Been watching you since the early DS3 days, almost 6 years now. Thanks for the daily uploads and staying consistently entertaining, at this point my day isn't complete without watching your vids.
Wizards mentioned at least 3 times: 16:16 Mr. Wizard i'm sneaking in here 16:50 darth is a Wizard, we're gonna take Wizard-precautions Since I started counting there were 2920.2 mentionings of Wizards across 251 videos. Bonus: 02:20 02:58 14:54
2:56 what the hell, that was insane damage. -Beastman's Curved Sword, so looks like a strength build -Double Cragblade -Looks like they proc'd Winged Sword and Millicient's off the skellies. -No idea if they're physick'd, but I don't see any effects on them before they attack the skellies. I mean, we already know curved swords are PvE monsters, and that raw damage output is why. That's not even bleed or anything, that's just straight up raw attack power.
I have had same thing happen to me on my 60 and assumed it was because of OL phantom but then had it again on my 125 and seeing this happen to chase makes me wonder if something got changed and we didn't notice 😂
15:04 Nooooo I thought that was you in the Cave of the Forlorn! You really made me look like a chump lol. I love your videos, Chase! Thanks for the fight
Would love to hear chase talk about the best ways to get distance from a gank squad, most invaders on his level seam to just instinctively know how to create distance but for me it’s like I’m just panicking rolling away half the time.
How’s the AR on the dual curved sword guy?! I’m actually sad he fell off a cliff, I wanted to see how you’d handle it. Perhaps that’s a topic you could cover in an upcoming video? I’ve been loving the detail in the build breakdowns lately too. In fact, even the mid-battle coaching tips are becoming more detailed too. Pearls of wisdom. Keep up the good work! I’ll catch you on the next one!
My latest fun casual build is a lvl 94 quality + faith invader (26 STR, 24 DEX, 21 FTH, 43 VIG), swapping around Miquellan Knight's sword, Treespear, Blasphemous Blade, and Ordovis' Greatsword but mainly going for parries via Carian Retaliation on the Twinbird shield. Lots of good times when you're entirely under the meta levels. I think this is what I'll take into the DLC first.
Gotta agree either way chase, while dex builds are also pretty good and has access to lightning damage, strength builds still still are surprisingly versatile in terms of weapons options and ashes of war, especially since curved greatswords and greatswords are my favorite weapon class and is a standard for strength builds.
yeah between the claymore, colossals, stormhawk axe, and greatbows, strength is king. I'm really loving that cold GSCG. people seriously underestimate the frostbite buildup until they get slammed with it. reminds me of that guy you ran into in a previous video who blood infused his giant crushers and bled you in one hit lol. but yeah cold GSCG... I wish I was that good at the crouch poke mixups. but even with my meager skills, it's still strong as hell, that crouch poke into L2 chilling mist roll catch is perfect. and then your weapon is just this gnarly beater that frostbites most players in 2 hits. and no doubt strength is the best for staying alive, so many good AOE ashes of war that work really fast. dex does have some strong AOEs, and of course so do faith, int, and arcane builds, but for the most part they have pretty long windups where you're vulnerable. like, waterfowl dance is insanely strong, but you have to be really careful when you use it, and it's not really good when you're being chased by a super aggressive team since there's like 500ms of absolutely zero poise during the windup where someone could hit you with a dagger and it'd completely knock you over. more damage potential on dex for sure, but you have to play super carefully and tactically to survive a gank. though that is fun in its own way, strength still has to be the go-to build, it's just the benchmark for invasions.
I completely understand why you're making elden ring content and at the end of the day do what you enjoy as a content creator. But I know I'm not the only one that wants to see you return to DS3 PvP at some point. Much love man the content has been great❤
Love your builds and thx to you, I got more comfortable invading people world's. I love to hear a advice from you how to deal with people using moon blade katana, it's always a problem who just uses them.
