Yeah I call bullshit that you work for the railroad buddy. It is way more complicated than “getting lucky” they don’t just hire you off the street to come operate locomotives. There are many tests and exams, along with starting as a conductor and earning enough seniority to take said tests/exams. The game is not spot on in the slightest, and any railroader would know that. Nice try, but try harder next time.

This game is so realistic. Using the automatic brake to stop light engines. That’s exactly how we’re taught.

Remember how back in the day. They said simulation games wouldn’t sell that’s why they was always over the top and violent. Now here we are. Simulation games have an audience and I enjoy them. This and bus simulator are so chill. It’s not about guns or anything. Just driving a train that’s zen…tbh this is much much easier than driving a real train lol I’d say if this simulation genre of games continues getting more real. They could eventually use them for real testing purposes too…for those seeking to become a real train conductor or bus driver/etc just a thought.

great scenery in the tunnels ... no variation apart from turns and signal lights ... dovetail games should look at world of subways 3 to get an example about how it should be done

Just got this game and am switching on Sand Patch Grade. Pretty good so far, however we should be doing this light yard switching with a single GP38, not two units. Annoying running both directions from what is the rear unit half the time. If you try and run the front unit it tries to cancel the mission.
YEAH WHEN I DID THE MORNING SWITCH I COUPLED UP AND WENT TO THE LEADING LOCO AND IT SAID would you like to cancle the mission

30:21 I was on that mission and I think it is broken. My locomotive won't roll at low gear like you did and also my locomotive won't pull the some cars. Did I miss something?
Was also having same issue. Had to put it into at least control/gear 3 or 4
@@apot35 Same thing here. I thought I was doing something wrong but at the same time I was very sure I do things correctly. I'll try to put it in 3rd/4th gear, though. I guess I didn't try that..
@@theroyalviewer357 after seeing and watching the video, considering it’s such a long train, with only two pushing and another 2 pulling, it’ll take a minute to start moving because of all that weight from a standstill
Sounds like user error as opposed to a problem with the mission...

EDIT: never mind i figured. Put Cutout Valve in Frieght. In both the loco. Also pressed the Alerter few times. (As suggested in the comments) 🤷🏻♂️

I just got it, was doing the intro and it froze. Rebooted the game and I am stuck in the menu where you can see like dovetail games articles about the game and thats it. Can’t get back to the game.

Anybody other than me having an issue where your brakes are off but at the same time the game has them applied? My game is broken and I’m not sure what to do.

Something is jacked up with the game. Here I am looking back and forth to the video and I have it all correct but the engine feels like a brake is applied.
I found the answer on Reddit, I guess there’s a valve on the back wall that needs to be turned all the way to the left. (It’s not in the tutorial) it’s called “MU-2A” valve.
It works! If your in the engineers seat, look at your independent brake, and look about 6 inches down and left to see the valve and set it to “lead or dead”. Problem solved!!!

I have this game now, 2 month driving on railyard and then the mission came! Take 100 cars or more and go 22 km to some place! Then full power and when it goes up 1,3 % i had problems! The train stopped and i was thinking what to do? So, i step down from the train and walked abut 200 meters and disconnected cars, and voila, the train start to run again! Good or not, i dont know, saved the game and got to sleep, will see later what they say!😆

Well if it a original PS4 then your old ps4 can't do your lot of graphics so if you have ps4 pro or ps4 Slim then somehow you broke something in your ps4

Yeah I’m also using a PS4 pro and my graphics for this game is not like this. I’ve complained about it on numerous forums and groups. All my other games are fine and the graphics are top notch. I’m also playing on a LG 70” Ultra HD 4K tv.

why is it when i play the sand patch i can not get my train to move even with no grade and 2 helpers it would keep wheel spinning added sand still would wheel spin with all the right setting set nothing never had this issue with the first train sim any ideas thnks
