or so ago!
Thank you!!

Sending you healthy growing vibes 💋

So excited to watch!! Your videos bring me tremendous joy ❤
🥹🥹❤️
If you sell your Carla props I will be very interested.
Just bought my tickets to IAS this year! It’s my first time and I’m traveling from Alaska❤
I bought the broom when Sherman first showed it and I am SOOOO GLAD I did because my kitten is a shedding macine.. Your plants make me want to expand my anthirium collection but I don't know how my hubby would feel!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
My dogs aren’t as interested in attaching the magic broom as they are regular brooms 😆 also maybe anthurium seeds would be a good place to start haha!
Good morning Alice. ❤
so excited for this new video 💚💚💚

The link for palmstreet is not available in Canada, how do you get in? I tried several times.

So many "dicey" cuts, time to figure out how to hang upright anthurium from the ceiling 😅.

Palmstreet is still US only?
At the moment, yes!
How can you tell if the roots are old?
They grew out of the oldest part of the stem!
Going where? I missed what you said.
The UK!
Thank you for the update on Charmaine’s health 🙏 also thank you for having the courage to chop these beautiful anthuriums, because I don’t have it 😂
FIRST 🥳
Hi Chiara!!
propagating a crlckckckckclckc
I’m glad to hear about Charmaine and Archie. I’m sure the c-section was traumatizing , especially if it was an emergency one.
