Castor oil doesn't help the hair grow faster. It will help you with retention of hair with less breakage, so hair will appear longer. Hair generally grows 1/2 inch per month
@KarenofCurlHouse I think that castor oil is not filled with nutrition and goodness. Moringa oil is all natural and packed with vitamins such as zinc and potassium. You are so naturally pretty. Stay beautiful and enjoy 2024.

I wish i would've known this when i first went natural. I recently started putting it on my hair, and it's a miracle worker. It helps keep my natural curls from drying out.

Castor Oil packs have CHANGED the quality of my life (if you know, you know). But back on the hair - as long as I go easy on it, Castor Oil is great for me. My strands have gotten finer now that I'm perimenopausal, so I can't be too heavy handed when I wash my hair, thus I can't put a lot of Castor Oil in it. I use Haitian Castor Oil and Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
Now you just taught me something! Castor oil for fibroids? Wow 🤩. Now that is AWESOME!! Its so refreshing to hear you say that something as natural as castor oil has a profound effect on you. I love taking the natural route as much as possible. And yes, castor oil is a bit heavy. I will check out the other ones you mentioned!
Does itchy scalp means hair growth? My hair always itches when I take care of it. I use castor oil and take vitamins to promote hair growth. I even wash regularly during and in between protective styles?
So I have a question. Will the color in the Castor oil because you have salt and pepper colored hair. Will that change your hair to yellow? A former hairdresser told me that when you have Gray hair. Whatever the color of the product you use that contributes to the yellowing of your Gray. Is that true? I tried to find products that are all clear or white. But it's not always possible. And in that case, how do you get rid of the Gray color in your hair? I don't want my hair purple thank you.
haha! Purple hair! You certainly have to use that purple shampoo sparingly! So certain colors in products can turn your hair, but not all oils do. I have gray hair and I use castor and jojoba and it does not discolor my hair because it although it has a yellow tint -- its a very pale yellow. I actually created whole video on this. I used castor oil for about 7 years. My hair absolutely loved it. Suddenly, one day, my scalp started itching nonstop. It took me a few days to realize I developed a sensitivy to the castor oil.😢 I stopped using it and have not had any more problems.
I wonder if it could've been the brand or a change in the product. Also, although not likely, castor oil can clog pores on the scalp. Sometimes it's necessary to use a clarifying shampoo to start fresh.

I like castor oil. It helps with growth. But I'm still in the early stages of transitioning to natural hair, and my hair is going through such an awkward time! I feel so ugly! 😭😭😭
I I know it can be very difficult to transition! When was your last relaxer? What styles are you wearing? How can I help you with your transition - what can o address via video?
@@KarenofCurlHouse Hi Karen! My last relaxer was December of last year. I go to the salon every two weeks for a shampoo, deep conditioner, and a set on perm rods. You can use castor on your body by doing a castor pack, it's extremely healing. If it absorbs in the body to heal, why wouldn't it absob into the scalp?
@@barbarahayes4696 I’m not well versed on castor packs, however, It sounds as if the toxins would be drawn out vs actually being killed after the oil’s absorption.