I'd love to see some challenge invades where you limit yourself in some way. One way that I think could be cool is to invade with one of your normal builds, but then when you kill the host, your next invade you have to use (to the best of your ability) their build. So you're constantly switching up your loadout and who knows, maybe you'll see something new to use.
13:43 Two different opponents running in different directions hit at the same time with one poke? How is that even possible? 14:57 "...I use the lance a lot." Brain cogs whirring in hyper speed 🤯 "Heh, lance a lot." Chase, you're a funny guy even without trying.😂
I did a strength playthrough recently and the dragon halberd was insanely good. Kept it at +6 until mountaintops because I didn't even need to upgrade it
Very clearly a PvE only player. It's why I don't co-op with my friends. I don't want to be invaded, because I'd honestly probably just let them kill me to get it over with quicker. Also, he has Stars of Ruin and the Hoslow Helm. He's gotten further than just lift.
This is kinda the problem with invasions in ER specifically. Most of the people cooping are gonna be more casual. Kinda wish the condition for invasions was something else other than coop.
Little hint chase, I am a strength user, and I use my weapons on fire infusion, since they deal more damage that heavy when not infused, and even when heavy weapons l are buffed by consumables, the difference bettween the damages are small, and the fire infusion is infinite, you dont have to keep buffing, and the fire damage will increase if you are using flaming strike, so it will stack wuth the damage of the infusion and the buff damage.
hey recently discovered this amazing chanel , and i wonder what happened with the leveling through pvp series ? it was a blast to follow it and i'm sad i cant watch the end of it. cheers anyway
Of all the strategies I've learned from chase, double flaming strike might be the best. You have to panic roll to attempt to dodge the strike (which depending on what frame you started taking damage you sometimes can) and the second flame roll catches perfectly. Might honestly need a balance change.
@@imad_eight i don't really agree with your assessment of what balancing should be but I get where you're coming from. Getting 1 shot by a combo because you didn't know your opponent had flaming strike and you aren't light rolling isn't very fun lol
@@renownedhades2703 NO it's balanced because it has MULTIPLES counters that's why, if u can't understand that then I can't do nothing for u. Chase, I don't think I've ever seen you try using the Wakizashi (with Parry) as the offhand of a katana. You can benefit from dual katanas while also having an easy access parry.
Hey Chase I have a video idea! You and a friend should cosplay as crucible knights and host with the taunters tongue and do 2vs2 against invaders! Or maybe as godskin duo?
I've made my Faith/Quality, Faith/Strength, and Faith/Dexterity characters. Recently made a Faith/Arcane and have been having a blast with this run as well as the pvp. Just trying to get my characters where they should be for the update. Farming weapons and upgrades is interesting on consoles but there's a couple ways😅
Chase what is your favorite ashe of war on the Claymore? im bringing your classic strength faith build into the dlc and im currently using the spinning wind ashe
17:57 your rection to the braindead hosts is hilarious. The "my man" just reeks of pity lmao. I dont know what possessed him to try it 3 times but it is what it is
The quickswaps on the armor really helps when you've only got 5-6 flasks, it's the little things 🗡️
3:01 Ahh yes! The ever so rare occurrence of ChasetheCrow.
15:00 I did giggle too with the Lance A lot, and more when your brain processed what you just said 😆
Was a nice unintended pun ngl
Respect your dedication to keeping a theme for every video even 2 years after launch
that last fight was pure comedy and the way you ended him was pretty fitting

Your so chill in invasions.
You could probably tea-bag every host you beat and nobody would be angry at you.
This mans weapon/armour change is insanely good.
If it's too dark, you can throw a brightbloom seed (or even attach one to an arrow)
The title for this string of invasions should have been called “A series of Unfortunate Events” lol

Strength
😂 that was funny
Bro!!!! SAME 😂
Pure strength is objectively the best build in Elden ring for PvE/pvp. It has versatility, damage and weapon variety.
I think the fact that strength naturally gives extra damage resistance is one of its best features.
Chase, it might go against your ethical play style but you should do a low level invasion build. Under RL 10. I'd love to see what you put together.
