I remember my first Ring lap, just when I thought I was going pretty fast, I noticed an angry Mini on my back so I moved over...then a few corners later, just as I settled in a nice tempo again, I had an angry BMW 1 series on my back 😂💀 never underestimate hot hatches with great drivers!

Well yeah, underneath the MK5 Golf it'll fit without major modification, but the polo is a different story. There is no room for 19" wheels, the OEM et is like 37.5 or 39.5, the wheel sits tight on the OEM brakecaliper and the fitment is 5x100 in stead of the common 5x112. So all kinds of adapters and adjustments, right set of wheels etc etc needs to be taken in account before the Porsche brakes fit the Polo without issues... been there, done that... great respect for that mod ❤❤❤

I had this Polo 9n3 GTI a few years ago, it was a really cool car, a little kart, but not enough HP. I always told myself that it would be a great car for track and it seems great !

The first time I testdrove this particular model fresh from the factory trim I made the mistake to take a long curve on the highway onramp at the same speed as my well prepped Honda CTR. The car decided it wanted to go straight forward and not steer in as much as I liked. With some "Kunst und Fliegen" I managed to keep my lane !! They don't deserve the badge in factory trim. The car in this video deserves ALL the of the badge *Gran Turismo Iniezione* 👍🚗

Nice Lap.I have a Polo GTI 1,8T to.With Stage 1 ,200PS.i payd bevor 2 Years 3200 Euro.Plus new Wheels and Tires ,Downpipe,Auspuff.and Software.For this Money it is a good Car.Better with a 6.Gear or DSG swap.
Sometimes during this lap you hear grindy noises, where are those coming from and why do they happen? 7:37 can be heard here a lot, sorry I'm not experienced.

I used to drive this car. The engine is the best part of this car. Handling is not all that great, especially without the LFB tune and the car does this weird ice mode thing where the brake pedal travel is reduced to like 10% when driven hard
when you brake, you are putting your foot right in the middle of the brake pedal, that position makes it difficult to reach the accelerator, instead you should put your foot on the right side of the brake pedal, that way you will feel how easy your foot can reach the accelerator. when you go from gas to brake, don't lift your foot all the way, instead try to slide it from the gas to the brake, and grab the brake from the right edge. excellent video as always, these are lifting up my evenings !
He has done thousands of laps, he isn't out searching for a lap record and trying to shave off milliseconds. He is driving someone else's car for the first time to give them an experience.

In multiple videos I've seen quite a lot of mistakes in the braking zones, generally just because he fails to do proper heel and toe so has ends up in panic trying to stop. Huge respect to Misha, this is not hate comment but only observation from fellow racing driver.

(cuz yeah i do believe that heel and toeing even when going slowly in the city is just essential, you drive a manual, you have to match the revolutions of the engine to the revolutions of the lower ratio gear you are trying to stick it in, you just have to do it to be smooth, you can of course manage to downshift without having too much of a jolt, in the city, you are going slow, release the clutch slowly... yeah of course but i prefer to do it, i do it everytime as a habit and on every car / vehicle) i just see an opportunity of improvement, i know he can do it for sure, so why not giving an advice he could benefit from, as friendly as it could be. you can give an advice a recomendation without being a hater you know
hey @misha. i have the same kind of a polo like the one you drove, but i little more modified for competition purposes. i'm in searching of a suspension good for my the following competitions: autocross, trackday and hillclimb. off course budget is important. i was checking bilstein b14. in my mind a better suspension would be one adjustable on stiffness also, but a Bilstein b16 is a little more expensive. in a price range of a B14 i found some BC racing V1 VM adjustable on stiffness. if anyone from here has suggestions regarding some other coilovers, i'm happy in receiving the information.
