may have seen this already but I suggest reacting to Buakaw and Saenchai as well.
So kickboxing is punches, kicks and knees. Thai boxing (Muay Thai) is punches, kicks, knees and elbows + clinching and trips. There are other smaller differences, too, but those are the major ones.
Regarding fighters looking young, yeah, they are younger on average. Many start their careers very young (7-10yo), and fight very frequently, like twice a month, which is why you see their records in the hundreds. Combine this with their grueling training every day, and you might see why many retire under the age of 30-35. But then the Asian fights naturally have less body and facial hair in general, which can make them appear younger to foreigners.
Muay Tai is like kickboxing with punches kicks knees elbows and trips. Kickboxing doesn't have trips.
kickboxing cannot elbow and clinch too.
Muay Thai is thousands of years old. Kickboxing exist since the 70's.
As for why he was a threat to Mighty Mouse; it was the alternating rounds and rules thing. Mighty Mouse's only chance really was to survive the first round under Muay Thai rules so he could choke Rodtang out in the second. As he did. There was no other way he could've gone the distance with Rodtang while fighting on his feet. That was really the question on everyone's mind in anticipation of the fight as well. No one expected Rodtang would've been able to match someone like Mighty Mouse's ground game in preparation just for this one fight: the question was: can Mouse survive 1 round?
Awesome of you for checking out Rodtang!^^ Enjoyed the reaction and you just gained a new subscriber!
I would love for you to check out the video titled (BUAKAW - God of Muay Thai (Original Career Documentary))
He's one of the legends of Muay Thai and this Is one of the best documentary/highlights of him imo, with all the important fight scenes of course!^^
Thanks for taking the time to make those videos! And greetings from Germany!
I’ll definitely check it out. Muay Thai is amazing!!
Buakaw his age is 41 now but still fighting
I enjoy the "chessmatches" of MMA and boxing. But for the people that just want action they should watch Muay Thai. I dont understand why it is not more popular.
It’s not a hammer punch, it’s call the uppercut elbow.
Good reaction bro 🦾 you pick up the details and piece things together well
in muay thai you can kick, punch, elbow, knee, clinch and do trips and sweeps (hip throws and double legs aren't allowed), in kick boxing you can just kick, punch and do knees while you aren't holding the opponent (i think u are allowed one knee in the clinch or something like that but i'm not 100% sure) also in kickboxing you aren't allowed to catch your opponents kick which means you are only allowed to block kicks. stylistically in kickboxing you see more punching combos and movement while in muay thai you see more kicks, less movement and a bigger focus on aggression and fewer but more devastating hits and a lot more blood due to the elbow cuts. in thai though there are a lot of different styles, there are fighters who focus more on punches and kicks, those look more like your traditional kickboxers, then there are styles who focus on elbows knees and clinching but there are also technicians who focus on defense, mobility and outsmarting their opponents, those guys are usually cheeky too and love to faint and taunt their opponents. wearing large gloves for kickboxing and small for thai is a thing that happens in one fc, in thai you will generally see big gloves for muay thai too, although i have seen some fight traditionally with only ropes wrapped on their hands.
Nice you reacted to muay thai btw react to Joseph Vincent documtarys pls they made loads of boxing muay thai and mma documtarys
most of the time kickboxing’s rules are punch kick knee with some rule sets allowing clinching, muay thai is basically kickboxing with the addition of elbows, clinching, and throws🫡
🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️couldn’t be farther from the truth
@@tony.sparksalot7515 can’t tell if you trolling or not but yea bro you got it
Bro in Asia the do over 100+ fights ... They are real warrior's ✊🏾
Rodtang and the other fighter Rodlek. Their names roughly mean “tank, or steel locomotive”. They are tanks
That’s cool! I never knew what the name meant!
4:40 Nope. That's an elbow in a vertical chopping motion. Pretty uncommon move because it leaves many opennings. It's good in certain situation but you need to be careful.
Trust me he's a goat
Saenchai is the consensus GOAT of muay thai
hes top 10 not goat lol
Lerdsilla and buakaw are better
@ernestamar8885 no, saenchai career better. anyways samart, dieselnoi, wichannoi, poot lor lek, pudpadnoi, somrak, chamuakpet + more, all clear those three.
@@foulelements I think they're each master of their type,
Buakaw fast and power
Saenchai agile and super technique
Lerdsila agile and untouchable
@@mickbotcast the best golden age muay thai fighters voted in a poll on who the muay thai goat is
1. Samart Payakaroon
2. Dieselnoi
3. Vicharnnoi Porntawee
Yes bruh your right no ground attacks in muay thai
4:50 that you mention he try to elbow.
Bru every muay thai fight is like that
The ”hammerpunch ” are elbows my friend! 😎✌️
Haha imma have to watch again! Thanks appreciate it
@@DaVizionEnT No problem my friend! Nice to see people find out about RODTANG! 👊👊🇸🇪😎✌️
When Japanese fight against Thai boxer, they mostly prefer Kick Boxing Rule, not Muay Thai Rule, because Japanese boxers are good in Kick Boxing us what you have seen in the fight.
the fighters in thailand start fighting at the age of 7 so they retire earlier
ถ้าคุณอยากผมอายุ 42 คุณต้องไปดูบัวขาวให้ตอนนี้เค้ายังชกอยู่ 🇹🇭
React to Shavkat rahkmanov (make sure it’s a recent video) he’s 18-0 and he’s won all his fights by finish
I’ve actually had him on my radar. Thanks.
trips, throws, clinch knees n elbows legal in muay thai not kickboxing though.
hey buddy you have to react at giorgio petrosyan the best kickboxer ever!!!!!! ;)
and also since you are mma noob kickboxing is not asian thing it's created in USA lol and some of ur favourite MMA fighters like pierrera and style bender and many more used to be kickboxers tat's why style bender is mocked as Chinese because he used to fight kickboxing in chiana lol. muay Thai competitors ofthen compete in kickboxing tournament because they rule similar and they pretty good at it.
Rodtang isn't in MMA. Not sure what you being an MMA noob has to do with this. "Football noob reacts to LeBron".
he's not even the goat in present. buakaw is and then saenchai they are still alive and active. don't get sht mxed up
it's not a hammer punch , he did elbow
