That would depend on what GPU you have and what Texture quality you currently use. For context: 1. The Lower Streets Texture option lowers your texture quality by one tick, so if your Texture quality is set to high then streets will use medium textures, if texture quality is set to medium then streets will use low textures. 2. The higher the Texture quality is set. the more VRAM (memory on your GPU) the game will allocate and use. If the VRAM usage goes over then what is available, than you're running into the issue I explain @9:05 . Ideally you want to look at the VRAM usage and stay under it's max.
Yes I am, I'm using Windows X-Lite. I just want to be clear here: Use custom ISO's at your own risk. Personally, I only use these customs ISO's on my systems that I only do gaming on and nothing else, no banking or w/e.

the game has bad optimization. With such a processor and graphics card, deleting programs and messing with them doesn't help. The equipment is top of the line. No settings change the game's optimization. There is no magic bullet for this game. The game's creators themselves admit that the game is still being optimized, but nothing will be done on the streets. So such videos don't make sense, but I was curious to see what the next person would come up with on their channel
Yes the game needs optimizations but if you're experiencing major stutters and FPS drops than these type of videos will help a lot of people. I see people having way lower fps or having major stutter issues daily, and because I saw so many people with these type of issues, I made this video. I'm not aiming or claiming here that this video will increase your FPS by 200FPS because it's simply unrealistic. My aim with this video is to have people run their game as best they can, no matter how bad the game is optimized.
I have a 4070TI and a R5 5600X, 32gb of ram that i bought just to run the game better and still struggling with stutters and fps drop. Tarkov is a real mess
@@snxs5519 If you bought this CPU recently I would highly recommend returning it(if possible) and get a X3D part instead, ryzen 5000 non 3D are great CPUs but they will fall behind in Tarkov, especially noticeable on maps like Streets and Lighthouse. i just sometimes have a stutter which im annoyed about, i think its just the game to be honest, im running a 3080ti with 9800x3d. i did pagefile on m.2 and disable fullscreen optimizations, playing borderless. Any more tips?
How often is this stutter? is it random? is it every 1min? etc What is the pagefile setup? Offline and PvE have some stuttering currently but if you're refering to PvP it should be all smooth. For ingame settings: don't use: unheard background, ram cleaner, use physical cores only. High textures can cause weird things to if you play for long periods of time, especially with streets and lighthouse as those use a lot of VRAM.
@@wildgg Thanks for the reply man, i just have big fps drops from 160 to 100 when moving around through map PVP. Pagefile is 16GB. I can try turn off physical cores and ram shizzle.
I would need a little bit of context because there are so many factors when it comes to FPS numbers in this game like: What mode was that 80fps based on? PvE, PvP, Offline? What settings are being used? what are the PC specs? Also, is this FPS based on the current patch with the event? the current event with all the zombies drops FPS by a lot.
@@austinperez4028 Your FPS seems correct for that CPU, you're CPU limited here for sure. 9th gen intel isn't great for tarkov and it doesn't help that you have a F series CPU which has lower clock speeds and way lower cache amount. Since you have a 75hz monitor and can reach 75fps you wouldn't really have a better experience by having more fps. Nothing you do will fix bad optimization by the devs, the best way would be to ask them for a refund or go through your bank to get said refund and uninstall the game while purchasing titles that optimize their game well.
So if refunding is your best solution, why are you watching tarkov related content? I can't optimize tarkov, that's on BSG. My aim with this video is to have people run their game as best they can, no matter how bad the game is optimized. A lot of people play this game because they enjoy playing it, hopefully this helps them.
@@wildgg well if BSG won't bother to optimize the game and lots of people using whale rigs complain about the performance then what option is left other than voting with your wallet? I understand people enjoy the game but it's not right that they're charging so much for higher tiers of the game and seemingly doing nothing meaningful with the money. Releasing a game mode that's not even fun to play due to the cheater epidemic and a map that barely runs and breaks every other update is not money well spent in my opinion. Along with the constant server problems causing bad hitreg and desync ever since the game came out being the icing on the cake, makes you really think if they really care or if they're doing the bare minimum to keep the masses from refunding. I was looking at purchasing the game until I did the research and it seems like a waste of money in my opinion. Just was looking if any optimization guides would actually work to slightly skew my interest in the game but it seems like that's not the case sadly.
@@VexxedSR I'm not going to argue the current state of the game but from a dev point of view it also doesn't make a lot of sense to start doing a ton on optimizations untill they're out of beta, in their eyes if it can run well enough than that's all they care about. Many people have played this game for years, hell I even got the base version for free and upgraded it later on. There no game out there that feels like tarkov at the moment and that either worth it to you or it doesn't. @@wildgg Yea will check it later on and might purchase it but it's just mainly the server issues that have thrown me off. Another issue people might have is mouse polling rate. My mouse at 4000hz made the game unplayable, changed to 1000hz and it now works flawlessly.
Yes, good point! I've seen this be an issue more and more recently
On the street map, is it recommended to activate the "lower texture resolution for Tarkov streets" option?
That would depend on what GPU you have and what Texture quality you currently use.
For context:
1. The Lower Streets Texture option lowers your texture quality by one tick, so if your Texture quality is set to high then streets will use medium textures, if texture quality is set to medium then streets will use low textures.
