just an FYI, the maids arn't human, they are known as the 41 humunculus maids. they are all level 1 and have a racial penelty of "increased consumption" making them all eat aLOT of food. they practically never tire and Ainz struguls to convince them to take breaks and days off. the reason hes in bed is to set an example: "see? even I have to rest so you can too".

@@authorias2532 so far no npc has gained levels. however, unlike players and peopple from the new world they also dont lose levels after resurection

@@authorias2532 yup, remmember the guild ainz oul gawn were all big into roleplaying and created nazaric with that in mind. the humunculus maids are purly for decoration. as an added bonus they could automate some of nazarics upkeep using them.
After reading the novels, Overlord definetly became my favorite series. And from all the reaction videos I've watched so far, you make the best ones. I just love how you keep enthusiastic, engaged and commited to following and understanting what's going on. Thanks a lot!
9:34 In this instance, the anime chose to reuse the design scheme of previous CGI angel models instead of creating new ones that would align with the Light Novel's description. Ainz summoned angels called Cherubim Gatekeepers to accompany him, as he believed their majestic holy aura and presence would be more suitable for publicly guarding a King compared to his usual undead or the 8-Edge Assassins (who are invisible to the public anyways). These angels, summoned using the Super-Tier magic spell called Pantheon, are each approximately level 80. Unfortunately, the scene explaining their summoning and their characteristics was omitted from the anime, likely due to time and budget constraints.
In terms of their appearance, the Cherubim Gatekeepers differ from the generic robotic angels featured in season 1. They possess a lion's head and mane, four wings with one pair stretched out and another pair folded around them, and are adorned in shining armor. Equipped with a shield adorned with eye patterns and a lance of fire, their design showcases their distinct features. The Manga adaptation (which is not caught up in English) actually perfectly matched the description, it kind of looks like a Royal knight Digimon [e.g., Omnimon/Omegamonin-specifically merciful mode variant], Leopardmon, Gankoomon, etc)
i love how overlord did the cherubin like the original cherubin from bible, just like the enemys in bayonetta not disney human like angels, angels are not human designe, they envy us humans because dos createt the humans designe like his own mirrormach and so angels envy us humans to look like god(human designe) all angels looks like bayonetta enemys bc the description for them in the bible is so, angels wanna look like human and they can take for a short time on earth a humans body as a ilusion
i think it's also really funny how it's implied that the plan didn't work out at all since they are still really menacing looking 😭
You may have heard Ainz mentioned Shalltear a few times last season and this one whenever Ainz or any denizen of Nazarick needs a gate into Nazarick is because she was basically demoted to maintaining the teleportation network in Nazarick baaically a doorman. Although she takes pride in doing this she does feels down for not being able to take on missions outside of Nazarick because she's too big of a risk.

In case you're wondering why he needs a voice changer, it's so people don't realise he is Momon since Momon uses his original voice.
what ainz said about true adventurers was inspired by a guild back when new world was still a game and the guild was called World Searchers, and It is indirectly implied that they are like adventurers that loved to travel, venturing into the unknown and trekking to various places around the world.

Ains is feeding a Lip Bug. same bug that came out of Entoma after she got bug sprayed by Evileye. it changes the voice of the user. since Ains and Momon shares the same voice.
ya. and they get there voice from whoever vocals they eat. (iirc they give entoma Arche's voice after she's chopped up and given to various sects of Nazaaric)

btw there aren't any humans in the guild except for one of the battle maids, the youngest and most powerful, Aureole Omega. She is known as the one exception when NPCs talk about their disdain for humans. The maids are homunculi. If you've ever watched the Fate series or Fullmetal alchemist, it's the same concept as the homunculi from those series.

of all npc chars pandoras actor is the best one, he has a funny and unic personality and he is one of the faqing strongest and a rly smart dude
Pandora’s Actor, Demiurge, and Albedo are the 3 smartest NPCs in Nazarick. Although their intelligence are different. When it comes to magic items, or acting in the role of someone else, or deception, Pandora’s Actor is easily the smartest. And he’s also the one who can best guess Ainz’s truest intentions because he was built by him.
Love these episodes that give a look at nazarick and its denizens. Seeing the struggle of the maids in this episode was pretty funny.
This one is honestly my favorite season so far, hype for ya'll to go through it.
interesting how pandora’s actor called him Nainz sama or…Nines sama. I dont know if this is intentional since the original name or Ainz Ooal Gown is Nine’s Ooal Gown back when the group is 9 player.
The original name is nine own goal, each of them have a irl goal to achieve whether it small or big

He was wrong. He had been too reckless. Although it was impossible, Ainz felt a headache assailing him.
“Pandora’s Actor. You must not tell anyone else of what has happened here. Understood? If people know that you’re receiving special treatment, it might result in friction with the others. Also ― in fact, because of that, I will be placing you lower on my priorities. If the time comes when I have to choose between helping you or the Guardians, I will abandon you.”
“But of course! Please, sacrifice me as you see fit!”
As Ainz watched him thrust out his chest while speaking, a sense of guilt grew in Ainz’s heart.
“I am sorry. And… Fifth. Do not speak of what has happened here.”
There's very important thing. They skip whole arc between season 3 and 4. It will be in movie so there will be things that where not show but happened.

ainz uses the lip bug to distort his voice in public. this way no one will recognize his voice as Momon's
both times he's talk to the guildmaster (this one and the one previously with shalltear incident) the mages guildmaster is supposed to be there.
his reactions made both these moments even better. between him loosing his ABSOLUTE SHIT and trying to lick the magic crystal. and here where he was easedropping from the office and the guildmasters get all kinds of awe filled and excited.
9:48 That's Ainz using the Lip-Bug. He doesn't want to let the people notice, that he and Momon has the same voice. For the Angels: Do you remember the Angels in Season 1, which attacked Gazef? One of those Angels (they're called Cherubim Gatekeeper), Ainz had summonend here, would be wiping the floor with the entire Re-Estize Kingdom. Ainz summonend them, because he wanted bodyguards and because he didn't wanted to scare the people not so much.
Also: If he would've summonend undead Creatures at the same level those Angels have, the undead would've had a Death Aura, killing everyone, who comes to close to them. Sooo... that wouldn't be a very bright idea.
The Death Knights, which are patroulling through the city, are the police force now. They never get tired, can not be corrupted and would go by textbook with the laws. For complicated matters, there would more intelligent undead like Elder Liches
Instant death auras can be deactivated, the problem is that scary monsters don’t give him a good image

fun Maid of the Day fact ^^ Ainz wanted to give the maids holidays .. but they all revolted "Do you hate us" or "why do you take away our reason to live" etc... so he decided to implement a maid of the day roster, where one maid would stay at his side and take care of things for him exclusivly instead of their normal cleaning duties .. and for them to be their best in the presence of their overlord it should only be natural that they had to rest and prepare for a day before such an important assignment .. it worked and now all maids have at least one free day a year ^^
