It’s probably already been explained in the comments and I’m a little late but the reason the fight was stopped at 16:27 in this video was because of unresponsive strikes. The guy wasn’t knocked down but he was like a zombie unable to throw punches back and the referee saw it. He was beaten while still standing up.

Three incidents besides Mike’s own choices, that derailed Tyson from becoming the GOAT. Number 1 is Cus D’Amato’s death! Cus was his father pretty much & he instilled the discipline that young Tyson had to be the ferocious beast that he became. Put yourself in Mike’s young shoes & the tragedy that Cus’ death must’ve been to him. That pain leads depression & that leads to neglect of one’s own life Number 2 was Don King. Talk about night & day between D’Amato to him! King pretty much blew up his ego & that started to effect Mike’s drive to keep training like he used to. Buster Douglas is the prime example. However, Tyson should’ve won that fight but for the referee’s extreme slow count of Douglas’ knock down. Still, Douglas was piecing him up pretty good & that was because Mike was partying too much. Self medicating & the misbehavior is a symptom of his unhealed pain from Cus’ death. Number 3 is Robin Givens & her mother. As a man who got himself in a pickle dating an actual narcissistic woman, I can personally vouch that that woman had me behaving in ways that I never would’ve ever behaved before. I suffer from trauma from Iraq & totally understand what that woman did to Tyson. Otherwise Tyson would’ve been recognized as the best knockout artist if not the GOAT. To answer your question, I would do my best to have Mike punch himself out of gas & then start working technique to wear him down more. I don’t wish to try that theory & the best answer is not show up! 😂

I'm a Strickland fan but this was definitely not a robbery. How I see it is that the fight turned out to be so close (rounds 2 and 3 are toss up rounds) that the winner in the end would have to literally be like a coin toss, it's either heads or tails and you have to pray that your lucky
