Hmmm. Great video OP!
I didn't like the film as well. Although it's made so well, it definitely will have extensive implications of people's aspirations from different sections of Indian society and will give a "validated" reason/motive for aspirants in their pursuit for "success". This is detrimental in the long run and using predated formula for story telling doesn't make it ground breaking in any capacity.
The decisions of the lead are deeply flawed. Of course in such circumstance characters from their specific background, their experience, knowledge and worldview are in some form of tunnel vision and choose to do what everyone does. Maybe showing things that doesn't work or things/paths that most are unaware would have been exclusively additive in the popular social discussions but it definitely would have lost it's reach because most people wouldn't identify the means, reasons, methods or the fruits of success. People's unrealistic expectations are shown to bear fruit for the lead which in turn gives people hope. Hope is good. But sadly it will be misunderstood and misinterpreted. This is just the sad reality.
Hope films in some form inculcate innovative ways to tell new stories that breathe fresh air for world cinema as a whole.
Thanks for your input, it is a very interesting take and a very well put comment! The choices Manoj makes can very well be interpreted as being haphazard and reckless, but at the same time the movie captures the essence of life, the beauty of randomness of it. The biggest role in Manoj’s life is played by life itself. Stories like Manoj are 1 in a million and need to be told responsibly but I also believe stories like these need to be told because when one doesn’t take a risk, a rather beautiful part of life remains unexplored.
He didn't say that he didn't like the movie, you misinterpreted it wrongly. He absolutely loved that movie
How is the decisions of lead are deeply flawed?

Make video on less no. Of cinema screens in india and downfall of single screen theatre and why cinema is so much expensive in india
Hi! That is a very good suggestion, something I did not think about before. Thank you for your valuable input, I will try to research this.

damnnn
Beautifully presented your views. But I am still confused why you did not like it? Nt sure, if you made that clear in ur video.
Hi! Thanks for the question. Yes, I have presented it on a subtly ironic note. The film raises my standards for making friends like Manoj’s and driving me to become relentless like him. It is bad because I don’t think I will ever find that.
Can I please approach you with some business ideas? I am a cinephile like you aswell!!

I saw " The Persuit of Happyness " yesterday and it was an amazing film.. From my perspective I think it shows his ups and downs and his speaking skills were great and in last when he got the job the emotions were great.. a very nice film.
Thank you for following up on the recommendation! The points you have mentioned are good. One thought however that always comes to mind when I think of the movie is would a homeless man with paint stained clothes be ever allowed to even linger around a building let alone for an interview if it were our country?
@@ReelRealReflect Yes, I think in our country, the guards don't even allow us to enter the building.
