    Wonderful!
    I cant believe I can actually follow and draw something that's recognizable. Lol
    Thanks so much.
    What about a seahorse or star fish to go with the shells?

      Yes! So happy to hear you are giving it a go. Remember to have fun with it and keep at it. Thank you for watching and your suggestions. I have added them to the viewers suggestion list. I am hoping to complete an ocean themed journal so these are great suggestions. 😊

    New subbie here. The only thing I’ve ever drawn is a stick man and not good at that. But I think I could follow your directions. Thank you for sharing.

    Thanks - the circle as a starting point is very useful as I find it helps to keep the petal shapes and sizes in proportion. My practice portfolio sketchbook is growing quickly!

    Another interesting great tutorial…..I think I do favour colour pencils as my go to medium. Michele what sort of mechanical pencil do you use please. I do love these little sketches, as I’m not a drawer, but find these achievable. Many thanks 💕 ps what a difference the neon colour made. I would love for you to sketch a sunflower from a angle please x Thank you

      Thank you! I also love working in pencil crayon. I use any kind of mechanical pencil. The brand name has worn off the one in this video so I couldn’t tell you the brand. I just work with any mechanical pencil that has 0.7 size lead. I can do a sunflower 😊 that’s a great idea. They are all flowering here.

      @@thecreativecove6898 Thank you, I guess it was the 0.7 is the most important , I shouldn’t fuss, just get on with practicing 😂. Look forward to your next video. Many thanks 💕🌻

    What sharpener do you recommend for these pencils?

    • @thecreativecove6898
      @thecreativecove6898  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a standard everyday pencil sharpener. Just make sure it is sharpe so you don’t wast the expensive pencil. You can also use an knife it will create some ridges with can add new textures to the drawings. 😊

    Which set contains Florescent orange? My 72?set does not have it.
    Can I buy it open stock?
    Or what can I substitute for that one color?

    • @thecreativecove6898
      @thecreativecove6898  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought it at a fine art store. They are open stock individual pencils. Maybe on amazon? Any fluorescent will do. Or you could try a brighter yellow under then the brightest orange you have overtop and blend? That might work.

    Just in case it helps another beginner like me: I tried these yesterday, it went quite well using my watercolours, then I accidentally smudged the orange and thought I had spoiled my picture - but when dry, I went over the smudge with white acrylic pen and it hid it pretty well and rescued my picture - and I learned a bit more from this 'happy accident'!

    • @thecreativecove6898
      @thecreativecove6898  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wonderful!! Those “happy accidents” are sometimes great ways to discover new techniques as well. 😊 so happy you saved your sketch.
